My husband and I purchased a Toyota 4 Runner from this amazing family owned and run business. The experience was fabulous. They were easy to work with. Very forthcoming with all of our questions. They made us feel like family right from the beginning. This was by far the very best car purchasing experience we have ever had. Highly recommend this establishment. Worth the drive from Woodland. read more

Rocklin Auto Center - Love this vehicle! - Used Car Dealers Near Me - Rocklin, California

Amazing place to buy a car! The owner is super friendly, welcoming, and makes the whole experience enjoyable.

My husband bought a Toyota Tundra in November 2023. We were expecting our first child and my husband needed something bigger and that felt safer with our new baby. We found a decent priced Tundra here. 3 months later the check engine light came on. My husband took it to the shop and turned out the engine needed to be replaced. An engine for a Toyota Tundra costs over 30k. The biggest stress was brought upon us with a newborn baby and a truck that turned out to be garbage was brought upon us at a pretty hard time in our life. This wasn't a little loan type of truck and to be out of a truck with a big loan is so disappointing. I don't recommend this business or buying a vehicle from here read more

Great people, great service. Drove up from Oakland, night and day difference from other dealerships. Worked with us, knowledgeable, buying experience was easy, smooth, detailed and as efficient as you would want. Would definitely buy from again and recommend to anyone, especially those wishing to avoid the typical negative used car buying experience. read more

We called an inquired about a dodge pro master. The online data showed the vehicle had decreased from 24k to 20k. Even though it was severely under market value, we thought it could possibly be due to the fact that there was exterior damage, and we were willing to overlook that. We took the vehicle to have a pre purchase vehicle inspection, which I highly recommend everyone do. The vehicle inspection came back stating the transmission was leaking, one of the boots was corroded and leaking, the breaks needed to be replaced, the coolant levels were extremely low, amongst other issues. Due to the unknown time frame of leaking of the boot, it is possible this can cause other significant problems to arise regarding the mechanical function of the vehicle. The fact the owner was "shocked" or pretended to be shocked when I shared this information with him, is alarming on so many levels. It appears that this buisness is ok with selling faulty damaged vehicles to hard working people. Either that or the buisness sells vehicles without doing a vehicle inspection to determine the state of the vehicle? I'm not buying that. This experience made me lose faith in car dealerships, which honestly this doesn't look like one or appear to be a legitimate one. Be weary when purchasing here. read more

These gluttonous charlatans are selling a 1988 Toyota Camry for 4,000.00 dollars. A vehicle that is 33 years old. In no sane reality should an economy car that is 33 years old be valued at 4k. \ You are getting ripped off and stolen from if you give your business to this dealer. read more

Bought a used 2011 BMW from them about 4 years ago now. Still running like new. Pros: - Their price is very very reasonable. We drove a while to get to the dealership but it was certainly worth it. - The car itself has no defects. There's no visible paint chips and it seems the tires are brand new when we bought the car. - The process was simple. We drove the car off the lot within hours of getting to the dealership. - No major repairs was needed on the car since we purchased it. We don't drive much so we added about 30k to the car ever since we bought it. Only needed oil changes and break fluid flushes plus some standard wear and tear repairs. Cons: - The title transfer took a very long time. They didn't file the title transfer couple month after the deal. Almost had me worried. - They forgot to give me the keys to this custom installed rack thing on top of the car. Doesn't bother me though. Overall I can say you can definitely trust this business. Certainly worth the drive for me. Got a great deal on a great car with great service. I'll definitely recommend my friends to purchase used cars from this business read more

I was looking for a Ram Promaster 1500, 118 wheel base for a camper build. I was looking all over the place for a used one with low miles for a fair price. I couldn't find one at first and I have been looking for months. Enter Rocklin Auto Center, they had a listing with low miles at a really good price. I spoke with Pam and I had a great feeling with our conversation. I then spoke to Ron, same feeling. Pam mentioned that it's a mom and pop business and that's exactly what it felt like. I made the loooong 7 hour drive to test drive the vehicle. Got there Pam greeted me right at the door. I spoke to Ron right after, I specifically mentioned to him that it did not feel like a car dealership. It had a really nice comfy atmosphere. Something you would expect in a family ran business. Long story short, bought my van after the test drive. From the pictures on the add the van had old tires on it but when I got there Ron put on brand spanking new tires, still for the same price!!! He even took my trade in and gave me a higher price than all the other dealers I've spoken to, I bought the van right on the spot. I now have it and will be building it out as a camper. Thanks Rob and Pam, I will be sending you all pictures once it's done. FYI, they have a really cool German Shepherd. lol Two thumbs way up read more

I went in with an idea of what was wrong with my car and Ran was so great in helping to find the exact problem. He was the only shop that made time to help fix my battery that day because after all, who knows how long you have with a dying car battery? I was so grateful for his help and friendly service. He even accepted payment via Venmo App. I will definitely be coming back to this shop. Good people and a great business. Thank you guys for helping me when I needed it most. Most honest car sales ever. My dad and I found this place last min and the car is perfect and price was right and was in and out in less than an hour and a full tank of gas. Very happy with my purchase and now have the car of my dreams. Thanks so much for such a pleasant experience read more

