The second shop identified multiple additional issues and advised that the vehicle was not safe to drive. When I raised concerns, I was told I should bring the vehicle back for another inspection. After already paying for a professional diagnosis and being advised the vehicle was unsafe to operate, I did not believe that was a reasonable solution. I escalated the matter to Subaru of America and provided the details of my experience. Despite this, the case was closed without reimbursement or resolution. John Milburn and the team had multiple opportunities to address my concerns, but instead I was left paying for a diagnosis that I no longer have confidence in. If you're facing a major repair recommendation from Gold Rush Subaru, I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before spending thousands of dollars. I have to say that this was one of the easiest vehicle purchases I've ever made. Jim, our sales person was knowledgeable and honest about every aspect on the vehicle and financing. He assured me that EMC Motors would stand behind the purchase if anything went wrong with the truck. They TOTALLY lived up to their reputation to stand behind purchases, as I had 2 issues crop up after I took possession. One issue was a bad brake pedal sensor and easily fixed, the second issue was a front wheel bearing that again they fixed the next day after diagnosing the problem. Jason , their mechanic diagnosed it quickly and did quick work to repair it. Jason also advised me what EMC does to verify the mechanical condition of all their vehicles. Everything he said they had done was verified by my own inspection.
