If we're up for a salad bar, we'd return here again. Also, if you sign up for their email club, you get 6 free chicken wings on your visit. The ribs are hit or miss, tonight was a miss. They were dry and tasteless. The pork was cold . Service was great though.

Restaurant is a good gem for us. As a vegetarian it can be hard to find places to go where the food fits everyone. The server was great. Very friendly and helpful. We had the salad bar and it is on the smaller side but we found enough to have a filling salad. There is also a soup of the day. It was not a vegetarian option so we did not try it but there are a couple that wd work on other days. There is also bread and then several small salad options such as macaroni salad. For dessert there was a bread pudding and ice cream. Overall we were happy and will definitely go back for the salad bar. 4 stars instead of 5 for the smaller size of options on the bar. I am 68 years old and never have I had a manager of any business especially a restaurant talk to me in the fashion that this manager talk to me this evening. My wife and I are snow birds and live in Margaritaville. we have enjoyed Dustins Ormand beach for the last 4 years. Well, this evening my wife and I ordered the Brisket. When it arrived, there was a 2 to 3 inch wide section of FAT running through the middle of meet. When we talked to the server I mention that brisket was good but As a manager I would never serve such a cut of beef. If anything, I would of given it to the workers or taken home but never serve it. He said the cook cut it thick to make up for it and that we got a lot more beef than usual. Look at the picture and you can see you can't cut any thinner. We ended up going back to the salad bar to fill up. $20/person and still hungry (and I'm on Majourno!). The server who was VERY PROFESSINAL asked if I wanted to speak to the manager and I said no need just let him know what I said. On my way out I notice another person with Brisket. Much more meat and A LOT LEANER ! So they had other cuts and didn't have to serve the fatty cuts, so I decided to say something to the manager. I told him exactly what I said to the server that the meat should never have been served, the Manager then responded by saying "where is the rest of the Brisket?" We said we ate it. He responded "oh so you eat it then come over here to complain" I said to server, "you tell him what I said to you please?" The manager responded "He don't need to explain Shit to me". So, this manager not only treats customers disrespect but also treats his employees with disrespect. I then showed him the picture of the fat we cut off the meat and said. you think many people will come here if I post this on line? We did takeout on a Sunday night. I got the chicken dinner with beans and coleslaw. The chicken was so hard it could not be eaten. Wow, we were really impressed with this place. We just moved to Ormond and this place was EVERYTHING we were looking for. The girl at the register was training a new hire and they were super friendly and walked me through the menu and all the sauces. 'BBQ' is the most expensive food in the world (besides sushi), but the prices were pretty cheap. $7 for a 1/2 lb of pulled pork, ribs and shrimp (fried in cornmeal) were excellent. There were 2 pieces of bread and some meat, all over the place. Not between the bread. I know, that's not such a big deal but presentation is everything. The lunch comes with a side and fries but I opted for the Salad bar because it look so Oh delicious! the spinach was fresh and a good selection that included onions, green pepper, black olives, banana pepper and more. Lol I should of just said Subway toppings. One think I didn't like was the choice of dressings. Didnt offer Italian or Caesar. My guess it doesn't go with the BBQ. Other than that service was great for as busy as it was and the brisket came right out. Brisket was perfect and I used the hot BBQ sauce and sweet for a perfect mix. Never will I return to this place! Always has smelled great from passing by it on my way to Lowe's, but once you've tasted their food (and experienced the unhappy staff), you'll skip it altogether! Went in to order takeout for two. Wasn't through paying and one of the staff asked me to go sit down in the entrance. I politely told her I hadn't yet paid and was returned with a smirk! WTH? Got the food in short order and when I got home opened it up to find tiny portions of the 2 sides, and what looked like GFS corn bread loaves. First time trying Dustin's BBQ today. The atmosphere is like any other BBQ chain restaurant, barn like with southern style. Dustin's though is in need of renovation with a older carpet on the floor and older tables. As for the food it was ok at best. Tasted like a cheaper version of Sonny's or any other chain restaurant with hardly any seasoning. Not a horrible place but not a great place. Finally got a chance to try Dustin's BBQ. We come to Ormond Beach a couple of times a year and have not stopped until today. Highly recommend! Ordered the pulled pork sandwich with fries. Melts on your tongue!!! Son had brisket plate, with beans and okra. The brisket was moist and melted on the tongue, no knife needed. I had the chicken and st Louis ribs, rib meat completely fell off the bone, nothin left, had the grilled chicken option, it was moist which never happens. My husband and I stopped in yesterday for the salad bar. I went to the restroom to clean my hands. The most appropriate word I can think of to describe the overall conditions of the restroom is "disgusting!" It was evident that it had NOT been cleaned in a very long time. The floor was sticky with obvious filth buildup on it. There was the usual sign requesting "employees wash your hands," yet there wasn't a paper towel to be found or an air machine. I went to the cashier to retrieve napkins to dry my hands and mentioned the fact that there wasn't anything in the restroom to use. Then I began to look around the dine-in area - it was also extremely FILTHY! I cannot believe the health department hasn't stepped in and required the place to be cleaned up or shut down! What was once a go to place for a good lunch or dinner has come screeching to a halt for us. Memorial Day, we stopped in to enjoy a good lunch. WRONG. We both had the lunch special. Turkey sandwich on garlic bread, cole slaw and a side order of fries. The lettuce on the sandwiches looked to be old, freezer burnt or both. The amount of sliced turkey on the sandwich was a joke. Our side basket of fries was laughable. The cole slaw was actually SLIMEY and totally disgusting. We told the waitress and she offered to bring more or something else to replace it which was nice. Two sandwiches and two iced teas came to over $28.00. I understand prices must go up with the cost of goods, however, quality should never be compromised. Got the taste for a bit of bbq. Has your traditional fare sad those beans throw in some fried shrimp and fried okra and you've got a tasty meal. The food does it's job. They appear to have a nice little salad bar, not included. The staff is nice and up to par and the price doesn't hurt your wallet much. We stopped at this Dustin's location after church today, it was not crowded and we ordered the soup and salad bar. We were surprised that they only had one kind of soup when the other Dustin's locations have two, and when we asked the waitress why they only had one kind of soup she replied "Oh we never have two kinds of soup, we only have one all the time." Now as I recall, we have eaten there before and they had two kinds of soup. I told her that the other Dustin's always had two kinds of soup and she said, "Well sorry guys". It was chicken noodle soup and was not that good as it was lacking something. Our waitress never asked if we needed refills on our tea, nor did she attend to our table as she should have. Great place for lunch when heading to LOWES. I usually get the sliced turkey lunch or the steak with the sweet potato and beans. Both have always been good. The salad bar is nice but would like more items to chose from. The staff has always been pleasant to us. My wife usually gets the BBQ chicken half with sweet potato and beans.
