I went in here expecting a standard beverage. I ordered and the service was standard. The ambiance was very well decorated! Anyway, immediately after sipping my rose milk tea, I transformed into an elegant 16th century noblewoman. A peasant asked for my number and I scoffed in his face and brushed my hair out of my face with a porcupine needle and spine expensive brush and trotted out of the store in a fancy white layered gown, a white jeweled sun hat, and a pearl necklace and blue diamond earrings. A cozy boba spot located in downtown Davis. This place has not only a variety of boba options, but also a variety of snack options! The store has two self serve machines, but I believe you can also order with an employee as well. The self serve machine is very convenient though, and it allows you to customize the ice level, sugar level, toppings, etc. The interior decor very cute and cozy -- I can tell a lot of care and effort was put into making the environment comfortable and welcoming. There is also a recreation room with couches, a bunch of games, and a huge Connect 4 game on the side of the back side of the wall which is the greatest thing EVER. So many options... perfect place for people who like to explore. Terrible if you're indecisive. If you're craving a very unique drink that's tailored to your tastes, give this place a try. It's pretty inspiring to see a shop with so many specialty drinks. They've got a lot of passion in creating the perfect drink for everyone. Personally, I was touched by their coffee selection. It was DELICIOUS. I went with a crew of 6 people so we tried a lot of different flavors. Given the variety of options, not all of them hit our palate. The only reason this place got a 4 is the normal amount of ice they put in their drinks. I think they fill the entire cup (or at least 3/4's of it) with ice. Like many of the other drinks, the pudding was flavorless. Now, I don't like T4 drinks, BUT I was hoping that the snacks would save it. I love T4's popcorn chicken and calamari in SJ, so I thought it would be the same or at least similar in Davis. It was a big letdown that the basil popcorn chicken was not very crispy, and there was one measly basil in the BASIL popcorn chicken. The calamari was calamari rings rather than calamari heads like in SJ. I guess this is unfair as I'm comparing it to SJ, but even without doing so, the price already isn't worth it for the small portion size they give you. Onto the positive side, T4 is a nice place to hangout and chill. The store has a nice lounging area with a few board games and a giant connect four. I see quite a few people coming here to study too. I guess that's why a lot of people say T4 is the best boba place in Davis because of the atmosphere, but I still understand it. All in all, I don't recommend this place if you want good boba. Ballet chocolate milk - basically just chocolate milk lol Kumquat lemon - if you're looking for a fruity drink Potted milk tea - like a regular milk tea but with oreo I also love coming here for the snacks! My go-to snacks are the basil popcorn chicken, curly fries, and fried calamari. The popcorn chicken and fried calamari are so crunchy and the the portions are very generous. The fried lobster balls are good as well, but it is kind of pricy for the amount that you get. They also provide ranch, but you do have to ask. They also provide free stamp cards so for every drink or snack you purchase, you'll get a stamp. T4 is my favorite milk tea/ boba place in Davis. My favorite drinks of theirs are the caramel milk tea and the potted milk tea. With their milk teas, you can taste the brewed tea in them which I really love, you can tell they don't over steep their bags either because there isn't a bitter flavor. With T4, you can count on the boba being pretty fresh and your drinks being consistently made + ice adjustment + sugar adjustments. They also do the best curly fries in Davis! Topped with pepper and a side of garlic chili sauce, the curly fries come in perfect spirals that are so tasty. The T4 space is nice too, it makes a good study spot on school days and hang out anytime, they used to have games you could borrow pre- covid, I wonder if they'll bring that back. I was a little skeptical because of how this place would fit everyone in my group, based on how tiny it looked from the outside. But I was pleasantly surprised at the space inside. It's tucked away inside a little courtyard that is surrounded by a couple of shops, and you can order on a kiosk which will then text you when you order is ready. I got sweet potato fries, which were warm, a nice level of crispy, and salted, and the workers provided plenty of ketchup packets and wooden sticks you can use to stick into the fries instead of using your hands (sorry, didn't take a photo before eating). Their grass jelly also has a nice subtle flavor and texture too. The place is decorated really well, and it gives off a very hip vibe, especially with a semi-secluded lounge area towards the back of the shop. They also have lots of board games, card decks, and a large Connect 4 if you're looking for something to do while chilling. Service was relatively quick even with a full house. The only downside to this place is the parking, but as with any place in downtown, it is difficult to find parking. I just parked at Whole Foods and walked over. I came here with my boyfriend and as expected, service was a bit slow because everyone is still learning the ropes. The place is pretty spacious and very clean. They have a space in the back that is quite intimate and would be perfect for date night because it has a very cozy feel. It's very clean and they have various board games for you to choose from. What caught my attention was the fact that they have a giant connect four. Yes, giant! I can def see that one being a popular game here. I ordered a matcha with fresh milk with both black and white boba. They only had small at the time I ordered because the large boba was still being cooked. No biggie. More boba in Davis! Not a bad thing, definitely. T4 has been opening up locations in the greater Sacramento area for a while now, and it is certainly one of the better franchises to get boba from. They serve a huge variety of drinks from fruit teas to milk teas to slushies and more. Hot food items can also be ordered at T4, but at the time of this soft opening review, it wasn't available yet. The Davis T4 location is located in a little plaza that is hidden away from the main street. If you don't notice the sign, you might miss it entirely. It's in the same place as Hometown, Zen Toro, and Ho Ho Market. The location is actually pretty large for a T4 - one of the most spacious I've ever been to. There is a good sized main room and a sweet side room as well. The place is decorated nicely with the T4 teal and white color scheme. It's also nice and bright in the restaurant - which is a plus. In terms of their drinks, there are plenty of options. One of my recommendations is the lemon bomb green tea. It's a tea in which they place an entire lemon on the inside of the cup. At its original sweetness, it's a great refreshing drink with a little tartness. I find it a well balanced drink that you can get hot or cold. I usually find T4 drinks on the sweeter side, but I'll have to reserve judgement until I come here more often. The nice thing is that you can adjust the sweetness level of the drink to your liking. Just as with many boba places, some board games are provided if you want to hang out with friends and pass some time. There is even a giant connect four and jenga if you so desire to play. T4 is a bigger name franchise to add to the Davis boba experience. Despite it's slightly hidden location, I think it should do pretty well in this town. This place is decently-pretty crowded at times. Unfortunately, even when they have so many people working at non-peak times, they're so slow. But there's ac so waiting inside on a hot summer day isn't too bad. There's not much to say about the drinks. It's pretty standard. But food wise, I feel like I can get more at the other locations. It was only filled up to ¾ where we can close the box easily. Normally we would have to shove the food in to close it. There are also a numerous amount of games available to choose from and even a large connect four. However, the games look quite dirty so I didn't even want to touch it. I was pretty excited when I heard the news that T4 was opening in Davis. The drinks I've had are all pretty good, you can always taste that tea aroma which is very pleasant. The tea flavor is distinct among all the different flavors you can get. Here's a few that I've tried so far. The lemon bomb green tea is really yummy, it's just the right amount of tart and sweetness at 80% sweetness, 0% ice. There's a whole lemon sliced in the drink. (You'll want to stab it with your straw since it's not cut all the way through). Rose milk tea is pretty nice, it's floral, but not perfume-y tasting. I think the pearl milk tea is a little too watery and milky though. The tea flavor is definitely there, very fragrant but I don't think they do the milk tea that well. Winter melon is so good, so refreshing! You definitely should get this, it's a Taiwanese classic. The employees taking my order and making my drink were super friendly.
