A small little shop with delectable Macarons! It was clean, and well put together. The female employee was so helpful in helping me pick out flavors. There are various flavors, and beverages inside. There is also a cute wall display of greenery, sunflowers and a cute inspirational eon sign. Since I was wondering around the area and just finished lunch across the street, I I also got the peach, fruity cereal, vanilla, pumpkin, and cotton candy. Cotton Candy was amazing! Two thumbs up! We stopped in because the kids have been raving about this place. After we picked out what we wanted, we sat ourselves right down for a taste. Hands down winner for me was the raspberry cheesecake macaron. It was so delicate and full of flavor. Hubby liked the pistachio ones he picked out but he is not on board the macaron train. I think he was kinda disappointed so we had to go next door for ice cream...but that's a separate review. Thank you, Yelp, for spotlighting Amanda's - I hadn't heard of it and had the delight of surprising my macaron-loving hubby with a trip here! The macarons are good but what really surprised me was how great the cupcakes are, given that they're gluten-free. Good chocolate and then you get a fun taste of a macaron inside! Some macaron flavors are too subtle (talking about you, pistachio), but some are fantastic, like the chocolate cream inside the chocolate one. I could swear I really was eating an orangecicle or a brown sugar poptart. A very clean and beautiful designed place, have say it's pretty cozy place with simple yet awesome menu. The lady behind the counter was a such a sweetheart, very polite and funny. So I got very strawberry bubble tea, not only was incredibly refreshing and not overly sweet, it was well worth the price. For example a large size is gigantic as opposed to places were it's just a sightly taller cup. Now for macaroons all of them were delicious, plus I like they have usual flavors like ube, plum,apple cider doughnut and brown butter sweet corn. Not my first time coming to Amanda's and certainly not my last. Amandas is located in the very cute village of Eastdale where there's lots of shopping, outdoor seating, and outdoor games to play. When I go there I get the make your own bubble tea. There are lots of options so you can choose between both fruit teas and milk teas. Then you can choose what to get in your tea including Boba, tapioca, fruit jellies, and other options. They also sell macaroons there however they have milk in them and because I don't eat any dairy I am unable to have them. They look super delicious so I wish I could but I see that they've been testing on making some dairy free options. Hopefully they'll be released soon! read more

I literally drove an hour to visit this place in hopes and possibly dreaming that the shops speciality being macarons they had to be good. Upon arrival I even asked to eat a macaron on the spot before I purchased more. My tasting on site was to decide do I want only 6 bland tasting macarons or 60 amazing macarons. To my absolute DELIGHT the macarons were orgasmic in my mouth. I only hope Amanda doesn't share her in store camera footage online because the result would be a live viewing of a mouth orgasm as my eyes visually showed the pleasure in each bite I took. Simply mouth watering in every bite!! Pricing is inline with the average cost of a macaron which might be expensive to some consumers but it's so worth the price of admission when they are crafted with the expert pastry skills Amanda has. These tasty treats are always expensive because of the extensive work involved in making these. The process is intricate and it takes a special kind of pastry chef to make these truly mouth watering!! Thank you Amanda and team for bringing these amazingly perfectly crafted treats to our area. If you decided to open shop in Manhattan Macaron cafe would and should shake in their boots because competition would be fierce!! This little shop is cute and is in a really nice location. The macaroons are delicious. They are 3$ a piece. We paid 12$ for 4 macaroons and one matcha boba tea for 5$. The tea was pretty watery. The girl working the counter wasn't friendly or helpful. Just kind of blandly asked what we wanted and sent us on our way. The obvious- the macarons are delicious! We were gifted a box via mail prior to the store opening and we really enjoyed the mix of flavors. Pretty perfectly baked. Definitely pricey but lovely as a gift. We just stopped by on a nice day this week to the store in East Dale village for some bubble teas. I will preface this by saying I'm a bit of a bubble tea aficionado- so I'm a harsh critic but the teas fell flat. My taro milk tea tasted super watered down. My husbands matchata tea was a lot more flavorful but overly sweetened. We loved sitting outside and the shop is super cute but probably wouldn't try the teas again. The most delicious Macarons!! I have been here with my daughter before and recently she did an assignment in school of "favorite food memory", and she chose our visit here. Tea was great, macaroons could have been better. Picked up an uber eats order for tea and macaroons, site wouldn't allow me to pick the flavors, so I hoped when I got to store I can pick the flavors I wanted, 12 macaroons for 36.80... so I asked the counter person can I pick the flavors I want, was told that it's(order) done and she put two flavors of each, and I wasn't given the option of fixing it, instead giving me a card of the flavors the store had and I pretty much had to figure it out. Store wasn't busy, and she could have been more accommodating, for that price they cost and portion size of the macaroons is lacking, she could have been more nicer. Flavors she gave me were nasty. Tea was great. But the sourness of the counter person and macaroons being horrible.... Will be a long time before I go to this establishment again. read more

