Instead of closing a $40k cash sale with a loyal customer, the salesperson ran back to his manager twice over $265. Management refused to yield even $250 to close the deal on the spot. they said if you finance instead of cash we can split the 265 at $130 off ...Whaaaat ! This wasn't about the $250--it was about respect and customer appreciation. I've been going to Auburn Toyota for 3 years for service and have always been happy until now. Today I went in for a regular routine maintenance and while rotating my tires they broke a wheel cap. They tried to put it back on but told me that it probably would fall off because it was broken. I didn't make it out of the lot and it fell off. I called and talked to the service manager who's always been great. When I told him that it fell off his reply was that it was cheap and that he would just leave it off . I told him cheap or not they've been on the truck for over 3 years and never fell off until they broke it . He told that if I found replacements they would pay for half. He knew that it'll basically be impossible to find replacements not knowing what brand wheels are on the truck . Why should it be my responsibility to find the replacement part that they broke. My husband stopped on a Sunday to check out trucks. He ended up buying a Tundra and came home to let me know that we had to go Monday and make the payment and finish everything up. We arrived and we're greeted by the salesman and he asked us to wait as the lady was busy, after a bit he returned and took us to a man as the woman was going to be awhile. I bought a brand new 2025 Camry SE in September of 2024 from this dealership with 23 miles on it at purchase. I also purchased the most comprehensive service package alongside with it. I was beyond excited for my purchase and felt super secure in knowing that I was going to have my car taken care of when I dropped it off every 5,000 miles. That is when the fun stopped with this dealership. I have had more than a few occasions with the service department that have been less than pleasant, but today was the worst experience I have ever had with anybody that has serviced my car during my lifetime. Today I went in for my 30,000 mile warranty. For the 30,000 warranty, they are supposed to do a variety of things, including changing my oil and rotating the tires. For some reason, I had the inspiration of taking a picture and marking my tires to see if they were actually doing the service that they were paid to do through my comprehensive service package. When I received my car back, I noticed that all my tires that I had marked and had taken a picture of were still on the exact same wheel as I had them on when they arrived. Normally every 5,000 miles they rotate the wheel from front to back, this was not done. I went inside and asked the man exactly what was done with my car during this service. He informed me that the wheels were rotated along with the oil change and the other stuff that was done. I let him know that was certainly not the case as I had marked all my wheels before coming in and know they weren't moved at all. The man then went back to the service tech and confirmed with her that she did not move them at all (even though I was told and the service states they were supposed to). When I was leaving, the man asked me what he could do to make it right. Honestly, I was ready to buy another car for my girl who is pregnant from them. I even had the conversation while dropping off my car with this man that I was ready to buy another car. This has taught me that will not happen and I will be taking my business elsewhere for her car. They have saved me a headache of another car with them. I truly don't believe they even put oil in my car or did anything for my 30,000 miles. I don't even want to return to my scheduled maintainence with this dealership because I truly believe they don't do the work they say they do. It is sad that I have to take a physical picture and then confront them for me to finally be told the truth about my wheels. I work hard for my car payments and services. I hope this serves to anyone out there to not do business with this corrupt dealership. They do not do the work they claim to have done. I had a good experience buying a car at Auburn Toyota. I would rather avoid the entire dealer experience, but Auburn Toyota makes it less painful than most places. They pushed the Toyota connected services pretty hard, but I was able to avoid it. They also insisted on charging an additional $1,250 for a ceramic coating, but I was able to pay that for some paint protection film instead. I would have preferred to save the $1,250, but I wanted the car and I felt there was more value in paint protection film than their ceramic coating. I had an issue with their install of the front plate despite me asking the prior to delivery to leave it off. They made this situation right for me and made sure I was satisfied with the car, even after the deal had closed. They had no legal obligation to do this, it was pure good will on their part. If I ever buy another Toyota, I would certainly consider Auburn Toyota. read more
