Dunkin' Donuts may be the king of New England, but it does not reign king in Buffalo. I usually come to Dunkin' Donuts for Loganberry coolatas and nothing more but last Sunday it was the place to go for lunch. Came here in the afternoon and decided to try some things on the menu I've never tried before. I ended up trying the new $2 chicken tenders and the $2 pretzel bites and both lead to disappointment, but I'll get back to that. When we placed our order and got to the window they only gave us one of the chicken tenders we ordered (my girlfriend also ordered one). When we told them that we only got one it turned into 4 minutes of them asking us if we actually ordered two, looking at our recipe, and then trying to figure out what happened to the other chicken tenders they made.....which was a tad confusing. Let's do a quick break down here. Rainbow sprinkle donut- It's a donut, nothing special but it tasted good and was definitely the best thing I had. Pretzel bites- These tasted like they were microwaved a half hour ago and then served, not good, not good at all. Chicken tenders- These were not terrible, but they mostly tasted like microwaved chicken tenders from a bag. Loganberry coolata- This was hands down the highlight of the trip. This is definitely the best flavour of collate....and sadly......THEY HAVE DISCONTINUED THIS ITEM SINCE MY LAST TRIP. Dunkin' Donuts is Dunkin' Donuts, if you need some coffee, some donuts, or a breakfast sandwich, this is a safe place to stop. I wouldn't recommend trying much else.

I decided to give Dunkin a go for the first time in about a year and I'll be pleased to say that my coffee doesn't taste like dirty dish water today!

Waiting for, you guessed it, a kid at practice--I'm thinkin' Dunkin decaf. :-)

This Dunkin' location is not our usual store, but when our daughter is playing off-season AAU basketball, this location is closer to her practices and then heavier in our Dunkin'-rotation. Dunkin' is my favorite chain store coffee blend. Both Tim Horton's and Starbucks coffees are too dark for my liking, even their lighter roasts. Dunkin's regular coffee is a nice smooth lighter roast that is always hot and fresh. This rings true at this Dunkin' location, too. One challenge we've run into here is most times we come something that we order on the app is out of stock. We're coming later at night, after 6pm, so AM availability across the menu is probably better, I assume. But later-night can be hit or miss. The good thing is the very friendly drive-thru staff, (after 6pm they lock up and serve drive-thru only), will go above and beyond to offer a satisfactory substitute. We'll continue to come through this Dunkin' when we're in the area to enjoy a hot cup of decaf when waiting for the kiddo to do her thing on the hardwoods.

This store is a hot mess. I hate to say that..but the employees are actively arguing in front of customers and yelling at one another. The shop was a mess, with the trash overflowing and chairs all around the store. Wait for three coffees was around 20 minutes... with only one other person in front of us. I hope management address these issues or the store will fail.

Paula's Donuts helped heal me after surgery - seriously. But first, a few words about the best…read moredonuts in the United States. I feel confident that statement is true. These are not featherweight, boring, drive thru chain donuts that never fail to disappoint. The box says they are "made with love" and while I certainly hope the bakers and makers are not oozing affection for the creations as they do their job (because that would get weird right?), the recipes and standards of ultra high quality that this unique WNY establishment has sure shows a respect and appreciation for their customers. The dough is light and never greasy tasting. The cream fillings are also fluffy and airy and melt in your mouth. Jellies are all top notch and let me be clear, the donuts are packed full with whatever is inside. Or on top. The headlights are incredible. Peanut butter offerings (several to choose from) are stellar. I'm not sure if the chocolate icing is a ganache but it seems much more like a ganache than the lousy, dried out icing you might find at places we need not mention. Staff are always courteous, polite and fast. I think each donut is going for about $2.30 but well worth it for the size and quality. A box of 3 is heavy to hold. You get a lot of donut for your buck. I've been on a Paula's kick for a couple months, stopping in when appropriate for my donut desires but trying to be mindful of my waistline. I like to sit down and really enjoy every bite. These are not ordinary donuts, they are an experience to savor. But how do Paula's donuts help one recover from surgery? It's about what you might do with them. My friend picked me up and brought me home after the hospital and slyly produced a bag of donuts for me, which I sat down and ate the minute I walked in the door. The unexpected gesture of something I've been enjoying a lot lately certainly took my mind off any discomfort. Nice friend, right? Part of recovery is having supportive friends and family and I'm glad I've got that. And I'm glad I also got a bag of donuts to make a "rough day" a lot better. So, Paula's people - I haven't tried them all yet so I guess I'm going to have to return. (Image is different donuts from a different day.)

Upon walking in, the store looked like a standard "hole-in-the wall" place and had a simple selection of donuts to choose from. If you want to use a credit card, you have to spend at least $5. Donuts: I got the classic glazed donut, peanut donut, red velvet, and a cream filled donut. The glazed donut was soft and delicious. The peanut donut was more on the crumbly side but still great flavour. The red velvet had a nice cream cheese icing. The cream filled donut had a typical white cream filling. Personally, I liked the glazed donut the best - great texture and wasn't too overly sweet. The pricing here is amazing - $1.50 for great quality donuts! Easy to park on the street. There's no seating inside, so it's more of a takeout place. They also sell lottery tickets alongside donuts. It is certainly worth the visit along the way coming from Toronto.

For $10, you get 13 donuts which is a steal! The Apple Cider donuts were as amazing as I remembered them to be! Hands down, one of the best Apple Cider donuts I've had. They had a nice apple flavor to it and weren't overly sweet like other ones I've had. I also had the original sugared donuts. This was my first time having one of them. I really like how fluffy they were but they tasted a little boring and didn't have much flavor to them. Overall, I'm a huge fan of Duke's Donuts.
