This review has nothing to do with the quality of the food! To say the least I live for Dunkin, especially those blueberry munchkins my friend and I discovered on Friday, August 11th. This review is on the terrible drive thru service I experienced. I shall explain. On Friday night my friend and I decided to meander to Dunkin Donuts! We had heard about their delicious blueberry munchkins and had been salivating them for weeks. Once we got to the drive thru I placed our order and I saw that they had cappuccino blasts (yum)! They clearly stated the sizes, MINI, small, medium and large. I asked for a mini blast to accompany my munchkin. I was told that they do not have a MINI size. I asked how that was possible if it is CLEARLY stated on the menu. Hmm, Strike 1 for DD! I decided to go for a dunkin iced coffee instead (size small because at this point I had no choice). I I get to the window and the lady hands me my munckins, but where is my iced coffee? She said to pull up to the lot and she will deliver it to me. As my friend and I are enjoying and finishing our munchkins, my coffee still hasn't been delivered. Strike 2 for DD! What do I do next? I drive up to the drive thru window and a young man asks me what I need. As I am explaining he walks away and leaves me with my unfinished complaint. Strike 3 for DD. As I am sitting in my car, ignored for 3 additional minutes, I decide to call the location and tell them I am waiting in my car in front of the drive thru waiting for my iced coffee that I ordered over 10 minutes ago. I get told that the machine had been down and she will bring me my coffee right away. YAY finally! What do I get instead? AN ICE CREAM! Strike 4 for DD. OKAY, seriously how does iced coffee translate to ice cream. To make an already long story short, I eventually got my iced coffee but no apology no, "This one is on us!", nothing! Very disappointed in their drive thru service and even though I will return again because like I said, Live, Love, Dunkin, I'll make sure to step out of my car and personally place my order face to face with a Dunkin employee! read more

This is written with the understanding that the staff is newish due to recently opening. That being said I often frequent the Camp Pendleton Dunkin which runs pretty smoothly. I ordered a single medium coffee with cream and sugar. After about ten minutes of waiting and staring at the pick up area I noticed most workers milling about and chatting; nobody following up with customer orders. A worker on his break got more attention at the front than the customers waiting for their order. They really need to learn that perception is key when it comes to outstanding customer service. I really hope this place hires better help. The managers seem more focused doing a poor job corralling these kids than getting coffee to their customers. The place wasn't even busy. I'd not bother if there was more than three customers at once. Update 9 months later: Still garbage service and taste. Don't bother. I apologized to my taste buds. read more

It's nice to have 1 closer to my work but I don't really get all the hype. I'm also from the East coast so we've had them all my life. It's a donut and the coffee is o.k. I do like their reward card but you'll need to eat a lot to be able to earn anything. I've done drive through a couple of times and service is ok. Depending on who's working, some are friendly than others. I loved the seasonal pumpkin munchkins but this location doesn't let you pick how many you want. They sell it by 5 or 12 or something else. I just know in Irvine, I could pick how many I wanted. Other than that, I don't eat much donuts. But if I have a coupon, I may stop by. read more

I was all excited to go in for a fav of mine; the chicken salad croissant sandwich. Only to find they don't have that at this location. So I ordered a Texas toast grilled cheese sandwich. Waited for a few minutes. A girl asked if I was the one waiting on the Texas Toast grilled cheese... Ummmm. Considering I'm the only one here, guess! Well, we are out of the Texas bread. Pick something else. -EYE ROLL- OK, so I scan the menu...chicken biscuit? Huh? What's that?? We don't have biscuits! Order something we have! I point to the board...right there, Einstein. OH! They illegally charge sales tax on ice cream to go. I confronted them, and they said, "That is the only button we have on the register, the donuts have the tax included." Corrupt, I have receipts from other 31 flavors, and it is illegal to charge tax, when they don't owe tax on an item. 31 flavors need to monitor their franchises better! I reaaally want to give a good rating but I've been here twice with two super easy orders and both times they messed up on coffee and donut orders. I'm still giving three stars because I like the taste and quality but we gotta work on getting simple orders right guys!! One time I came through the drive through and they got my order wrong but gave me the wrong coffee for free- which was good customer service. This last time I asked for a small hazelnut without cream or sugar and I got a hazelnut with cream AND sugar Not a huge deal- however, the cup is super thin and the lid is very flimsy and thin- thus leading to spilled coffee while walking to my car. I didn't notice any cup jackets sitting out or any regular sugar either. The staff was very nice just not really on top of matters for a very quiet Tuesday morning. read more

Never coming back. It is apparent whatever individual that owns this franchise does not care about there investment. This morning there was no blue shirt manager to be seen or the owner of the place. You would think being as new as this place is that the individuals vested in this franchise would be there ensuring everything is going smooth. Not the case. First thing I notice is trashed stacked high at 6 30 in the morning right next to the order station in the drive through. (Poor management) Then I ask for my regular order and the only reason I love coming here - dark roast ice coffee and a chicken bacon sandwich. But way they are out of chicken... I have dealt with this from Dunkin before so I'm ok I'll take a maple bar- sorry we are out of maple bars too. 630 in the morning and your already running out of food (poor management) So then I pull to the window and get charged on my app for a 7.32 for a coffee and donut? "Oops wrong order" and the whole time the cashier is holding my donut in her hand with no bag or paper around it or anything.. just chilling in her hand as she handles money and everything else and then goes "it's fresh, do you just want it or do you want it in a bag?" Of course let me just drive around with a donut in my hand that sounds great, of course I want a bag. Then comes the coffee, I start to take off in the car and take a sip only to find that it doesn't even takes like coffee but rather THEE most disgusting thing I have ever drank and have to spit it out, I go inside and the cashier is actually brave enough to try "thinking I don't know what dark roast taste like" and she spits it out too! Followed up by letting me know they have done this to her too and they claim it's normal. She proceeds to try and make me a new coffee - original roast which was still horrible. Not wanting to be late to work I toss the coffee and leave with just a cold donut. They are either not cleaning the machines- or have bad ice or something cause it was God awful. Looking at everyone else's reviews I can see I am not alone. And who ever owns this place isn't even following up with yelp reviews. My husband and I were on a bike ride on Sunday at 8:30am and stopped for a donut snack. My husband was in line for 15 minutes before giving up. The several other people followed him out. They only had two people working...one worked the drive through and one the donut line. But each one had to do everything including make the drinks. Maybe the person who's supposed to do the drinks called in sick, but it was not a good experience. read more

