Dunkin for a snack. Cashier very helpful with new products and friendly. No issue there. Inside was clean. Not very busy. Overall a nice stop. Wait! A 4 star rating - why? Another place with a forced tip on the credit card machine. Enough with the tipping. A tip cup is fine - asking everyone for tips is annoying. It's not a sit down restaurant- it's a quick stop for a coffee and donut. While there I also watched milk delivery come through the drive through window. I've never had a dry and salty donut before. Not exactly sure what happened but the donuts I got from this location were severely lacking. The donuts felt as if they had been sitting out all night and day. The chocolate frosting was barely there on the donut. They were hard to eat and ended up being thrown away. read more

We order a dozen donuts. 4 were supposed to be powdered donut with chocolate cream filling. Well there wasn't any filling just all bread with powdered on the outside. If I could leave negative stars I would. I placed my order at 0612. I wanted a bagel sandwich and they said they were out of bagels. So I ordered an English muffin sandwich, snackin bacon, and a Mocha coldbrew. When I pulled up to the window and paid for my order, I received my coffee and they told me to park in the front and someone would bring me my order. Then they forgot about me and 20 minutes later when I walked in, my order had been sitting there for 20 minutes. Of course when I got to work and checked out the sandwich my food was ice cold. Never have any donuts, the one I did get(one of 2 they had in the store) the frosting job was horrible and there was almost no frosting on it. They are out of syrup flavors a lot and my coffee is very rarely good. I would recommend going to any other coffee place in the area. Very unhappy with this location. read more

Too inconsistent with their hot lattes. Sometime they have cinnamon powder, and they say no they don't have it. They have cinnamon sugar instead. This last time my large hot latte was a little over half full with foam the rest of the way. I don't have that issue with Starbucks and Panera's though they are a lot further from my house. My wife and I stopped by this location as usual. We grew up in the neighborhood in the 70-80's. We were going to pick up a donut and coffee and we parked as we saw other customers parking to go inside the location. As we were walking toward the front door we noticed people turning around and leaving. The employees where raising their hands up in to the air like "what". As we approached the door there was a very small sign hand written saying lobby closed. Small print, difficult to see. The location was busy in the drive through, however we prefer to see what donuts we would like to select. Needless to say we did not appreciate the reaction of the staff. There appeared to be managers on duty as well. We were visiting my wife's mother and we often visit this location. Sometimes driving in from Boerne just to visit this Dunkin Donuts location. They should use their large lighted sign to notify customers in advance of service changes instead of a crude hand written sign. Will we visit the location again? Yes, it's a favorite. I live outside 1604 off Potranco. I will drive past two corporate Dunkin Donuts to come to this one. It's the only one in town I will go to. You can tell the difference between the independent franchises and the corporate ones because the corporate ones are usually Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins together. Here's why. The other ones are terrible. They get their doughnuts shipped in frozen from a warehouse every morning. So if you work a late shift like me and enjoy a donut and coffee, you're getting the oldest, stalest ones. And chances are they will be out of the kind you want until the next morning. Whereas this one makes all their donuts on-site, so they've never been frozen. Plus they make them - particularly the cake donuts - more like what you'd find in a bakery. Plus they almost always have the kind of donut I want - French crulller - because I guess they must make them throughout the day. However once they did not have a particular variety, but this was late evening. I suppose the donut chef does go home at some point. So that's the big reason. Also - and I'm not sure why this would be - their coffee is consistently good. Even late at night. The other ones always had awful, stale, burnt, too-long-in-the-pot, spit-onto-the-ground bitter wastewater. The others: I've never had a good coffee. Potranco/Hunt came close once. Here? Never had a bad one. Lastly, this one feels more like a little family-owned business. I don't know if it is, but I've been going to this one since 2010 when I moved to San Antonio, and I've seen the same employees there for years. I think I've even spoken to the owner or manager before at the drive thru window. The other ones, the corporate ones that are everywhere, it's whatever teenager of the week you get. The only con for some of the more easily frightened types is that it's not the best neighborhood. Bars on windows, etc. But that's most of core San Antonio before Alamo Ranch, Stone Oak, etc existed. read more

What the actual... I went here the other day to get a simple Mocha Iced Coffee. They gave me some weird green iced drink and charged me about $2 more than I was supposed to be charged. I quickly told them I didn't want the green drink, but instead of quickly fixing it, they made it a whole ordeal. They pressured me to just accept it but obviously it's not what I wanted. I then found out it cost $2 more, I asked for a refund of the difference, and who I can assume was the manager, actually said something like "Really? It's what, like two dollars???" What?! I insisted on a refund of the difference, but instead of giving me a refund to my card, the manager frustratingly took cash out of her own backpocket and pulled out two sticky dollars (lol). Her coworkers looked really shocked, and one of them said even called her out for it. They made me pull around front. The manager brought out my drink and was rude-- I guess their mess up caused a giant inconvenience. The service was garbage and a joke, and even though the coffee was too sweet, it was still really good. Don't go to this location. The manager should be fired. read more
