a half eaten donut in a bag
    Amber D.

If you really didn't want the chocolate on your donuts, this is where to go cuz they make sure your donuts are ruined and the donuts go upside down so the chocolate sticks to the bag not the donuts. Chocolate Donuts go in a box not a bag!!!

However, for my taste this places donuts are slightly on the denser side and lack much flavor in terms of the actual dough (which mostly just tastes like oil rather than a fresh, "bready(?)" flavor). I did not enjoy my usual favorite item at other spots, the jelly donut. The strawberry jam was overly sweet and tasted low quality (mostly like preservatives with the strawberry flavor utterly cooked off). I wish the texture was pillowy and the flavor of the donut itself higher quality (since these donuts are marketed as specialty/gourmet). They shine based on what fancy flavor is put on top. Overall, I may prefer another spot when considering the price and quality.

Wow! Amazing! So good, and so cute!…read more The employee was great. She was so engaging and was helping me pick and choose since this was my first time inside. She was able to describe the selection they had. I opted for The Homer, chocolate sprinkle, glazed yeast, Boston cream and a cider donut. They were all fantastic. The Boston cream one was everyone's favorite. The cider donut was a great cake donut. The Homer was also a cake donut. I prefer a cake donut over yeast. But, the glaze was great. I love the selection between yeast and cake doughnuts! Kiddos! The flavors are really unique. I love the creativity. This really is a great shop!

Crisp and sweet, the Winesaps had a little tartness but still great. We picked up some goards and little pumpkins too. They're priced pretty well and have a good variety. The best pumpkins are picked in the patch, for $2 each. We got some heirloom tomatoes and some cider donuts to take home. The donuts need to be heated up for 20 seconds in the microwave, but they're very good. Why they didn't get 5-stars: The labels could use some work around the orchard. I always find it frustrating when orchards don't label the paths. They give you a map, but it's not very accurate.

The parking lot overflows into the hs parking lot but there's someone directing traffic. They've got portable toilets which were actually clean. They had two food trucks which had an assortment of flatbreads, hotdogs, and fries. Bad seed had a table serving up their own cider and some local cider. The pricing was affordable with a pint for $6. The docs Pumpkin cider was so good. The apple picking was further in and there was signage directing you to the area. They have 3 different sized bags ranging from $25-$42. We opted for the middle size $35 to fill 20-24lbs of apples. The $42 tote was for the same amount of apples but you paid extra money for the tote. If you brought the tote back to reuse you get $1 off next time. They offer these tools to pick the apples that are high up in the trees for $5. They gave us a map and was told there were tractor stops throughout. If our bags got too heavy we can leave it there and they will transport it back for us. Each bag had a ticket stub so we keep one and can pick it up after. This was the first time I saw something like this done for apple picking. We started all the way in the back and they had a ton of apples. The hike up was very steep though but the views were amazing. The shop sold Apple cider donuts which were freshly made. They also sold an assortment of apple cider with the different apple varieties. The honey crisp apple cider was my fav.

Upon arrival each person pays a $10 cover charge that you receive a ticket for use in the country store in the amount of $10, so technically you get your money back as long as you buy something. Honestly the visiting experience was only okay, I am not sure I'd go back or recommend it BUT this is tempered by the fact that I did buy the biggest, prettiest mum and I may go back again for another one next year. I definitely have the nicest mum in all of Jersey City. I think it was around $20 for my huge mum and I was going to buy some apple cider donuts, but when I saw they were charging $18 for 12 donuts I put the package back on the shelf.

Honestly best apple cider donuts I've ever had + freshly baked , not stale at all and very soft and fluffy (but you have to buy it in a dozen, you can't buy individual) Lots of apples to choose from ~5-8 kinds from evercrisp to snapdragon to gold rush. Gold rush & pink lady were my favorite. Atmosphere: Loved for fall! There's was live music, plenty of apples and pumpkins to pick from, plenty of benches and seating indoors and outdoors for eating, and areas for children to play Dogs allowed! Service: friendly everywhere!! Price: cheap for entry, food is $$. You have to pay a $10 fee but it goes towards anything you buy. For apple cider & cider donuts I would say worth the price. Presumably this is because of the proximity to City Of Poughkeepsie, but I see no reason for it. This location has a bit of a confusing situation because you really need to remember which entrance you use so you can get back to your vehicle without having to circle the entire building with an overflowing cart of groceries. They are pros and cons to shopping here. Staff is extremely friendly to the point where you feel like you're at a neighborhood small grocery. But this place is massive with an abundance of imports and unique offerings from around the region. I belong to a farm cooperative, so I don't usually need vegetables. However, in this case, I did shop produce to locate some organic options to serve with the scallops and shrimp. The presentation is wonderful, but the prices are outrageous. Year over year, the same items that I purchased at Adam have increased by at least 30%. Some of that is due to the current geopolitics, but some of it is just plain exorbitant pricing. My purchase: A stop at Seafood to make sure they had 2 pounds of sea scallops approximately $24 per pound- wild caught. And the colossal shrimp more than $20 per pound also wild caught. Next stop a birthday cake - everything looks wonderful and I'm sure that there are items that are not mass produced with lots of fillers, but idea say that they probably use the same cake mixes as the less pricey supermarkets. Regardless, I had no time to bake so I picked up a 6 inch carrot cake - $26. And a fresh fruit tart 9 inch $29. Ouch, one note about the fruit tart is that the strawberries were not hold which makes for very.com cumbersome dining. You serve a lovely piece of fruit tart, and your guest has to dissect the strawberry to take the leaves off. It doesn't look that great and it is not appetizing. A quick stop to pick up organic broccoli. What the heck! Roughly $12 for two bunches of broccoli. I must be out of my mind. It was a birthday and I don't have any broccoli at home so I bit the bullet Over to the cheese counter where you can find exceptional values, and Exceptional imports My pic today was Bulgarian feta cheese, which is not easy to find, a beautiful French Camembert, and a block of Gouda. A loaf of bread, and a quick run to the clearance section at the back of the store where I scored pretty well with about 2 pounds of beautiful grapes for two dollars and a dragon fruit for under two dollars. A 12 pack of Parker General rolls $2.50 a quick run past the pasta department for the Italian produced linguine and onto the cash register. My cart was full and I knew my wallet would be empty soon so I headed home. Shopping at Adams is an experience rather than a chore. Please don't go on an empty stomach because you will soon regret it. You're not gonna find samples here for tasting, but you can ask at the cheese counter if you're not sure about a potential purchase and they will oblige. I do .

This was an incredibly cozy spot for a laidback breakfast after wrapping up with an errand in the area. Aside from another couple, we practically had the place to ourselves. Almost imagine being in a quaint B&B's dining room with 50s Doo-Wop thrown in- well, that's the feel you get here. Service was nice and so was our simple, hit-the-spot breakfast. Between my tasty mushroom+fresh mozzarella omelette and hubs' BEC, we had no issues. As a heads up, these folks don't have iced decaf, what you'll get is hot decaf coffee with decaf coffee cubes. Different for these parts- but hubs drank it. My first Chai I ordered, came with warm milk on the side but when I poured it in my mug, the milk curdled. When I mentioned it to the owner, she said that she drank milk earlier that morning¯\_(ツ)_/¯. In my head I'm like, "did you NOT notice that it was spoiled????" Plus, the small pitcher the original milk was served in, had that milk ring on the inside. Ewww. I hesitated ordering another, but I was somehow convinced to. Needless to say, the 2nd, was safe to drink but I got flashbacks. Price was right and my drink issue was straighten out with a very fresh one.
