I just found out about Dunkin' Donuts Reward Program "Dunkin' Extras" where Dunkin's rewards purchases at retailers such as Walmart, Target, etc. for Dunkin Donuts products. After signing up and uploading my very FIRST receipt, I was rewarded with a $5 Dunkin' Donuts Promo Card to use for any purchase at a Dunkin' Donuts restaurant! Plus, being a regular Dunkin' Rewards member, my account is currently loaded with a coupon to redeem any Iced or Hot Drink for only $2 until 12/3!! So what did I do? Used that $2 off of my promo card to enjoy a Cocoa Mocha Signature Latte!! This was my first time trying a Latte, although I'm pretty fond of Mocha Coffee, I figured this might me good, too! I wish it came with more sugar, but after checking my order, I see that I forgot to add some in lol no biggie because I just added some from home! Adding it made it taste more like a hot chocolate! I am continuously let down by their service. Not only have my drinks and food been made incorrectly, they are slow, they are disorganized and overall just don't seem like they know what they are doing. One time, I ordered an iced blueberry latte and asked for it to have extra blueberry flavoring and extra sweet. They gave me an iced coffee with a hint of blueberry flavor and it seemed like no sweetness. Another day, I asked for an everything bagel, toasted with cream cheese, the bagel was hardly warm and then the cream cheese only ended up being on ONE side of the bagel. It's like they were rationing the cream cheese. At that same visit, they didn't even give me my drink either. I had to remind them that I even ordered a drink and when I reminded them they tried to give me someone else's order! Overall I would NOT go back and if someone from management ever reads these, I hope you retrain all of your employees. If you're looking for a donut/coffee place, do NOT come to this Dunkin. I thought my morning was going to be a disaster, but thanks to Shane it actually turned out okay. I had planned ahead to bring coffee and donuts to my workplace event, so the day before I called around to find the best deal. Dunkin' at Foothill Ranch gave me the best price, so I called around 1:30 PM to ask about placing an order for 8 dozen donuts and 6 boxes of coffee. The person on the phone told me I didn't need to pre-order and could just walk in the next morning since they always have plenty. Fast forward to 6:30 AM, I walked in and the store is clearly busy. Only two employees were working, one on drive-thru and one running around handling orders. After waiting just a few minutes, Shane took my order. Understandably, he was frustrated when I asked for 8 dozen donuts and 6 coffee boxes, saying orders like that should be pre-ordered. I explained what I was told on the phone, and while he was clearly under pressure with the long line and multiple customers waiting, Shane handled it professionally. He wasn't rude, just straightforward, and to my surprise he went ahead and filled my order. It took some time but still fast enough that I made it to my event with everything I needed. By the end, Shane even managed to give great customer service despite the stress. So, 5 stars for Shane's effort and attitude under pressure, but 3 stars overall because the person who answered my call the day before gave me the wrong information. This could have easily been avoided if I'd been told to pre-order. All in all, it worked out, and my coffee and donuts event at my apartment complex was a success. read more

Drive thru really sucks. AVOID ALL DRIVE THRU. Placed a mobile order in advance only to be stuck in a line that wouldn't move. Not complaining about the line but their process in expediting orders efficiently. You NEED to have the car that's stuck waiting on an order wait elsewhere near the store or a designated parking spot so the rest of the cars can pick up, place an order and have the long line of cars moving. I previously wrote a very kind review regarding the cake decoration at the attached Baskin Robbins. I still stand by that review and the well-decorated cake I received. However, there has been trouble brewing at the Dunkin'. Ever since the change in management, this particular location has gone down the drain; and, rather than draining to the ocean, it has lodged itself down there to the detriment of those poor souls who stumble in here. First of all, the location is monumentally understaffed. Once upon a time, you could walk in and see many people, even at closing, eager and willing to help. This remained the case even AFTER the "$20 minimum wage increase"; the under-staffing began in the past few months, after these new managers arrived. Are these managers' paychecks draining the fund so badly that they can only keep TWO OR THREE PEOPLE WORKING? Who knows! It certainly feels that way, as I only saw these changes in staffing/quality AFTER I began seeing a few new faces in leadership. Secondly, the training seems to have gotten worse. Twice, I went in for a Frozen Chocolate, a blended ice drink meant to be smooth on the mouth and pleasing to the taste buds. Twice, I found myself at the bottom of the cup with MASSIVE ice cubes greeting me -- uncrunchable, unchewable, unloveable. A problem with a simple solution, one thinks: blend it for longer, or with a different blade. And yet, despite the obvious size of the ice cubes at the bottom, the drink was poured. Were these hailstones not felt? Did no one hear as they landed with a hard thunk at the bottom of my cup, to be found only long after I made my escape? I felt like Rose, sitting on top of a frozen sea, watching my Jack (my blended Frozen Chocolate drink) sink down to the icy depths. In summary. Do not go to this location. Avoid it at all costs. If you're from the East Coast, there are better Dunkins' elsewhere in this city. And finally: a thank you to the few workers I have seen who have been trying their best and still coming with a smile. I hope they find a better place to work, just as I hope I find a better place to get my frozen drinks. read more

