I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND DUSTIN ELECTRIC BASED ON THE FOLLOWING. A Dustin Service representative came to my home June 11, 2025 to repair a kitchen light and a bathroom light. After 1 1/2 hours he stated he could fix either light fixture and I was charged $276 for the service call. I did receive a photo of a replacement bathroom light and I responded lets move forward. I am still waiting for a response from Dustin. In the meantime I had another electric company come to my house July 9, 2025 to check my generator. I asked the service rep about my light fixtures. He checked the kitchen light fixture and slightly moved the socket and light came on. He looked at the bathroom fixture and stated he did have the tools or time to fix it, but would come back. read more

Bad communicators. I called them out to ground outlets as half of my house had outlets that are not grounded. Was told they would be to my house at 830am,but they charged me for their drive to my house, which I was not told ahead of time, so my clock started at 8am. Because I was concerned about the cost I asked multiple times where we were with cost, each time I was met with the same answer of "I don't know right now but this is the next step and this is all we have left to do". Their expert opinion was to use GFCI breakers because of how old the house was and to "save" on cost which we went with. They uncovered that the previous owners used back fed wiring after 5 hours (I was charged for 6 hours because of their drive and writing up the paperwork)and only 1 GFCI breaker was done at that point. I asked them to stop and get me the cost so far which turned out to be 1,423. My issues were They took 4 breaks only one of which was to get parts, the other three were spent on smoke breaks and talking, which wouldn't be a problem if I wasn't paying by the hour. My problem is not with their expertise even though I feel like four hours is a long time to find the back fed issue. Communication, transparency when asked about pricing and all the time wasted when I still mostly have the same problem I had before they came leaves me a little unsatisfied. read more

They installed can lights in our living room and 4 ceiling fan boxes in the upstairs bedroom. They were fast, very clean & did a great job!

We had about 10 light switches around the house that needed replacement. The entire process was very easy! From requesting a quote on Yelp to the actual day of repair, everything went smoothly! I was advised prior to my appointment date to buy my own light switches (saving me $$) or that they could supply them if necessary. The repairman was very respectful, having a mask on at all times and even wore shoe covers to protect our carpeting. Frankly, I am quite surprised that our two HUGE guard dogs (toy-sized Malteses) didn't phase him! Prices are very reasonable (ended up being right within the quoted price range), work was done professionally, and everything was disposed of accordingly--no messes for me to clean up. Cannot say enough good things about this company. Excellent customer service from Amy, at the front desk to my electrician, Collin. I called at about 3:45 p because all 3 of my smoke alarms that are hard wired went off for no reason and I could not shut them off. Collin was at my condo within 40 minutes and immediate resolved my problems. He offered very helpful suggestions and answered all my questions. Very good electrician. I scheduled an appointment for noon but he showed up early. I instructed the scheduler NOT to show up early since service was at my dads house and it was an hour drive to get to my dads house. My sister was at my dads house and she handled it. By the time I arrived he was done and gone. I sort of expected a quick visit but I wanted to know what he did since I invested quite a bit of time trying to fix the issue myself. read more

Dustmen Electric was aware before they came out the first time that raccoons had chewed through my wires. They restored half of my service and said they would be back to complete the job. We got rid of the raccoons. One month later, Dustmen Electric had not contacted me to finish the job. I called them and they said they were not coming back because of the raccoon problem. I explained the raccoons were gone and they knew there were raccoons in the first place. They did not have the courtesy to let me know and left me with the job half finished. Very unprofessional. TERRIBLE! I called them to fix a light that goes on and off by itself. They came in, "rotated" the bulb, which took 5 minutes. He went outside and took longer to write the bill for $150 and wanted payment immediately then left. 2 minutes after he left, the light went out. I called them to tell them their "bulb rotation" did not fix it and they said it's another $150 for them to come back out. DO NOT CALL THEM. read more