i originally had a 5 star review for this place until tonight (8/29/24 at 7:00pm) , one of the employees was so rude and it was such a horrible experience i wanted to walk out. First she was super short and had an attitude while taking our order. I love Macarons and have been wanting to try this bakery for a while now. I'm so glad I was able to get there this past weekend! It was my first, but certainly not last, visit to Eastdale Village. I was able to find parking quite easily and walk right around the corner to Amanda's Macaroon Shoppe. The shop itself is small and with a few parties ahead of me and a few parties who came in after me, having one register/counter person was the only disadvantage. The shop itself smells lovely, though not like a "traditional" bakery. The bathroom was incredibly clean. I decided to get a 12 pack plus oversize macaron. The flavor selection is varied and interesting, from fruit flavors to savory additions and chocolate varieties. The rose lychee (you must like rosewater); lemon basil (more lemony than basil-y); Coconut mojito (my favorite); and Italian rainbow cookie (including jam!) were among my favorites. Traditional Chocolate and strawberry were fudgy and fruity respectively. My son got cotton candy (pink and blue swirled, I think that was the flavor) and he loved it. I took a bite and it tasted exactly the way I thought it would. All of the flavors came through nicely in each cookie without tasting artificial. None of the cookies were bad, some flavors were just more exciting than others but all were beautiful and delicious. I got an oversize chocolate dulce de leche, which was good but not outstanding. Overall really delicious and I look forward to going back and trying more flavors and a bubble tea. For anyone complaining about cost, three dollars per macaron is pretty standard for any place I've ever gotten them, especially in the current market. Also, they are best same-day, and still tasty the following day. Within 48 hours when stored in the box with the plastic over them, they are noticeably less fresh. read more

I went her today and got the "Very Strawbery-y" (or something alongside those lines) and my first ever macaron! The boba tea has *never* disappointed and was delicious as always. I'll have to stick with Jason B's review of being way over priced. If your only gonna sell Macaron's rent a cheaper store front. Especially one with better parking! I moved away from Los Angeles and the Beverly Hills prices to live somewhere more affordable. Looks like the rich people followed me up hear to Poughkeepsie. A Macron is a Macron even with the best ingredients I don't see supporting a whole staff and a store front just selling them even if they are packaged in over priced recyclable Foo Foo packages. Plus at these prices I could at least get a paper receipt for my tax man. Now I have to have a receipt emailed to me and print it myself and I didn't get a discount for saving in paper to print it myself! Don't go to this place on a Monday b cause the neighbor stores are closed on Mondays and if you wanted a Coffee or Ice Cream with your Macrons you are out of luck. Probably won't be back unless I get a coupon in my email or get a 25% discount if I buy a dozen and you can keep the fancy wrapping and give me a plain brown paper bag like my grand father carried his Diamonds in. read more

TL;DR - Disgustingly overpriced but insanely good. These macarons are hands-down the best I've ever had. The flavors are wonderfully unique and the texture is just divine. I got a sampler box to try out an array of flavors and none of them disappointed! Truly a wonderful experience. My huge (and only) gripe is the price. These things are WAY too small to retail for $2.95 EACH. They're about the size of an Oreo. That's insulting. The supposed "deal" with the 6-Pack is also laughable. You save $0.70 buying six as opposed to six additional. Why even offer a discount like this if it's so small? Again, insulting. The box they come in is incredibly wasteful. It's very thick cardboard. Thicker cardboard than the box my iPhone came in. It's going in the trash after I consume my six bite-sized treats. But maybe I can give it a second life. It's a real shame. This is not the way. I will most definitely be back here because they're addictingly delicious, but I won't be happy about my bill because the value just isn't there :( read more

This is one of my favorite places in Poughkeepsie. There is unique drinks that are perfectly sweetened, fun boba topping options, and yummy macarons. I got the Matchata that was super yummy with horchata and coconut creamer and coconut jellies. The only critique would be that I wish the matcha flavor was stronger.
