The Blizzard tasted pretty good. It wasn't served properly though, as I seem to recall they're supposed to hand it to me upside down. Try it for yourself! I've tried other places and their spin on the Dubai craze, I have yet to find a location in Richmond that comes close to the quality this place put out, also the price was just right (I'm all about quality and product, not down to keep paying for over priced hype, for me this price and product was comparable to one another). Moving on, they have a variety of great flavors, the owner Helen and her mother very sweet and helpful. We've ordered cakes to just enjoying a treat. Family friendly location, these women were able to answer all our questions from cakes to flavors, I appreciate their patience and acknowledgement of me and my family, it's a delight for employees to interact with my kiddos and help them learn to order (of course with the respect of the high foot traffic, which I understand they they cannot always have a lengthy convo), my little one enjoyed asking for samples and placing her order (Thank you for that). Love that they have books for kids to read and, I believe my kids were able to take a book with us home which was very nice. Kiddos to this location!

It was our first time but the attendant was so warm and had great customer service, I wish I got her name so I could give her a shoutout! Our kids lemonade also is really delicious, he said it tasted like heaven in his mouth! Hope to check out their other locations closer to home!

I've stopped at Seven Brew locations across multiple states over the years, and one of the reasons…read moreI keep coming back is that they usually combine good coffee with genuinely energetic customer service. This visit started that way. I stopped at the Ashland location on a hot Thursday afternoon while making the drive back to North Carolina. The employee taking my order was friendly, helped me navigate the menu, and talked me into trying something a little different with caramel, hazelnut, and an extra shot. The drink ended up a little sweeter than I expected, but it was perfectly drinkable and got the job done for the drive home. The frustration came afterward. I was in the outside lane with only one vehicle ahead of me. While waiting, I watched what appeared to be my completed coffee get placed on the outside counter. The vehicle ahead seemed to have a larger order, so I understood waiting while they finished serving that customer. What I didn't expect was what happened next. After the vehicle ahead left, I pulled forward expecting to receive the coffee that had already been sitting there for several minutes. Instead, the employee who had placed it on the counter was gone, and nobody was at the pickup point. So there I sat, staring at my coffee. Again. Meanwhile, an employee who appeared to be covering the outside lane kept heading toward the counter and then turning back toward the building, seemingly caught up in a conversation inside. Maybe there was something important going on. Maybe there wasn't. As a customer, all I knew was that my drink was ready, I was at the front of the line, and nobody seemed particularly interested in handing it to me. The wait itself wasn't what cost this location stars. The lack of urgency and communication did. A simple "We'll be right with you" or "Sorry for the delay" would have changed the entire experience. I'll absolutely stop at Seven Brew again. The brand has earned that through plenty of positive visits elsewhere. But if I'm passing through Ashland in the future, I'll probably keep driving.

We got a pain suisse and two coffees. She was shocked by the high prices. I'm fine with that when the experience matches. Sadly, neither of us liked our coffees at all and literally threw them out after a few sips. They only had Stevia (vs Splenda, Equal or others), which may be what skewed the flavor for me. The pasty was good, nice and flaky. I find the staff to not be overly friendly. They had a steady line, so clearly a lot of people love this place and I have had some stellar desserts. But if I can't get a good cup of coffee, sit in a cute area (they have no inside space), I will choose another spot.
