For this recent project, Yuri managed the timeline perfectly and kept us updated every step of the way. What we appreciate most is the consistency; the crew is respectful of our home, and the quality of the finish work is top-tier. Our home renovation…read morehad turned into a nightmare -- our previous contractor left our house completely gutted, uninhabitable, and in total disarray. We had lost money, time, and hope. Then, out of nowhere, we came across Chris, and from the very first conversation, he showed compassion, honesty, and genuine care. He couldn't believe what had happened to us and made it his mission to help us get our home and our peace of mind back. Chris and his crew started immediately and went above and beyond in every possible way. Since we were living in the home during construction, he built us a makeshift kitchen, secured areas without windows, and made sure we were comfortable and safe while the remodel was underway. His workmanship and attention to detail were outstanding -- he not only fulfilled our plans but added thoughtful extras, like a beautiful half bath we hadn't even imagined could fit. He stayed within our budget, communicated clearly, and treated our home as if it were his own. Beyond his skill as a contractor, Chris is an exceptional interior designer. His vision and creativity transformed our space into something truly stunning. His team was professional, respectful, and a pleasure to have around every day. After such a terrible experience before, finding Chris felt like a miracle. We can't recommend him and his company highly enough -- they didn't just rebuild our house, they restored our trust and made it a home again.

The primary project goal was to customize the home interiors to work better for the family living arrangement and bring more daylight into the home. The budget was fairly tight but there were lofty design and detailing goals. It was difficult to find a contractor that was interested in a project of this scale, who could deliver the level of finish expectations, and meet the clients' budget and schedule goals. We were introduced to Matan, who ended up being the perfect match for the project. Matan was thorough and transparent with his estimates in the initial budgeting stage. He carefully reviewed drawings and asked questions to make sure the design vision was being executed to a high level. He was very communicative about progress and construction issues, to ensure the project went as smoothly as possible. When unforeseen conditions were discovered, he addressed them quickly and fairly. The family moved out of the house during construction, but with young kids, they were eager to get back in as quickly as possible. Matan prepared an initial schedule and attentively managed the project to stay on track and get the family back home on time. In the end, the project was a huge success thanks to Matan and his team.

We were not disappointed. Marius and his team did a great job renovating our bathrooms, dining room, kitchen and part of our living room all before we moved in to our town home. The quote was a one the higher ones but in the end there was wasn't much creep to the quoted price. Which to us means he probably did a pretty honest job with his statement of work and the proposed cost. Oh, his proposal of the ones we received back was easily the most detailed as well. Expecting good craftsmanship and a timely project completion should be a given but is often not. Marius and team delivered there even with some curve balls (we ended up doing more than initially intended) we threw their way. Marius was able to manage all balls in the air and still manage to complete the project within an acceptable timeline. You can't always plan on vendors having sourcing issues on materials. Or having damaged or wrong delivered fixtures or appliances and other random setbacks. But they managed to deal with and remediate all the issues and keep our project moving forward. What we really appreciated was their professionalism, communication and responsiveness. He kept us updated on any project needs or timeline updates.Their ability to manage the project, warn and educate us on potential issues and provide solutions or remediations quickly. What can I say? They were great and if I ever had to do this again, we'd hire him again. We've passed his contact to a few friends and acquaintances already. Now, whether he'd do work for us again? That would be another story... I cannot recommend Popescu Construction highly enough.

Out of the companies that responded through Yelp, he came across as one of the most professional and serious about understanding the project rather than simply giving a quick estimate. He replied quickly to my questions through Yelp and was able to come out in a very reasonable timeframe to evaluate the work and discuss ideas in person. We hired Moe and the Optivest Build team for a decorative pergola/faux balcony repair and replacement project involving redwood, exterior trim work, stucco work, door jamb and casing repairs, sealing, and painting. The contract process was straightforward and I appreciated the flexibility and payment structure based on project milestones rather than everything being front-loaded. After Moe's initial site visit and evaluation, it became clear that a more comprehensive rebuild approach for most of the structure made more sense than piecemeal repairs. Moe explained the long-term benefit of rebuilding the deteriorated portions together rather than replacing isolated components now and potentially dealing with additional mobilization and repair costs again a few years later. I appreciated that he was not simply replacing wood, but also improving areas where the original design appeared to contribute to moisture issues. As the project progressed and portions were opened up, some additional weather and age-related deterioration was uncovered, which led to a few adjustments and additional repair steps along the way. Moe worked with me through options for addressing things as they were discovered and helped walk me through the process and next steps, which reduced some of the stress and uncertainty that can come with larger exterior repair projects. What stood out to me was that Moe stayed involved throughout the project, communicated with me consistently, personally came by to check on things, and had his project manager and crew return when touch-up or punch-list items needed attention. Even as the scope evolved, Moe stayed engaged throughout the project and continued working through follow-up, touch-up, and close-out items professionally. The crew was always polite and respectful of our property, worked hard throughout the project, and the project was fully cleaned up and closed out professionally at the end. No construction project is completely stress-free, but I appreciated that concerns were addressed and that the team worked to make things right when needed. In the end, the pergola turned out looking great, as did the additional trim, stucco, and repair work completed throughout the project. We are happy with the final result and would feel comfortable recommending Moe and Optivest Build to others looking for a responsive and professional contractor. Grateful to Moe and his crew for their job well done.

We started this whole mess on July 6th and I honestly thought my marriage was going to survive about 3 days of no sink. Done Right Builders showed up at 7 AM sharp that first morning and I will be real with you I was bracing for the worst because our last contractor ghosted us after demo. But these guys? They actually communicated. Like daily texts with photos. There was one screw up around week two where they ordered the wrong backsplash tile and I panicked because I thought we would be delayed another month. They owned it by noon that same day and had the correct tile expedited and installed by July 22nd at 4 PM. My only tiny complaint is they play loud 90s rock music during tear-out but honestly I miss it now. They swept our floors every single night which my weirdly picky mother noticed and she never notices anything. Done Right Builders is expensive but worth every penny because we did not have to redo a single thing.