Sooooo funny story. Went through the drive thru to order donuts. When we got to the window they just kept handing us random bags of donuts. Each time we would say that's not our order they would just grab another bag and try again. Went here this morning to check it out and grab some donuts for my office. My Coffee was hot and the donuts were good, but I also ordered a bagel toasted with cream cheese. The bagel was burnt on all the edges but the center was still like it had never been toasted. On a better note I went through the drive through and had about 10 cars ahead of me and it only took about 10 minutes to get through the line. Not the end of the world ill probably give them another chance here soon once everything gets normalized by the staff. read more

This particular Dunkin' Donuts also has a Baskin Robbins in it but there's a separate listing for that so I'm not going to talk about it. The door on the left has a Baskin' Robbins spoon on it and the door on the right has a "D" on it. But the entire place is connected, so one doesn't need to walk in through the door for the specific purchase one wants. In fact, I think I walked in through the Baskin Robbins door when I didn't buy anything from that side, heh heh heh. There was no line so it came out immediately, and didn't have any issues. (It was only coffee anyway and it's not like I can really taste the difference if there were any mistakes.) Turns out there's a coupon in the Shop and Dine Lake Forest booklet for this place. I used to love going to DD when I'd spend time on the East coast as a child. As an adult here in CA, I would occasionally drive to Camp Pendleton to get my fix, until Santa Monica opened, and then I went there a few times until this one and the other local ones (Irvine and Laguna Niguel) opened. My first complaint is about the quality of the food at DD in general. The donuts are absolutely different now, and not in a good way. They taste/feel like a grocery store cake donut and on average they're nowhere near as good as some of the specialty places that have opened in the last couple of years. The amount of food coloring in some of them is disgusting (if you make plain donuts with a sloppy blob of blue or green frosted donuts for promotional reasons and they are the only ones you have left, take a hint and stop making them. No one wants to have a hideous mouth and stained fingers from eating an entire bottle of dye per donut. The second complaint is about the service at this location. I came here three times before work and was late every single time because the people working here are either so slow that they need a less demanding job or they need to go through training a few more times before they're trusted to actually perform the job. They also CHARGE for almond milk on a comped drink, so when you get a reward my drink isn't free, rather it's 48 cents. Why don't you take a peek at Google's results for "dairy farm cruelty" and tell me why the consumption of cow's milk should be mainstream and accommodated, but almond milk can't conform and must be considered extra or special. Ridiculous and nonsensical. They have almost nothing vegan on the menu. They had more bagel options before and they were vegan, but they only have a couple of varieties now. They also announced and then discontinued the pretzel roll, which was disappointing. I drive all over the place to find good vegan donuts and will pay $5 for one, no problem. DD could really capitalize on that by developing a vegan dough (not hard) and making the topping change daily. Whole Foods only has a few flavors of vegan donuts (all the same donut but with different frostings that don't taste like what they say) and they are terrible. Portola Coffee at the District has a few vegan donuts a day, and from what I've tried they are hit-or-miss. GoodTown is in Santa Ana, and every other place is further than that. Also, the app is always missing information. I've tweeted errors to DD and they've sent the typical "oh no! We'd like to make this better" type of reply, but I've seen the same errors many times since then, so clearly their app developer is sleeping on the job just like the franchise employees appear to be... read more

For Coffee I would give Dunkin Donuts 4.5 stars. For donuts (part of its name) I would give them a 1.5 starts. The donuts really suck. The donuts mix taste like it's been frozen and stored loosing it taste and the cooked. Your better of pick up donuts at a small shop were the donuts are cooked early every morning fresh. I would like to say that the workers are very friendly and are very helpful. They are very kind and provide information if asked. For example, I asked two people who go by the name of Samantha and Jaden and they provided the information for applying to Dunkin Donuts. Also, to those that complain it's a drive-thru jeez not your local mom and pop donut stop. When you want a job you want colleagues that are helpful to you and friendly. For a large corporate chain you will not necessarily expect the staff to be very amicable. But, to me that really matters and then yeah obviously donuts and coffee. On Thursday, September 28th I went to this location to purchase two coffee travelers. When we ordered, we were told 10 minutes. In that time a couple of cars were serviced through the drive through window. I noticed that coffee was a part of each order. After 10 minutes I inquired about my order and was told another 10 minutes. During that time several more people were serviced via the counter and the the drive through. Again, coffee was a part of several orders. After 20 minutes, I inquired about my coffee order and was told another 10 minutes. I complained that my order was taking too long because they kept giving each new customer coffee that was made for my order. After nearly 40 minutes I received my $37 dollar coffee order.
