Service was friendly, and there were some seating inside as well as some tables in front of the cafe; unfortunately, we just couldn't dine in either option since it just reeked of cigarettes. Usually specialty drinks can be expensive in nice coffee shops like this, but it only came out to a bit over 5 dollars. It was so amazing, sweet without being too sweet, and the perfect ube flavor for someone relatively uninitiated with the purple root. It also came out super quick, I could see them working on it while I finished ordering! The employees are all very kind, one of them complimented my wallet and I love compliments so it just set the tone for a great day. I got a seat by the window. There is plenty of natural light in here and plenty of great vibes. About 7 tables in the main area, a couch, and a big table in a room towards the back. Also, a big mural and lots of plants. Really fun and artsy environment. They were selling t-shits and merch which all looked cool and had nice designs. Once I become a regular here (which I now intend on!) I think I will definitely have to get a shirt or hoodie. I noticed there aren't many reviews yet for here which leads me to believe it is not as popular as it deserves to be. But guys, you gotta come, or you're missing out!

So my suggestion is they get some photos taken or make a few sandwiches wrapped and ready to grab n go. Make one of each and see what sells. I'd use sandwiches as a way to bring in customers who will then purchase a pastry or cookie.. or come back when they need something sweet. sorry, no photos... pastries were gone too fast and they were delicious.

I was told there were no Columbian empanadas (Bodega combo # 2) so that is what led me to order the other. I swear it took the owner 15 - 20 minutes to make both the empanadas and horchata. The empanadas were frozen, not fresh, and placed in an air fryer. The drink made had tons of ice and just as much cinnamon. Personally, there was no balance. I did not enjoy it. The empanada choices: are spinach & artichoke, chicken, and vegetarian. The best was the vegetarian, then the chicken followed by the spinach and artichoke. In my honest opinion, for an $11.50 meal, you would have been better off grabbing a $3 bag of tostinos pizza rolls and coke from the dollar tree and being more filled and satisfied. I was not impressed and I honestly believe that the space has so much more potential to draw in a larger crowd if the food choices were improved.
