This is my go to in Chesterton for coffee. You can get drinks hot, cold or frozen. Lots of sugary choices and sugar-free options as well. Get their app to accumulate for free coffee. Nastiest iced coffee I've ever had. It was so bitter and the ice had already melted which was poor presentation to me and then I noticed lots of coffee grains in the bottom of my cup. Likely where the bitterness was coming from. Would not want to get coffee here again! Dunkin is way better. read more

There is no Starbucks in Chesterton, but Biggby is a great alternative. Plenty of seating for hanging out or working and the coffee is good too. I really like the self service for basic coffee on busy mornings. Similar to Dunkin', Biggby's latte menu trends much toward the dessert side. Lots of sweet flavors such as Cotton Candy (latte of the week). Bleh! Their basics are really good though. read more

I'm originally from Florida but I'm visiting Indiana to see my husband who is in the Navy commissioning a ship. I stopped by this little coffee shop to grab myself some much needed coffee and breakfast. I didn't know what to expect but I must say I'm impressed. Their bagel was extremely fresh and soft. They have a bazillion flavors and types of coffee to chose from, which I thought was cool. I don't think their is a beverage they can't make. They also had a long lists of lattes, teas and chai teas. Food items include muffins, bagels and baked goods. I'm very happy with this little coffee shop. I wish they had some in Florida! read more

5 minutes can be a long time. It seems even longer when you're standing at a counter in a coffee shop and all the staff ignore you.

So I was exhausted. Literally. Exhausted. I left Connecticut at 4 am and drove straight through to Indiana for Christmas, but needed coffee so badly to make it the extra half hour from Chesterton to my parents house. And behold. This Biggby's. I pulled up and didn't even read the menu, just told the woman running the loudspeaker I needed the strongest cold brew espresso whatever they had to help me make it to Hebron. I may have been exhausted, but it was one of the best cold brews I've ever had, even better than some of the cold brews I've had when I'm in NYC for work. Needless to say, I'm so glad I know this is here right off my toll road exit whenever I come home so I can get a caffeine fix. read more

My mom and I were just driving through the area and noticed this new place and decided to stop and try them out. Very colorful and inviting atmosphere. They have lattes that can be made hot, iced, or frozen, cream freezers that are smoothies, tea lattes, hot chocolates, kid options, and also several breakfast/lunch bagels! My mom got the mint chip freeze and I got the strawberry chai freeze on special! So good!! They have free WiFi and even a drive thru window!! Staff was very friendly and helpful. They've been open for about 5 weeks now and I think will do well at this location with the hotel and other business and Dunes around! There's indoor and outdoor seating weather permitting. Definitely will be back to try other flavors! Great first experience! read more

There was one of these in Michigan City a long time ago. They put one in Chesterton but we didn't go there for a long time. I saw a factory in Alpena, MI where they build the buildings that they can put up quickly and it picqued my interest. They do have a large variety of bagel-type sandwiches and muffins to eat. I didn't get any of these. The coffee appears to be the total typical Michigan style of "Put all the coffee into pump dispensers and let people get their own", which I think is kind of lame. Probably cuts down on the cost, though. I had the Black and Tan. I would say it's a step up from the coffee you get at a Hampton Inn. It will work in a pinch, but honestly, I make better coffee at home. read more

After calling 15 min in advance they still didn't have my order ready, had to stand out in the cold and wait for them to start my order since my vehicle is too large to take to drive up window and their lobby is closed. Then my latte was only warm, not hot like Starbucks. read more