After totaling a work truck, I needed to find a replacement quick. I called a dozen or so dealers in the Sacramento area in the hopes of finding a reliable truck at a fair price. After getting the run-around and visiting some of the sketchy dealerships in Sacramento, I found a listing for a truck in Rocklin. It seemed like a fair price and looked like it was in great condition. I called their office and Pam answered. After speaking with her for a few minutes, I had a good feeling about the dealership. They have a great online reputation and she told me they're also a repair shop and they do a thorough inspection before selling the cars (which is important!) When I arrived, Ron met me at the truck and gave us the run-down on the truck and had us take a test-drive. After the test drive was complete, I was sold on the truck. Ron was up-front and honest with any flaws the pre-owned vehicle had. Overall it was in great shape. After a quick negotiation, we agreed on price and he had me fill out DMV paperwork. It was a seamless process and I was in and out of there in 30 minutes (although we hung out a little bit longer and chatted with him and his Wife.) The process was amazing because I've bought several cars in my life and have always experienced tremendous pressure to "make the deal now or it will be gone forever." Ron didn't pressure me once and actually encouraged me to look at other cars I found online. All in all, I have to say Ron and Pam are awesome people with honesty at the core of their business. I highly recommend this business and you will not be mistaken doing business with them! read more

They sold me a lemon. They did a number of band aid fixes to get it off the lot. You know that shady car salesman in Matilda? That's the kind of shady this place is. Spend your money somewhere else! read more

I had a wonderful experience with Ron at Rocklin Auto Center. We wanted to get my daughter's 2006 Honda Accord ready for her to take to college in San Luis Obispo. One of the things we needed done was to have the catalytic converter etched with her license plate number so that it would deter thieves from stealing it and selling the CC to a scrap metal dealer. Ron was so nice on the phone and got my daughter's car in to the shop before she had to drive back to SLO. Ron was a great communicator throughout the entire process and I have nothing but positive remarks for this business. I wish there were more people like Ron who are honest and willing to help out in a pinch. I highly recommend going here for your auto repair needs. read more

They do not communicate with each other and come across as lazy. I called ahead and talked to a guy about getting my daughter's cars ac checked. I let him know that it was a salvage title, I was not expecting them to fix it, and I just wanted to know what was wrong so we could plan how to proceed. I've grown up working on my own cars and I mainly wanted to know if it was an electrical or mechanical problem. He said that was fine so we made an appointment. However, when my daughter went to drop off her car, they refused to even test it assuming that repairs would be more than the value of the car and I guess it wasn't worth their time. They made her feel like an idiot for wanting to know what was wrong with her car since apparently her car is a piece of junk and why would she want to fix it. read more

I wanted to support a family owned business with great ratings. I called and spoke to the owner's wife (Pam) regarding a used 2010 Honda CRV Black Pearl. I made my decision to make the drive based on her word. (I reside over 110 miles, 220 round trip). I asked for accurate information on the CRV. She told me "The car was clean, free of defects". Based on her information we drove to Rocklin. This is what I found: 1) Not the original paint. The factory paint was black pearl, l found flat black paint 2) Two (2) large gouges in the metal on the rear door 3) Visible hole in cloth rear seat upholstery. 4) Steering wheel was badly damaged 5) Radiator appeared corroded. After I pointed out some of the defects, she offered me the CRV for less money. Then Pam asked if I wanted to purchase another one of their cars? You may get a customer to drive to your business, but they won't test drive the vehicle or purchase another one from you. Moral of the story: Caveat emptor (buyer beware!) read more

We shopped all over the Bay Area for a car, but when we expanded our search, we found a car at Rocklin Auto Center. We drove 2 hours to their location and it was worth it. Ron and Pam were amazing. It is evident they only sell quality and well maintained cars. They were honest, friendly, and easy to get along with. They didn't pressure us, and we know they gave us a great deal for our purchase and trade in. This is the total opposite from what we found at other dealers during our search. I highly recommend using them when you want to buy a car. Support this family owned business instead of the big dealers who are only out to make a buck. We will be back... to buy and other car and chat! read more

I had a superb experience buying a car from Pam and Ron. They were responsive but not pushy and helped me get the car I wanted fast! Ron did a great job getting me financing and talking me through my options. They delivered the car to my home in Sacramento a couple of hours after I bought it, on a holiday week, with their two kids in tow. Thanks to Pam and Ron I have exactly the car I wanted, at a great price, and in time to make it to see my family for Thanksgiving. I will send my friends and family here in a heartbeat. read more

I purchased a 2005 Nissan Titan from Rocklin Auto a few months ago. I drove all the way from Oakland to check out a few trucks in the area. I am glad I was able to do business with them. They were awesome. read more