Terrible service and customer service. The employees are just lost in this store. Read the other comments; they love to ignore you and keep you waiting with zero acknowledgment. We ordered on screen near the front door and had to wait a long time for a simple donut to be dropped in the bag. Apparently we were invisible. One girl was going in circles washing something and then going in circles again. They didn't even know the order was already submitted and paid for. I became fed up, so I said something; otherwise, we would've been waiting there until Christmas, just for a donut to be dropped in a bag that took two seconds. Favorite place to get my vanilla latte. The drive thru is always a breeze to go through and the staff are very friendly and polite. On those rare days where the service might be a little slow and that is just due to the large volume of customers, the staff are always acknowledging and apologizing for the wait time. My review is only based on my experience- My nephew and I went on Sunday morning to get a few doughnuts to eat there. We were told by a lady working there that they are busy and I should I should l place my order on the kiosk . After placing our doughnut order on the kiosk it took approximately 8 mins to fill our order which wasn't too bad considering they were filling breakfast and drive through and Door Dash orders as well . I had ordered 5 doughnuts- and because they had made a few doughnuts smaller then normal the lady gave me an extra doughnut to make a 1/2 dozen as well which was really nice of her as they were the Bavarian cream filled ( they were pretty small ). Two were sprinkle doughnuts and others were filled - they were filled enough . All were very fresh doughnuts. Price for 1/2 dozen $10.00 not bad these days as everything cost so much anymore . Bathroom was clean and water in sink was working and soap in dispenser. CS was nice to us but I did over hear her tell a customer to put please back up and don't wait for his order by the counter - she told him to go sit in or wait in the lobby area that he was blocking the counter for other customers. Was it true - yes but she was a little rude the way she said it to the man who was standing there by himself . Whenever a customer leaves who they didn't like they will talk about them openly for other customers to hear. One time it was a manager telling another employee that some employee got a Dr note to be out of work and they were talking about how you can find a doctor to write you anything. Very unprofessional. This is my regular Dunkin that I like to buy iced coffees at after a visit to the gym. This time, I sat outside and ordered their Bacon, Egg, & Cheese sandwich with sourdough bread. The cheese needed to be melted, but otherwise, it was genuinely a good sandwich. And my iced coffee was refreshing like usual. Like most fast food places, expect a wait more often then not if you are in the drive thru. And make sure to check your order before driving off. The staff here will fix whatever they missed. I literally just left out of this establishment not even five minutes ago and it's sad that establishments don't have customer service, interpersonal skills and act like they really want your business. I walked in there and there were four employees working. No one greeted me or acknowledge me for over five minutes and even had one of them stared me in my eyes and walked away. Then when I was finally acknowledged, the individual that's a woman (presumably to be the manager) had an attitude because I told her I had a question before I purchase something. I always tell people, you never know who you're speaking to and how one action can affect the outcome. This is our closest location, and we always have good service. We have great service, but that's when what we call the "A Team" is working. Coffee and food are always very good. Friendly service. Eating area tends to be messy every time we sit to eat, like tables dirty and floor needs sweeping, but it's not that bad. They have had one "broken" entry door for over a month now. Its gone DOWN HILL in the past few months. On several occasions I've had to wait 20+ mins for a simple latte. Management seems to only staff 3 employees to run the whole business - both drive thru, pick up and the 31 flavors side. The new manager SHANE has advised employees to say this is due to the new CA law where workers are paid $20 per hour. That is the most absurd excuse for poor management I've ever heard. Starbucks down the street has at least 10-12 people working at a time and their drive thru time is excellent. Tell me if you agree. Mid order, I'm cut off with the famous question of, "how many donuts will you be buying". Now I have to really focus to ensure I don't mess up the order of my loved ones back home, so being cut off mid order frustrates me. The last 2 times here at Portola they have not done this, which leads me to believe it was just due to this employee. DD please stop this annoying upsell (Mid Sentence).
