I had to try the s'mores donut. And the showcase towards the back wall displayed all the regular donuts at $17 a dozen I also ordered a dozen of those donuts The s'mores donut was really fresh with the exception of the graham cracker topping, which was stale, not crunchy. The different flavors of it really popped with the exception of said graham cracker. This was really good. Now the dozen regular donuts... I started with the spiced powdered doughnut that was absolutely stunning delicious with the different flavors, exploding in my mouth, created such an enjoyable experience The chocolate covered donut, another fresh donut made that morning, and it just popped I shared the rest of the donuts with my neighbors Mrs. Murphy's donuts is operating on a weird schedule. The donuts were very reasonably priced and delicious. We also tried the egg sandwiches, they were huge, made to order, and really hit the spot. The coffee was fantastic. It was smooth and flavorful, a perfect complement to the breakfast. My only minor complaint was the cheese danish, which had a flavor more like butterscotch than cheese, which I wasn't expecting. Overall, a great spot for breakfast sandwich or a sweet treat.

The girl taking the orders, was also taking payments and making orders. She brought my açaí bowl out to me. This was super fresh and tasty. You can also get a bunch of different lattes and seasonal drinks like pumpkin pie latte or peppermint mocha ! They also are known for their sandwiches ! As other people walked in, they were greeted on a first name basis. Two ladies out front were giggling like schoolgirls as they happily chatted over steaming cups of coffee. There were two benches outside with a view of the mountains off in the distance, and the first blooms of spring were present everywhere you looked. I had a french toast bagel with their honey nut cream cheese and a cup of coffee. The bagel itself has to be one of the best bagels I've ever had. Great texture and tasted so very different from your average store-bought bagel. I was so impressed by it that I ended up buying half a dozen to take home. Would highly recommend for a cheap and satisfying breakfast.

King Donuts' measure over 4" across and tip the scales at over 6 ounces. Think of them as a highly edible and very yummy paperweight or door stop. And speaking of stops, we stopped in around 3:15 yesterday afternoon, and even though they close at 4, the place was packed with regulars. It kind of reminded me of a town hall meeting in there! Yes, it is most definitely a local neighborhood favorite. We picked up a bag of their donut holes and some of those gargantuan donuts. The chocolate donut holes and cherry cake donuts are so delicious they really need to be classified as a controlled substance. King Donuts is a great example of a local donut success story, as opposed to another pin on the map for the national corporate donut juggernaut. All Hail the King.

Opened in 1988, and why am I just discovering it (it's less than 20 miles away)? Busy place, but plenty of help, and they do a great job fulfilling orders. I opted for the "Nana" ...choice of chicken or tuna salad w lettuce, bacon, and tomato on a wrap or bagel. For me, they had me at rye. Ate outside on one of the two wrought iron tables. Perfectly made, even down to the "lightly toasted" that I requested. And generous amounts of bacon and chicken salad. Proverbial "hit the spot". Fancy Bagels also features 27 different bagels, all baked fresh daily. Additionally, 12 different flavored schmears, including cannoli! There will have to be another time. Now they have your typical food/shakes/ice cream favorites & such plus the location isn't really far from I-91& MA/CT state line varying on where you're destination is for & also the place pretty much looks like they didn't change their building style which is good because when some places change the bits forgive my statement but the building designs/architecture sort of goes to the toilet but not DQ (or Dairy Queen which is the proper term/name).
