It's a smaller shop with no seating area on the inside so be prepared for grab and go. The prices are high for donuts in my opinion but you also are paying for much more then your typical donut and decorations. The donuts tasted good as well as looked very cool. I'm a traditional donut girl but it was very cool to try a place like this with lots of combinations. The staff was kind and very friendly and I appreciated getting to chat with them a bit more.

I had no idea this was such a hidden gem and have to share my experience! Upon walking to the entrance, I saw a cozy lounging area just outside. Upon entering, I was greeted by the staff and also soaked in the artsy and upbeat atmosphere inside. It was so unique in a very great way... artwork everywhere and lots of seating possibilities. For some reason, I expected ready-made sandwiches but learned that everything is made-to-order to ensure freshness. The two staff members couldn't have been more welcoming as they introduced me to the DaCapo Coffee family. There is also a location in Lambertville, MI - a sister location in Bedford Township by the same owner. I am sorry to admit that I'm one of those people who tends to special order. I decided on the roasted turkey club but didn't want bacon or mayo, nor did I want the croissant. They were very accommodating and made the the sandwich exactly the way I wanted it. It was also approximately 5:00pm and I was the only customer but I appreciated their flexibility. I took a seat at one of the tables while I waited for my to-go order and admired the cool wood on the tables. It was a reasonable time before my sandwich was ready and the gentleman who made it carried it out to me in a paper bag. As I left DaCapo, I kept thinking about its very artsy, comfortable and positive vibe. Plus, I enjoyed half of my sandwich once home- excellent quality and delicious. I figured 5am open time and closed almost 1/2 the week - it has to be good to operate on those kind of hours. 15 min from home and opens early enough I can grab them and head back north to work. Reminded me of my youth and going with my Uncle to hang out with the old men at McDonald's. It was nostalgic. One lady working. Very friendly and helpful. Pretty decent donut selection. I ordered two on the side for my husband and I to share. Cinnamon roll with chocolate icing and nuts. That was pretty good. Definitely tasted soft and fresh. I ordered an apple fritter - one of my Dad's faves - and it was good. Way different than Tim Hortons! Tasted fried and was dense but still soft. Had plenty of apple. So good.
