Mushroom 65
Ruben D.

Amma's Kitchen is a hidden gem with seriously good Indian food. It's a little hole-in-the-wall where I walk in, order my go-to Mushroom 65, and then just tell them, "Surprise me." Half the time I don't even know what I'm eating--but it always hits. Every. Single. Time. The staff is super friendly and somehow remembers my usual better than I do. I still think they need to add pictures to the menu--because let's be honest, I'm out here ordering with pure vibes and blind trust. Real talk: I haven't tried any other Indian restaurants... but who cares? I love this place, and that's all that matters. Been reading reviews about the "lack of ambiance" and plastic silverware, and I just gotta say--thank God I'm not bougie. I didn't come here for mood lighting or polished forks--I came here to get my taste buds rocked. I'd eat this food off a paper plate in the parking lot and still leave smiling. As a customer, I genuinely want to give Amma's their props. They're new to the area, and yeah, they're still growing--but the flavor is already elite. The food speaks for itself. Loudly. I can't wait for the buffet. I want to try everything. Like, challenge accepted. Bring stretchy pants. If you're into big flavor, chill vibes, and comfort food that never misses--Amma's Kitchen is where it's at.

They'll take your order to your if you eat in. The soda machine was wonky. It's one of those digital ones and it took two or three tries each time I wanted it to pour. This built up a long line at the soda machine. My wife had the pesto cavatappi and it was pretty good, if a little too creamy and bland. I had the Japanese flat noodles with steak and it was better than average. My kids got the mac and cheese and as you can see in the pic, it's a little under sauced. The menu choices are more interesting than your average fast food place and the product itself is fine. The issue is the price. I'm aware of inflation, but $44 to feed two adults and two 4 year olds is a lot. If the food were stellar or super filling, fine, but it was not. The kids meals were $7 each! I have been to Noodles and Company once or twice before and remember liking it better. I think this place is a few improvements away from 4 stars, but for now, it's just fine. Come for variety and everything else is acceptable.

They have lots of choices which works in their favor. However, they are a little pricey for the amount of food you get. The bowls are relatively small. Overall, kind of mediocre

Tonight was our lucky night as we were seated within minutes of our arrival. QQ Kitchen is very unassuming upon entry. Small sitting area that was filled with people waiting for their take-out orders. The dining area is small and decor is simple. There is one TV monitor and tonight, "Triple D" (Diners, Drive-Ins, Dives) was on. How appropriate, huh? Menu has a lot to offer making it challenging to arrive at a snap decision. Many great choices. We started off with Spring Rolls. Very refreshing taste and the peanut dipping sauce was quite tasty. Our dinner selections: Drunken Noodles; and Pad Thai w Shrimp. Both these dishes were excellent and very fairly priced for the food quality and portion size. A great deal of foot traffic for take-out orders during the entire time we were in the restaurant. Good sign. We had a fantastic meal and we will definitely be back yo visit QQ Kitchen. Well done!

I remember stopping by at one point last year, but the restaurant was not open due to renovations. We arrived by 5:30pm on a Tuesday; not very many people there at all. Not sure when El Patron opened for business, so we figured it must have been somewhat recent. Nicely decorated - nothing too elaborate or upscale, just nicely done. We ordered Chicken Fajitas and a 3 item combo plate (Chicken Chile Relleno, Beef Burrito, and Beef Tamale). Chicken Fajitas was mostly bell peppers and onions, but had a decent flavor. The Tamale had waaaaay too much masa, so it was almost cake-like (not a fan). Salsa was decent as was the Pico de Gallo. Prices weren't too bad considering the portions. Remember me saying one of the reasons we chose El Patron was due to the Foodie Card and the $10 discount after spending $30? Well, by the time we remembered the Foodie Card, our server had already processed the payment. Ugh! All-in-all, a decent Mexican restaurant. Won't be one of my go-to's when we get a craving for some food from South of the border, but we will go back to take advantage of our Foodie Card! Happy eating...
