These days with covid-19 I always try to use the drive-thru when I can. I will say it looks like the safety procedures are being followed the staff are masked and have gloves so that's good news. the donuts as always are really good I love the original glazed and I really enjoy the chocolate glazed as well. Over the last several months I've limited my trips here as things were not what they use to be. This is the only Krispie around for miles. The few times I've been it's always clean and courteous. The donuts were rolling off the conveyor belt this morning when I came in around 10. Today's big this was the chocolate chocolate glazed donuts. They had hot fresh ones and then I found a coupon for a free dozen of the original glazed too. There was about seven people working behind the counter making donuts. The line was not long, it moved quickly. I bet earlier in the morning was crazy with the first Friday of the month promotions. They are busy enough that the donut cases ate empty after a short time in the mornings. I am a big fan of Krispy Kreme donuts, but not the biggest fan of this location. The sitting areas were pretty dirty when I went with a group of friends. The floors looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a while, and the bathrooms were pretty gross. So, overall the cleanliness of this place was not great. The employees were there but did not seem to care too much about helping. They were more distracted by other things. It seemed that all the employees I saw were teenagers, so I'm not sure where the manager was? I went in to get one and came out with a half dozen. :o) There must have been a promotion going that the person in front of me got a dozen glazed doughnuts, he didn't want them. Another customer said she would take them. The lady told her she couldn't do that, the customer had to give them to her. I think that statement was fine, until she repeated it 5 times. Krispy Kreme has some of the freshest donuts in WDM. But, I would suggest that they turn off the online ordering for pick-up if they know that the drive-through is the only thing open. If you schedule a pick-up, then have to wait in line for 20 minutes in the drive-through, it kind of defeats the point. I've had to cancel 2 orders because of this and every time I arrive, I see multiple other vehicles leave in frustration. Its a time suck, multiplied over 100's of visitors is just wrong. read more

However, each time we asked for a donut to add to our "assorted" we were informed they were out. So, in a spirit of simplicity, I said, "just give us an assorted dozen." I have been to many different Krispy Kremes in many different states and I must say, this one was the best. I was craving something sweet so I decided to come here for the best donuts. It was an hour till closing and the employee Ben treated us so well. He treated us with so much respect and answered all of our questions. Having staff like him is what brings loyal costumers back. Who doesn't love Krispy Kreme?! When I was a kid, they had a location in Cedar Rapids. We always stopped when the sign was on that doesn't were being made--hot and fresh. We were devastated when it closed. Since then, it was only when I could find one on random trips: a quick stop at one in Florida, one in Lincoln. You get the idea. I'm one of those crazy Minnesotans that loves Krispy Kreme so much I'm willing to drive almost 5 hours to Iowa to get some! I love this location because it's the closest to my house and the service is always wonderful! I've been here multiple times and each time the employees are friendly and are willing to pack my 5+ dozen doughnuts with a smile on their face!
