the inside of a dunkin donuts store
Luke J.

First of all, I would like to give this a 4.5, but I can't do that and I didn't want to bring down their rating. This Dunkin' Donuts was definitely one of the best I have been to. It is in it's own little part of the convenience store, with a cozy vibe. The staff was extremely nice, and the kitchen was tidy. Right off the bat I will admit they messed up our (large) order by giving us a small coffee coolatta rather than the small vanilla coolatta which I ordered. They were very sorry and replaced it immediately with a courteous medium. Other than that I would have given it 5 stars. They had a sufficient amount of donuts, and the cashier radiated kindness. I really liked its location, and how it had the coffee-shop vibe we all wish for in a DD, but never find. It was relatively clean, and there was no trash around in tables/chairs/floor. The bathroom did have a broken lock, but it was in the convenience store so I can't blame Dunkin'. The interior design of the shop was better than those I have been to, and had a groovy/modern feel. The couch along the wall was comfortable, and there was plenty of space for a family. Overall I had a really enjoyable experience, and wish I could have stayed longer to eat. My advice? DON'T DO THE DRIVE THRU, it's way too nice inside! -Luke James

So a man and three ladies walk into a gas station....the Flag Ladies and a Priest appear at D&D! Yay Thank Goodness for Dunkin

I am not a big fan of corporate coffee houses but DD is the Best in the World. At least that is what I have witnessed. They were the only coffee company to support my deployment to the Middle East. They sent at least 50 lbs of beans to us! Today I was blessed to be treated to the fastest service at a coffee stand ever....a minute twenty! The medium regular is the Bomb! Great service friendly, clean and efficient! That's American Coffee at her Best! FYI I am usually a Dark Magic Espresso GMC drinker;-)

We were greeted by a friendly server The menu was diverse, and all the dishes seemed well curated. They serve local coffee! I had the generously portioned sweet potato and scrambled egg bowl. My husband ordered corned beef eggs Benedict with home fries. It was unfortunate that his home fries were cold and rather dried up. The server offered to bring out fresh home fries. then the front of the house manager brought our bill and discounted the tab greatly. He was very apologetic. We definitely would go back based on this customer service. Worth mentioning, there is a side entrance that is handicap accessible (the main entrance on Centre Street has steps leading up to it). But if one wanted to go to the bakery counter from that entrance, there are a few steps to get to that level.

Our beverages were there in no time flat. I ordered the avocado toast. WOW! Excellent decision! Perfect slices of avocado and tomato on toast, served with two eggs and the freshest, most beautiful fruit cup! Delicious! My son ordered the breakfast burrito with no onions, and although it did arrive with onions, he was successful in removing them. He said it was very good. Although we didn't try any, their bakery items looked mouthwatering.

The Galley - Chunky haddock chowder perfect for a February trip to the coast!

The Galley is THE local breakfast and lunch spot in Bath for casual, simple, fresh made, well…read morepriced meals. I'm a breakfast regular, early mornings with the local fisherman and tradesmen and mid morning with families and other locals. Just order the days special, or hope they've still got haddock chowder and pie with ice cream left (all house made and great). Booths and counter space. Very casual but always clean and bustling. Super friendly (and fast and pro) staff, even if you're from away . Coffee refills at the ready (this isn't Starbucks, don't expect an espresso machine). Off street parking in their lot, open year round. Did I mention the chowder and pie?

The more you look around the more you realize why it is called the galley. If you stop in look for all of the things you might see in the galley of a ship. It is a family run diner. The wait staff were very congenial and rather cheery, the service was great, the prices were good, the portions were larger than we expected but more importantly delicious. The other patrons seemed to be locals as there were lively discussions not only at their table but from table to table. When someone new walked in there were greetings to them from other patrons. The atmosphere was awesome, the food was great, the staff were welcoming, and the decor fit the name! PS The diner was clean!

The line up is an eclectic mix of Maine products and vendors. Whether you need a sweater (or her lamb), specialty vinegars (and recipes), or any other delicious housewarming or holiday present, the market offers a diverse array of products besides the organic produce and other goodies. We like providing them to our VRBO guests too. We do wish they would move Hootenanny's Bread to the south end of the market near Dharma Farms and Kelly Bros beef-- it would reduce the congestion from the long lines and make the "main street" of the market more enjoyable. The market moves indoors with fewer vendors in November-- being in the historic freight shed is a little more crowded but also cozy as the winter months progress. And our freezer is never without a Mainely Poultry pot pie or two, some haddock "burgers", or a Chase Farms apple pie. It's our kids (and their kids) favorite activity when they visit.

Grab yourself some totally goattly chipotle cheese, a few loaves from the Van Gogh of Dough, and some chicken legs from Maine-ly Poultry. And even if they aren't punny, pick up some fresh eggs, crab dip, squash, sage bundles for spiritual wellness, handmade candles, peppers of all kinds, shepherd's pie, heritiage pork, and the best jam ever. That's just a little bit of the selection. And if you tell the folks selling bulbs for your garden that you don't have a garden because you lead a sad life in NYC, they will offer a sympathetic, "Awwww." But my favorite thing about this market? There was a little kid trying to buy a pumpkin, and he dropped it. The nice vendor said he could still have it, but now it's a squash. I'm going to be using that dad joke for decades to come.