I came here at the end of October to buy a used Mercedes. I drove the car for few minutes inspected it and decided to purchase it the next day. The overall experience is average. Ron and his wife are really nice people, but I'm still feel average about the experience. It took 3 hours to feel the paper work to complete the purchase, even if I was purchasing it with cash bill and $1000 on credit card. Their credit system didn't accepted my Amex and I had to use my visa. We did the dmv paper three time cause of a misunderstanding on the names for me and my friend on the registration. For the insurance, I had to do it on the spot. they were really nice to let me use their computer to do so. I also purchase a warranty for three month or 3000 miles on the car. After 1 day, the maintenance light went off and I had to go back to check that with them. They replaced the catalytic converter and the front wheel stabilizer. I didn't pay anything, which I suppose to be included in the warranty. They kept my car for 3 days, and I had to call in several times to know the schedule to take my car back. The car have still some problem that I talk with them about, but apparently nobody looked... I was really surprised when I heard that Ron's wife drove my car without my permission for more than 200 miles. With all the insurance issues that could've been. Today I came in to fix another problem on the rear wheel. Nothing was done cause of he rain, I will have to go back... I'm still patient, and I understand that they are new, but the service is not what I expected. I hope the car will finally be fixed soon. Also, I'm living in Sacramento, so driving over there each time for issues, when they could've been solved the first time, is annoying. Basically, they are really nice person, but the lack of communication and the lack of listening from customer issues are the main problem. I'll give them a last chance and update the review later with the hope that it will work.... To be continued.... read more

I am not a huge yelp reviewer, but I do consult yelp quite regularly. It only felt fair that I write a review of the biggest purchase of my life. Buying a car is quite stressful but with Ron and Pam the decision was quite simplified. They showed me a variety of cars (sports, sedan, suv etc). The variety was substantial and allowed me to compare a wide range. Ron voiced his pros and cons on the vehicles based on my lifestyle. The time he spent did not seem rushed as he pointed out details on each car. I did look at other dealerships, even after meeting with them, but ultimately it was a no brainer. I came and purchased from them. Thank you guys for making a special anniversary gift for my wife. read more

Ron & Pam are wonderful. On our way up to Tahoe, I fried the wheel bearing on my pop-up trailer on a Sunday at 5Pm. Spoke with Pam,who was still there, said I can drop it off and have it looked at Monday. Ron kept in contact with me and had it ready by Wednesday so our camping trip wasn't a total bust. He had a heck of a time locating a new wheel but was able to get it done. Wonderful family business that will give you great service. read more

From the moment we met Ron and his wife we felt at ease. We so appreciated that they did not have the cheesy sales person approach. They were very kind and polite to us and did not pressure us at all. We really liked the indoor car lot and we found that they offered a better deal than carmax and other car lots. Also we found that the vehicle was in very good shape as we had our mechanic check it out. I would buy another car from Ron. Our experience was that good! read more

Purchased a used BMW from Ron and Simmer. We test drove it 3 times...checked other options both private and dealer and still came back to this car. Bought a 2010 Dodge 1500 from them in August. I asked them before buying it if they did basic maintenance on it and assured me they did. The truck did a have noisy exhaust, which they told me to bring it back in a few days to fix. I did and the mechanic on sight fixed it. I have a work car so I've only driven it not even a 1,000 miles since August. So since then the ignition module has gone out, the transmission and coolant fluid hadn't been changed and according to the dealer truck hasn't had a tuneup in years..spark plugs were nasty. Oh yea the noisy exhaust is back. So I'm out over $2,000. So even though they were nice to buy a car from, I'll never be going back to them. read more

In one word, Outstanding! Great experience dealing with Ron and his family. We are from the Bay Area and had called Ron about a car we had seen online. He promptly messaged us with information on the car. He followed up to make sure we received it. We took the 2 hour drive up and were not disappointed. The Corvette was beautiful! He worked with us a little on the price and we were in a hurry to get back to pick up my daughter from school and he completed the paperwork in record time. We were out in 1 hour. We would definitely do business with Rocklin Auto Center again! read more

Worst car buying experience possible. You had better avoid this dealership. I bought an 03 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport for $5000 cash, in the expectation of getting a car in good condition. If you go to the dealership, you're paying more money for a car because it is assumed that the dealership gives their due diligence to inspect a car before it goes on the lot. In all honesty, I should have been more careful when buying a car, but something like this is completely unexpected. Well, first off, the car I got has a KBB value of $2800 in excellent condition. The car I bought has major cosmetic damage, and after driving it for less than 500 miles, I noticed it had many strange things. I went to multiple mechanics, and the car needs over $3000 in mechanical work to make it safe for the road (struts, bad head gasket, the works). I believe that is the definition of a totaled car. There's no physical possibility that I caused the damage in such a short time. read more

Ron and Pam are amazing! We went on a Saturday morning to look at a car, but Ron already had somebody purchasing the vehicle. We left our name and phone number to call, if that deal fell through. Ron called later that afternoon and let us know we could come look at the car. We weren't able to get down that same day, but told him we'd be in that next morning as soon as they opened. Ron and Pam both showed a genuine interest in making sure that we were purchasing the right car, and that we were comfortable with everything. We did purchase a warranty- we haven't had the best luck with used cars. A power lock actuator went out the following day. We put a claim through the warranty: however, Ron followed up with us to make sure the problem was fixed and offered to pay the deductible. No used car sales pitch and excellent customer service. Also, a much quicker process than normal! When we need to buy another used car, this is where we will be going. Thank you so much Ron and Pam! read more
