Donut Kitchen is INCREDIBLE-- the breakfast sandwiches are my favorites, Bacon Egg and Cheese on a Bulkie is my go to and it is tops. I stopped here one Saturday, picked one up and a delicious cup of coffee (New England Brand is Excellent) then ran up to the library to drop off a book, when I came out my dog had eaten my sandwich. My fault-- I saw the look he was giving me when I got out, and I couldn't blame him because it's THAT good. So I shot back over and got another one. I usually grab a donut too while I'm waiting for my sandwich order-- everything is fresh, the bacon is nice and crisp-- this isn't food made in a microwave like DD-- this is grilled food! Besides their fun and unique monthly flavors, the good ones I always find myself going back to are the Boston Creme, Maple Bacon, and Apple Fritter. These are classics that are almost always be on the menu. I'm also pretty sure Rocco's has the best Boston Creme in Boston. Baloney and it was disgusting and and so was the sandwich. Couldn't even eat it. What a rip off. They kept telling me almond milk cost more money. What a joke. I don't feel like I can judge Dixie Donuts based upon its selection because I know you're supposed to get there early and I didn't. The donuts they had left are not typically donuts I would order, but I liked the glazed coconut stick. The donut was fresh and had good inside texture. I liked that the coconut flakes added some contrasting texture, and the flakes also helped cut the sweetness in a way that I liked. One of these days, I'm gonna get there early and get I what I want. That was hands down the best muffin I've ever had.
