I was recommended Tea Talk by two different family members, and it has the best juices and bubble teas I've ever had! I've been twice now, and both times the drinks were incredible. The first time I went, I got a passionfruit blended juice with mango popping bubbles. When I had my first sip, I was so blown away that I had to tell strangers in the parking lot how good it was. The best drink of this kind I have ever, and I mean EVER had. The second time, I got a strawberry milk with strawberry popping bubbles. Also excellent! The staff have been friendly both times, and the atmosphere inside is very cozy and cute. There are puzzles you can do while you wait, the decorations are sweet, and there are many trinkets and goodies that you can buy (all very cute!) Every time I get anywhere near Poughkeepsie, I always think about Tea Talk and how badly I want to go. When I hear that someone is stopping by, I ask if they're planning on going to Tea Talk! Tea Talk has been a steady reliable place for a specialty BUBBLE ( Boba) tea, hot tea, or other frozen beverages. My daughter enjoys their concoctions, which I find overly sweet, but I always find something that is satisfying. On this particular visit, it was pretty hot and we were shopping at Marshalls nearby. No one online so we popped in. They're losing stars because it takes so long to get a beverage. I understand that they have a lot of different options and recipes but it really does take a long time. If you only have a few minutes, your best to move on somewhere else. Expect it to be about a 10 to 15 minute wait Ambience: That being said, I appreciate the retail side of the shop with loose tees, T-shirts, etc. You'll have to dig pretty deep into your wallet for a stop here and not everything is homemade, but it will be fresh. It's a solid 3 1/2 to 4 stars. It's purpose built and there's a small seating area if you want to take a load off your feet after shopping. The downside here is parking. This mall is always packed so you will have to walk to get to the shop. read more

With that said, I have to fight myself to not go to Tea Talk every time I'm nearby, which is a lot because I work close. The shop is very cute, with a very nice variety of tea and tea related merchandise. If you have a tea lover in your life, be sure to check out their shop. I've gotten some really cute gifts for friends from here. The owner's personality really comes through in the merchandise she hand picks to display and sell. They use quality tea leaves, and take care in brewing their tea. I haven't tried their entire collection, but I've had a ton of their drinks over the years, and I haven't been disappointed yet. They have great seasonal concoctions! They also customize their drinks to accommodate to whatever weird combination you might be craving. They have some seating, so you can definitely come sit and take a break from shopping, or meet up to catch up with friends here. The staff is always great, and the owner is amazing. What an awesome shop! The environment is very zen feeling from the outside the shop and inside is very calm and relaxing with. Traditional tea sets, tea cups/mugs, travel mugs and a large selection of loose leaf teas adorn the shelves and counters as well as a decent selection of custom blended boba cha selections. Amazing authentic tea spot in a great location. They have endless selections of tea options, flavors, pearl pops, jellies, and milk versus non milk options. They also have some pre-concocted menu items such as Thai iced tea (delicious) or Brown Sugar Boba, I tried it and it was too sweet for me but it's a huge hit (I almost always see someone walk out with it when I'm there)! There's usually a long line here but the teas come out fairly quickly. There's only one small table in the corner if you'd prefer to drink in so it's more of a grab and go spot, however the walls are lined with beautiful tea sets for sale as well as cute trinket items like stuffed animal bobas! It was good but too sweet for me. The shop is small and obscure. It was only because of a sign we figured out that they sold boba tea otherwise it looks like a ceramic shop specializing in tea service. If you are a tea lover, give this place a shot. read more

We went here this afternoon at the insistence of my boyfriend's younger sister who is a huge bubble tea fan. I also love bubble tea, so I was delighted to find this small but venerable tea shop hidden away in an ordinary and quite dreary strip mall off of Route 9 in Poughkeepsie. Don't be fooled by the plain surroundings - the interior of this cafe was warm and welcoming, with everything to make a tea geek like me open their wallet and buy everything in sight! From canisters of teas from Harney and Sons (my all time favorite tea brand made about an hour away from this shop) to creative and quirky teacups with everything on them from cats to bunnies, you'll find something to satisfy your inner tea nerd. And that's before you even step up to the counter to order! The breadth of teas Tea Talk offers is dizzying, not to mention the several flavors of popping bubbles and syrups to enhance a black or green tea base. Try one of their creative concoctions, with drinks named after popular Disney, anime, and Pokemon characters, or make your own a la carte with your choice of tea, fruit syrup, and bubbles. My boyfriend's sister got a tasty tea that was orange flavored with green kiwi bubbles. It photographed much better than my bland looking Peach Bellini iced tea, which was surprisingly packed with flavor for an unsweetened tea. I also ended up getting a hot Rose tea as well since the comforting surroundings of the ample seating led us to sit down and stay awhile. Tea Talk also has a couple of baked goods for sale like cookies and biscotti for you to nibble during teatime, and freezer full of fresh made ice creams in intriguing flavors like Apricot Cream. Yum! Tea Talk rivals bubble tea places in NYC. Two friends and I came when we were craving bubble tea. There are other places in the area, but I don't believe any are like this. Tea Talk offers milk tea, fruit tea, different bases, over 30 flavors, and around 15 choices for boba. Also, smoothies and specialty drinks (like matcha lemonade)! They also have special bubble tea offerings like Pokemon themed ones. They're also really accommodating with requests. I ordered matcha milk tea with original boba and asked for it to be made with less sugar and almond milk. Done! Came to $4, which is cheaper than I expected. It was delicious and a great portion. It took me a few minutes to decide, but that's expected with so many options. My friend ordered a cappuccino bubble tea (also less sugar and almond milk) and she let me have a taste-- also delicious. Definitely going for that one next time. Tea Talk also offers food (crepes!) and tea and tea supplies to buy, which is awesome. I'll usually just stop by for a drink, but it's a cool option. Loved this place. They have a lot of loose tea that's sold by the ounce, the majority of it cost $4 per once. I didn't know it but apparently 1 oz of lose tea is plenty. I am new to the tea world so today I bought some tea mostly to sample. I want to know what I like and what I don't like. They also sell tea in satchels, in the thins. I didn't pay attention but I believe all the loose teas are Harney and Sons. I might be wrong. You can find a lot of tea accessories and very little samples (that you pay for) I think I payed 75 cents for each( 1 satchel of tea). Today they had this pumpkin chai bubble tea. O. M. G. !!!
