Another Manhattan Bagel like every other Manhattan Bagel; this one in North Wales, PA. It's in a commercial strip center with big sign out front and plenty of parking. Service was friendly and efficient. Just as with the last one visited, it was out of onion bagels and I had to settle for garlic with veggie spread. Decent taste, but needed a breath freshener afterwards. The biggest issue with their bagels is the lack of crispness in the outer shell. These are soft, so while there are loads of toppings, the texture is inferior to the style I prefer. Not bad overall, just not my favorite. Store was clean and bright, so there's that.

Mystery bag

I did a toogoodtogo order and I'm surprised by the quantity! It was $5 for 12 bagels, it looks like they gave a variety of options; garlic, poppyseed, plain, and blueberry. The value alone is 5/5. The only reason it's a 4/5 is because the older man working gave me attitude. When I arrived I said I was picking up a toogoodtogo order which he misinterpreted as 'to go order' which is an innocent mistake but it seemed like he got mad at me for calling it a toogoodtogo order when that's the name of the app... and then said I need to call it a mystery bag. The younger worker then came up to me and said I called it by the right name and doesn't know why the older man reacted that way. Despite that I was given my bagels rather quickly, I would order again probably at the lansdale location as it seems like the older man has a tendency to be less than kind to the customer based on the previous reviews.

Dust and more dust someone needs to do a good clean up

I just can't believe how dirty this place is , I just hope that the kitchen is cleaner than the dining room , my first time here and I'm so disappointed

We went in this morning, and after listening to the guy at the register yell at his employees and two customers, we left. So disrespectful!

Pumpernick's Deli - Another amazing "Rachel"

Pumpernick's Deli

We were driving to an early appointment and wanted to have breakfast afterwards. On the way to the…read moreappointment we passed Pumpernick's Deli. After looking at the review, we decided to try it out. It's a nice venue - it was very quiet and had a relaxed vibe. We had recently gone to Hymie's Deli (Merion Station) and the noise level there was a little deafening. Several of the reviews on Pumpernick's mentioned the Challah French Toast...many quite favorably. We decided to order that and the Veggie Omelette, sharing each. I love Challah French Toast, I make it once a week. I perfected my recipe in college working at a breakfast-lunch restaurant near campus. It all starts with the challah - we had a bakery in Youngstown that made the lightest, fluffiest and tastiest challah. The owner insisted we use only butter in the pan when grilling the French Toast. It wasn't rocket science. Somehow, Pumpernick's missed the mark. It looked very appetizing when the dish arrived, but as soon as I tried to cut a piece, I immediately knew it wasn't 'light and fluffy'. Just the opposite - it was probably the 'heaviest' and dense French Toast I've had. It tasted good - was grilled perfectly - and after a few bites, the texture didn't seem 'so bad', but it was. As I said I make French Toast with challahs (once a week) from Rolings Bakery to Whole Foods to Famous 4th Deli, and it's never near as dense and thick as the French Toast at Pumpernick's. I would guess it's the challah, not the preparation of the French Toast - but I'm not sure. Which brings me to where the challah is from - I asked - it's from Jeff Solomon Inc, a bakery in Elkins Park, that's been in business about 30 years. Enough about the French Toast, let's talk about the Veggie Omelette, which was delicious! I routinely make omelettes, with vegetables, and this omelette was as tasty as any I've made. There were onions, orange peppers, mushrooms and tomatoes, and both my partner and I were surprised at how much flavor the veggies had! The omelette itself was light and fluffy; it was delightful! There were hash brown potatoes served with the omelette which were cooked perfectly - crispy exterior with a tender and great potato taste. There was a cinnamon raisin bagel that also came with the omelette which was very good. We enjoyed our breakfast notwithstanding the Challah French Toast - on our return - I'll try the pancakes.

Now, I've been to several Guy Fieri restaurants in my life (actual restaurants) in Vegas and the like, and they were all top-notch. This, however, was not quite the case. Granted, I was certainly not expecting 5-star Vegas caliber dining here, but we were painfully curious to try this along with a few other "delivery only" places popping up. We ordered a Cuban sandwich - pricey and just okay. Slightly inconsistent distribution of meats across the entirety of the sandwich. Basically, one half was great, the other half was so-so... basic math gives that a solid "C" - so again, just okay. We also went for the cheesesteak egg rolls. Again - just okay. Really scant amount of meat, and the "SMC" (super melty cheese) tasted a lot more like a cheap processed American than the claimed provolone. So again, just okay. They even completely omitted the sriracha ketchup, but I was able to concoct my own. The queso dip was actually quite nice. Very flavorful and nicely seasoned with lots of corn, poblanos, and bacon to go around. The chips that came with the queso were grossly under-fried - they might have been good if they were crisp enough, but as they came, they were completely inedible - right in the trash. Finally, and I saved the best for last, the fries. I will admit that the fries were actually something special. Super crispy and loaded with flavor. If you're looking for fries, this is the place! Otherwise, you may look elsewhere. I don't plan on risking the burgers, sadly. I'm really not sure that Guy has even been served the same food we ate the other night, or he'd not allow his name to be associated in this manner. All that said, the fries and the queso get this bumped up to 3 stars - otherwise, it'd be more like a 1.5-2

Had it delivered on time. Opened the container and looked at the burgers ,our immediate thought was "Are you kidding me?" Disappointing doesn't even come close. A sorry excuse of shredded lettuce, onion, and cheese on top of a tasteless burger. Also where was my tomato and special sauce that was supposed to come with it? Nothing worse than expecting a great food experience and getting let down big time. $57 for 3 burgers and 1 French fry -including delivery and tip for driver.

It's a fun place to unwind and run into familiar faces. When the lunch bell sounds, the line forms swiftly, as the masses gather to devour their hoagies and onion rings. There's a nice mix between cold food, like salads and wraps, and hot foods, a majority of which fall into the soup and chili categories. At first glance, what initially comes off as a casual cafe bistro, shows off a surprisingly robust menu upon further inspection. In the spring months, sitting outside in the painstakingly crafted campus, with its obligatory man-made pond, is the preferred way to break up the day and maybe even get a little tan. In the backdrop, the blue sky shimmers off the reflective windows of each looming building, a perfect union of work and play. I am thrilled for the owners, who nearly had to close their doors for good during the COVID-induced shutdown years back. Now, with CEOs leading their return-to-office crusades around the country, the hardworking corporate café worker can once again flourish.
