It's 11 AM on Saturday and they don't have dark roast coffee and are not planning to make any. Hmmmm. At least they were nice.

The music is great, the energy is welcoming, and the staff truly makes the experience special. Azlyn makes the coffee, and she is so caring, kind, and focused. I love seeing young people who take pride in their work. she's a sweetheart and always professional. And then there's Rachel; my girl, the Biscuit Pusher . She's a ray of sunshine with such great customer service. She remembers me every time, and her energy is just unmatched. I might have to get her a pin that says Biscuit Pusher because she owns that title! The cashiers are friendly, management is attentive, and they genuinely want you to have a great experience. If there's ever an issue, they fix it right away. Tara, the owner, is amazing. Even when she's busy, she makes it a point to check on guests and ask how everything is going. She makes suggestions to make your biscuit sandwich selection go to another level. That level of engagement goes a long way. The quality of the biscuit is always on point. My only issue is that they tend to fall apart when you try to pick them up. I usually have to eat mine with a fork because they crumble so easily. I'd love if they could adjust the texture just a bit so they hold together better. If they did, they'd be perfect! If you haven't gone yet, get there. Let me know how your experience was. I'd love to hear.

Though, I am more of a breakfast sandwich on a toasted cinnamon bagel type...biscuits don't really do it for me. One thing is certain -- the biscuits are buttery. They really melt in your mouth; however, the sandwiches, paired with eggs, cheese and meat are standard. We tried a few items: The Uptown Girl, The Pattie, and Hash browns. Of course, I had to get iced coffee because what is life without iced coffee!? The Uptown Girl (first, love the name...although I'm not from Philly, I am from Uptown DC!) was unique. Bacon, peanut butter and jelly with eggs and cheese. It was a bit messy. Weirdly, it was pretty good. Would I get it again? Don't think so. The Pattie is your standard breakfast sandwich -- meat, eggs and cheese. Nothing was special about the hash browns either. Iced coffee was also just ok. The inside is cutesy, reasonable amount of seating. Service was quick. Not sure if I'd visit again, but always try for yourself! Cheers!

It's been such a welcome addition to the Ambler coffee scene since it opened a few years back. I've been a long time Backyard Beans devotee, but Wake has the better beans and general quality. I've gotten a number of their drinks over the years, but my favorite is still a classic cappuccino with oat milk (they've also got macadamia nut milk as the other vegan/dairy free option). For tea lattes, I would pick their matcha over their chai. They used to have a number of pricier but very tasty specialty lattes for the holidays, but this year (2025) it seems like they've streamlined their menu. The Tall Man got his capp with their peppermint mocha syrup, though, and found it delicious. I got a vanilla steamer as a treat for my little one, and it came with a little cinnamon dusted tree. They've expanded their food options and now have a bunch of pastries (muffins, croissants, etc) as well as hot sandwiches and toasts. I didn't see gluten free baked goods, but they have gluten free bread! The brand they use is quite good (if you like sunflower seeds, which I do), but the slices are on the small side - so when I got the Early Bird breakfast sandwich, the filling was positively spilling over the sides. At least they didn't skimp on that! Adding the garlic aioli made it just that much better. The coffee shop is in a cool little converted auto shop right across the street from the SEPTA train station. They've got a number of small tables and longer shared tables, making for a great place to meet up or grab a morning drink. Some folks do cowork there, but it can get quite crowded on the weekends and holidays. High chairs available for the little ones. There's not much parking in their lot, but there is street parking as well as parking at the train station. I'll be back again and again!

While it was crowded we were waited on quickly and had service that was attentive but not overbearing. We started with cinnamon rolls that were perfectly soft and warm and came with a side of extra icing, which was a really nice touch. For lunch I had shrimp and grits. The flavor was good and presentation was nice. The shrimp were small, but there was a generous amount which helped offset the size. The space is open and has a nice mix of tables and booths. There are a lot of large windows, and it was freezing on the day we went so the restaurant interior was also freezing. They do have a fireplace, which is a nice touch, but didn't help with warmth. Overall this is a great spot with a wide variety of food options and would be ideal for families. Food: 4/5 Service: 3/5 Value: 4/5 Ambiance: 3/5

I settled for the house cold brew, which was great. Love that it came in its own flask and a coffee cube. I also requested milk on the side in lieu of creamer or sweet foam. Both the Nashville spicy honey wrap and the chicken pesto panini hit the spot. Next time I'm in town, I'll definitely go for the Nashville wrap again. That sweet, savory, and very mildly spicy chicken was just *chef's kiss* Service was fast, and our server was super sweet and attentive! We enjoyed a wonderful brunch, and I'd be keen on coming back again.
