Store #307149 in FL is terrible. Each time there I need to ask if the coffee is fresh. Usually when I get home and open coffee it tastes like dishwater. Muffins usually taste like they have been frozen. Anyway, today I got home and once again coffee tastes old and my 3 creams I asked for was not 3 creams. It was probably 1. This is not that place. This is the main location of Dunkin Donuts, or rather their headquarters is here, I should say, and you should know that their hot chocolate is awesome. Other stuff? Not so much, especially not a fan of the donuts themselves. Dunkin will always score decently from me, because unlike Starbucks and co, they're not centrally owned, they're often franchised, which gives each store slightly more local flavour. Plus they have - by far - the best hot chocolate of any of the chains - infinitely better than the gross and overpriced version served at Starbucks, and the watered down weird version at Tim Hortons. Having been a DD customer for a long time, I have become concerned over DD's poor customer service. Please read the email below, which to this date has received no response. None! Nil! Nada! At this point it isn't about the rewards, but your poor customer performance. Looking forward to your response. On Monday, August 4th, I ordered a large ice coffee. I did it through my mobile app and because I am not an idiot, I activated the 100 points reward for a mobile order. The next day I realized that the 100 points were not awarded to my account. So, I followed up with a message to customer service - Case #4617609. When I didn't anything for a few days I sent a second email and got a second case number - 4013221. The following week I got two separate responses from DD, each telling me how to activate the bonus reward. I responded to both that I did that and still not get the bonus reward. I also noted that if the emails were read that was stated - twice. On August 15th I received an email that DD needed some more information and gave me a number to call. I called twice on August 18th, and after being on hold for 15 minutes each time I was asked to leave a number for a call back. I did that twice and still have not heard anything. When DD corporate created the app, I was thrilled. Just use that to pay for my coffee fix. So easy. But then they listened to me (haha) and have now created a "Dunkin on the Go" type thing where you can use the app to order ahead. FINALLY. I can stop waiting in lines behind people ordering crazy complicated things that take tons of time for the employees to create. While I wait for a simple coffee. You may be familiar with my reviews of Dunkins where I comment that they need a "coffee only" type line, something where those of us picking up a hot coffee with milk or sugar can get in and out quickly (from this FAST FOOD place). So this is not exactly that, but its a great step in that direction. You know you are going to pick up a coffee. Open the app and go to the "On the go" ordering area, find your DD, and place the order. When you arrive it'll be waiting. Ive only ever picked up inside, but may work in the drive thru too, I'm not sure. So while its a chain, and I usually give chains 3 stars, because its corporate and they have done something that really makes my life easier, I'm bumping to 5. The special drinks are poor at best and they never have good help and the one person who clearly works over 100 hours is not loving her job. This review is directed towards THE most rude and incompetent corporate office "talent acquisition manager" that I have ever encountered in my professional 25+ year programming career. This aforementioned HR grumbler, named Paula M*nard (in case any of you fellow developers ever have the misfortune of encountering her,) reached out to me via LinkedIn for a developer position at their HQ's. I had zero interest in commuting all the way to Canton but I figured I'd hear what they had to offer. Well, first, she canceled our call not once but twice at the last minute so I successfully picked up on her/their "my time is obviously more important than yours" attitude. Side note - aren't you, the recruiter, supposed to be wowing and impressing me? I'm pretty sure the market is as red hot right now as it's ever been. I'm not looking for ass kissing but be f'n professional. Well, when we finally spoke a few weeks later, she immediately evoked this condescending tone on the phone and, more shockingly, proceeded to waste 10 f'n minutes of my life complaining about how much work she's been doing and the fact that the company doesn't appreciate all that she does and won't hire anyone else to help her. I seriously can't make this shit up. She actually made it sound like she was doing them a favor by working there. Now, I've been around the block enough as a hiring manager myself to quickly identify certain entrenched individuals that have been embedded in the same, safe job for 10+ years at one company in one role (aka the lifers) and lose touch with how the professional world actually works. This was her. I can assure you the call did not end well either. She was so off-putting, I have promised myself I will avoid setting foot in a Dunkin' Donuts ever again, at all costs, and have also implored my family to do the same. Let me tell you! Dunkins Corporate has to be one of the rudest businesses that I have ever dealt with in my life. Now I have met some very nice workers at Dunkins, though I have met some very nasty ones too. I went to a Dunkin drive thru to get my grandauther a donut. I decided to also order a cup of water. When speaking to the machine the woman only charged me for a donut. When I got to the window she also charged me for the water. I find it odd that after she saw me in person the price was double. I dont mean to bragg but I am pretty! The woman was clearly jealous. When I called corporate the woman said to me that they could charge anything they want even for water. Believe me I do, however the price of your coffee has gone up substantially since this past February when I could buy 4 Lbs of Dunkin Donuts Coffee for $19.99, it is now $10.99 a Lbs. I used to order a cup of coffee with a shot of espresso when my friends insisted on stopping at Dunkin Donuts. When I heard about the new dark blend I tried it. I had a coupon for a free one. It was good. Then, I tried it a second time and it was very weak. I was traveling and didn't want to backtrack to get my money back. OMG the worst customer service ever at the Dunkin Donuts at: 13600 Falls Of Neuse Rd Ste 100, Raleigh, NC 27614. This occurrence happened on 9/4/16 at 115pm The shift lead assistant manager was a complete and utter rude person. She glared at me with piercing eyes and told me it was her store and to get out just because I questioned the usage of the app and its functionality to order food In advance. I am a customer in a store and to be treated like that is unacceptable. You do not treat customers like that She did however confirm she was not the owner and would not give me the owners contact information. I have never in my life experienced such bad customer service from any Dunkin Donuts. I will never recommend this location to anybody simply because of how poor and inadequate this service was.
