All Dunkin donuts have the same assortments of donuts. Nothing special. My husband went in n ordered 4 free drinks from the cumulated rewards he earned. They were placed n carried out in the recycled tray like those from McDs n laid it down on the SUV floor. We drove off. When he went to pick the tray after parking, he discovered that 1 coffee latte drink emptied itself totally on the mat. It was his! Needless to say, he was upset. We went back to get his free latte again n i told the gal that 1 of them didnt push the 1 drink down into the tray. I returned the tray to her as i wanted to demonstrate. At first, she was quiet n then she apologized. Now THAT calmed my anger. My husband got his already free coffee n i got to live with coffee latte stink for a week now even after sponging the coffee spill numerous times. The mat still sit outside of my SUV after drying from several splash of clean water. I thought of spraying good smells onto the unmat floor of my SUV but stopped because i visioned the bad combination of smells. I rather have my vehicle blessed in other ways. I guess I should've looked at reviews. They apparently glaze all their donuts and donut holes when they are still hot. Whatever glaze they did put on was completely soaked into the dough and you're left with moist stale tasting garbage. Never going there again. read more

There is new management apparently, not sure why. They are slow, unprofessional, and inadequately staffed. I was in the drive thru and received horrible service. I understand orders can get mixed up but I should not have to sit there and argue with the employees about what I ordered. I ordered a dunkalatte and snackin bacon and when I got to the window they tried to give me an Americana i then said "sorry I ordered a dunkalatte" they proceeded to argue with me about it until finally the employee said "I guess I'll remake it" you guess? honey I'm the one paying for it not you. I came in the middle of the day and had to wait around 25 minutes in the drive-thru which was not ideal. Don't come before you have to be somewhere. My drink was made correctly and tasted great. My heart goes to this place - I recently switched from Starbucks over to Dunkin after trying just one drink & getting madly hooked. Practically every morning I drive in through the drive through & I am greeted by the kindest cashier, the second I start my order she verbally finishes it & she will laugh along asking if I want anything else & waves to me from the back if she's not personally attending to the window service. They're fast, incredibly service & super friendly & I am so happy I made the switch. I come here weekly. I've stopped coming inside because the dining area is rarely clean. They staff enough to keep the lines moving but not to keep the store clean unless there is some down time. When going through the drive thru which I do weekly, I can tell you that the lines move fast even when you order sandwiches. They drive thru staff is also usually very friendly. read more

Stay away from this place on Saturday's unless you want to wait 15 minutes to place your order and it's incorrect! But the icing on the cake is when you place your order online and they still get it wrong! This happen to me three times and today Monday (2-22-21) was the final straw! I told the manager about the incorrect order and gave her the receipt and the sandwich she had one of the crew member to make my another sandwich when I received the so called correct sandwich it was still incorrect! Ok. Here it goes. We have come here a few times after church since my first review and gotten subpar service and food. They are always out of doughnuts by 10am except plain. Service is super slow and they are ways under staffed. Coffee drinks are ok. But orders get messed up all of the time leading to tie ups at the register with tons of refunds. And unhappy employees as is kind of a staple here apparently. Everything is a little pricy compared to other local businesses. Not impressed. We ended up going to their competitors Chu Chu doughnuts and had much better service and doughnuts! read more

Awesome donut place! Not only are their donuts here great, but so are their coffee, bagels, and hashbrowns. (Yes, hashbrowns). This location is convenient because they also have a drive-thru. I constantly receive coupons in the mail and they are very good coupons. Although this is out of my way, I still come here often for their products. I am glad Ankeny has a Dunkin' Donuts now, it brings more variety to donuts and coffee to the city. read more

These guys are just way too slow to grab a coffee before work. Unless you plan on allowing enough time to wait in the drive thru line for 30 minutes. Not exaggerating. I'm here now and it's been over 30 min. It's like this every time I have tried to use their drive thru in the morning and I end up just leaving after wasting 30 min in line, along with other cars. I've came inside instead a couple times. The manager is good but unfortunately he's the only one out of 5 other girls that's not moving in slow motion. This is the WORST Dunkin' Donuts establishment that I have ever came to, not once,not twice ... this review is based off of multiple visits. Here is what happened today ... I go to order some doughnuts and ask if they even have some before I proceed to order (knowing that they consistently run out before 10 o'clock in the morning). I was told in a very pleasant voice, "yes, we sure do." I drive up to the window to pay and receive my goods, only to be told, "sorry, we are out of glazed doughnuts, but I can give you glazed munchkins instead." I agreed, then, wait for it ... she comes back and said, "sorry, we are out of the glazed munchkins as well." I can't make this stuff up! This rant is really not for the employees (although they should know what they have or not have in the small area that they work), but more so for the franchise owner, whom obviously doesn't care about this particular store. It is more than sad, that a place that is and always will be known for COFFEE and "DONUTS", NEVER,EVER,EVER, have doughnuts past 7 or 8 am!!!!!!! I really enjoy the coffee at this location. Rarely do they mess up an order, but we're all human, right? My issue with this location is that the manager (I'm assuming he's the manager, I guess) is SO MEAN to his employees?? I don't get it! You really have to think about what sets a restaurant apart from places like Chick-fil-A, where their 25 car lines move faster than a 3 car line at McDonald's. This Dunkin' Donuts and I have a relationship built on insanity. I keep going back, getting the same questionable service time and time again, yet always expecting something different...something better. The staff seem disgruntled and annoyed with customers - rarely seen with a smile on their face. Today, the staff person working the drive thru sounded like a cross between Aubrey Plaza and Eeyore...totally annoyed, disinterested, with a hint of gloom. When I was handed my coffee, one side of the cup was covered in syrup. I asked for some napkins and received an audible "ugh" and an eye roll. I was then handed one...yep, one napkin. This is my favorite Dunkin' Donuts and preferred coffee place in Ankeny because it is affordable as a college student! Every staff member is extremely friendly, and patient. I come here multiple times a week for their daily deal on iced coffee and am never disappointed only with the exception of one visit through the drive-thru when I got the wrong order because that staff member was new. Inside is cool and typically clean unless they have been very busy and the people who were there don't know how to take care of their own mess. read more
