When I got the computer back after WIN11 was installed the speakers made a noise and didn't work. When I called in James said he had no idea, the speakers were blown by them yet he had no idea. I decided to purchase a new computer, took it in to be set up and all data transferred from the old computer to the new computer along with the request of Microsoft Office being put on the new computer. When I picked the laptop up, Randall went over the bill saying Microsoft Office was on the computer, all the data was transferred over. That was not the case, when I got home Microsoft Office was not on the computer. I made 4 phone calls in with issues with the new computer. James told me he did not put Microsoft Office on since he didn't like the charge, I asked why I was charged for it to no answer. He said he put LibreOffice on which wasn't on the computer, so he remotely installed it. When I picked my new computer up I requested my old one which was a good thing considering all my data was not copied over from the old laptop. I did send a letter requesting the refund for Microsoft Office and I did receive it but I felt that should have been given to me when James knew he didn't put Microsoft Office on the computer. I have always taken my computers to Advanced but after the last two times and nothing but issues once I have gotten may computers back, I won't be returning. I will go where I get quality and honest work.

Zack was very helpful and honest about their process, how long he thought it would take, and what the costs may be. About two hours after I delivered the product to be repaired, I received a phone call letting me know they could not do the repair. While I was dismayed to find out, they were very polite and did not charge me for their time to look at the device. If I had a product that needed to be repaired again, I would certainly give them another try.

I figured it would be at least a day (and so was ready to cancel my coming work shift.. work from home on my computer). So, imagine my surprise when Zack called 20 minutes later letting me know that he had identified the problem. He ran further diagnostics, made some program changes for me and I took my computer home later that same afternoon. The rate was more than fair. I've had lots of negative experiences with computer repair shops and people in the past. PC Guy and Zack elevated my view profession. Integrity, expertise, courtesy, professionalism, value.. just a few words to describe them. Took my laptop in to get a screen replaced, and ended up getting such repairs with a few other…read moresurprises. -Total repair time was estimated for 1, maybe 2 weeks. It ended up taking around a month for the repair to be finished. -There was physical damage to my computer when it was returned. The plastic bezel was broken completely off in one corner and the other end would not sit properly on the piece of trim below it. I would understand this being a fact of repairs, except I was not even offered an apology for the damage. -Other parts of my computer were lost. One of the rubber stoppers on the lid was "unfortunately misplaced". Furthermore a screw to the hard drive bay was lost. (I took the hard drive out, you in no case need to turn over your hard drive unless for something such as data recovery or repair. I highly recommend you take yours out if you ever get a computer fixed.) -Lastly, quality of repair. The screen that was installed was a cheaper $50 LCD. This panel was not IPS as opposed to the last one. This means that of you look at it from any angle except straight on, colors distort and contrast highly varies. Overall, I'm fairly disappointed. Communication was hardly established unless I called and waited for about ten minutes for the other guy to pick up. The quality of service was poor and there was substantial damage to my computer. I would not go back here again. GeekSquad also has a faster return rate (they also have insurance). I give it one star because I got the panel replaced however that came with many headaches and disappointments.
