The same person owns the Dunkin on Route 30 and the one on Calumet avenue, in Valparaiso. This has happened in both stores. My wife likes the sesame seed bagels......when they're "fresh. " I can't tell you how many times I've bought one that was like rubber. They insist they're made everyday and they throw out "old ones." Sorry, but I don't believe it. How can you get a bagel at 8 am in the morning and it's hard? How does that happen with a bagel that was supposedly made this morning? It doesn't. Not only that, but several times the bagels were burn't. Yes, dark brown. Anyone could look at it and know that a product like that should NEVER be served to a customer. Yet, they do it quite a bit. So I strongly suggest you check your bagel before you leave. One day they're nice and fresh and the next day they're like a rock or burnt. VERY dissapointing. I also emailed Casimir, the guy who runs the place. I NEVER neard a peep back from him. I feel pretty confident that he just doesn't care what he serves to his customers. We won't be coming back. I have visited Dunkin donuts from Minnesota to Pennsylvania to Florida for many years. This location in Valpo is now my favorite Dunkin Donuts in the USA! I spent a month in Valparaiso this summer and visited this DD almost every day. The service was excellent, staff was kind and welcoming, and the Coffee and donuts made to perfection. It got to the point that they knew my order before I got to the counter. They are also the ONLY DD that offers a discount on purchasing multiple coffee packs! Ordered a medium FROZEN Carmel coffee. The girl taking the order kept asking if it was iced, my boyfriend said 3 separate time "FROZEN", I even yelled from the passenger seat twice "No it's frozen" and when we pull up to the window they hand me some kind of mocha drink with Carmel drizzle. Really bad customer service. When we ordered we were answer with "alright, alright, pull forward", this was mumbled to us. Then we forget to add something to our order (because we couldn't believe what was being said to us at the ordering site) so we asked if we could add when we pulled to the window. At the window the lady didn't say a word to us, just took our money. After we asked about adding something to our order, all she said was "we can't". Then BOTH of our orders were wrong! One of the employees was sitting on the drive thru window when we arrived and spoke to us so rudely. We only asked why there is no sign on the door stating that the lobby is closed so people won't have to get out of their cars only to find the door locked and they immediately showed more disrespect. They were being very unprofessional, very rude, no respect at all for the elders. They proceeded to tell us not to come again (all for a simple question) and called us "pussy" as we drove off. I don't normally review fast food places, but the people at this location are soooo friendly and they actually work hard and listen to your order, and have good attitudes. The coffee is really good, compared to other places you can get quick coffee. I don't really like donuts, but the pepper jack bagel is seriously yummy, especially toasted. My grandparents come to this location pretty often and they are always very polite to him and friendly, and I know he appreciates it. read more

This is not directed necessarily towards this location but Dunkin Donuts as a whole. I use to love grabbing a dozen donuts for the weekend however it's just not good anymore. They are always hard sliding around the box like burnt cookies. Whether I get them in the morning or not. Then I come to find out that they are not made fresh anymore. They are made elsewhere, frozen and shipped out to the franchises to be thawed and sold. ‍ I have since been trying numerous bakeries that are comparable in price and the donuts stay soft and "fresh" for days. Before I start, I am only reviewing their donuts. With that said, I want to say that I will never get my donuts here again. Their filled donuts have only a trace amount of jelly or filling in them. Basically, you have paid for a plain donut. Their powder donut munchkins were stale. Not one ounce of softness there, very disappointing! I feel like they take no pride in their work. They are not consistent with anything. One day your drink order might be okay and the next it's absolutely terrible. Not to mention the employees are rude and would rather hang out and talk to each other than do their jobs. The little blonde girl that works there is very unprofessional and rude. Best hot chocolate! I actually drive out of my way to get it at this Dunkin' Donuts! It's thick and creamy! Better than the hot chocolate at the double d's on Calumet which is pretty watery and doesn't taste as chocolatey! Very friendly staff. Haven't had a problem yet! I go to a lot of Dunkin Donuts because I love their coffee. But I Have to go to this location every Sunday because its on my route. Every single Sunday for the last 4 years I take my kids and order them a breakfast sandwich along with my coffee. In the last 4 years, this location has NEVER, that's right I'll say it again, NEVER gotten the entire food order correct. I have never returned or even bothered to complain. For the first few years I let it slide because its small things like adding cheese when we asked not to, or forgetting extra cheese on another sandwich or giving us the wrong bread, and its usually only one of the sandwiches, not a big deal. Lately they have forgotten stuff here and there. But I started getting ticked just out of principle. So last Sunday, we made our weekly stop and I ordered three sandwich's. When we got the sandwiches, all three were wrong. And this time, they forgot my donut too. Straw that broke the camels back. I asked them to remake all the sandwiches, which they did without argument, but would you believe, they made us wait until the drive thru line was done getting their stuff. I'm sick of the lack of attention to customers and sick of never getting the right food or paying for food items I never get. They seem to not care very much about customer service there at all and certainly don't care about wait times which for me has exceeded 10 mins in the past. read more

They do not know how to make coffee at this Dunkin' Donuts. Several times my iced coffees have been pretty bad. I just deal with it normally and drink it anyway until I ordered a caramel frozen coffee today and it was literally undrinkable. First of all, it was liquid. Second of all, it tasted awful. So I go in and tell them it's not made right and she says, "What's wrong with it?" Then proceeds to tell me they ran out of ice but she thought it was fine anyway. Then she asks if I get them often.
