It's a classic Krispy Kreme donut shop with all the favorites that you've come to expect plus some seasonal Doughnuts. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. There are lots of classic and exotic flavors. I enjoyed the classic glaze, and the classic chocolate glaze. My only suggestion, as in all good bakeries, is to come early. The curb appeal of the building is not great- bumpy parking lots, weeds all over, and tree branches hit your car in the drive thru loop. The service however was quick and efficient. Donuts were coming off the roller but no glaze icing, although took payment for those in line, then locked us in so more customers could come in. After 30 mins, they had to make the glaze. It's very clean, organized, and well maintained store. To be frank donuts are not something I would commonly get my myself... I'm more a savory food person, and donuts are way too sweet for me. But I guess it's because I haven't experienced the best of donuts yet! I still don't really like regular donuts, but the ones that just made from the machine, the donuts that JUST got coated with sugar 5 seconds ago.. is AMAZING. It's still warm, the top sugar layer is still not sticking to the donuts due to the heat.. THAT IS SO GOOD. It's not as sweet due the the sugar frosting is kinda melted away or is crumbled and falling down while you eat the donuts so you can taste the dough flavor way more than just sugar. I LOVED IT! Didn't know it could be this good and also didn't know you can request for the ones that just made from the machine! This is the only Krispie around for miles. The few times I've been it's always clean and courteous. The donuts were rolling off the conveyor belt this morning when I came in around 10. Today's big this was the chocolate chocolate glazed donuts. They had hot fresh ones and then I found a coupon for a free dozen of the original glazed too. There was about seven people working behind the counter making donuts. The line was not long, it moved quickly. I bet earlier in the morning was crazy with the first Friday of the month promotions. They are busy enough that the donut cases ate empty after a short time in the mornings. The smell in there is intoxicating and you could stand and watch donuts being made for awhile if you wanted. read more

I've been going here for several years now. I normally stop in on weekends to grab some stuff for the daughter and I. Over the last several months I've limited my trips here as things were not what they use to be. The lobby hasn't been open for quite sometime, always short on donuts and time doesn't change I can go in early or mid morning and still don't have what I want. I've even had a few times that the donuts weren't that great. Drive thru service is normally really slow. Pull up to speaker and they say they will be with you shortly. I am a big fan of Krispy Kreme donuts, but not the biggest fan of this location. The sitting areas were pretty dirty when I went with a group of friends. The floors looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a while, and the bathrooms were pretty gross. So, overall the cleanliness of this place was not great. The employees were there but did not seem to care too much about helping. They were more distracted by other things. It seemed that all the employees I saw were teenagers, so I'm not sure where the manager was? I went in to get one and came out with a half dozen. :o) There must have been a promotion going that the person in front of me got a dozen glazed doughnuts, he didn't want them. Another customer said she would take them. The lady told her she couldn't do that, the customer had to give them to her. I think that statement was fine, until she repeated it 5 times. I think we all got it the first time. That particular policy must get tricky since she seemed like she had to reiterate it numerous times, even though no one said anything negative. Updating my review because of a better experience. The big kid wanted Kristy Kreme for his birthday. We both settled for the plain lightly glazed donuts that come out hot and fresh. WHAT A GAME CHANGER!!! SO THIS is why people like Krispy Kreme. Get the plain hot donuts with a cup of their hot coffee and it hits the donut craving. No one ever told me to get here so I was going for the flavored donuts. Which are NOT hot. They are cooled down from earlier in the morning and they must get more dense as they cool. It was an hour till closing and the employee Ben treated us so well. He treated us with so much respect and answered all of our questions. Having staff like him is what brings loyal costumers back. The Clive location had there lobby closed in the afternoon so we had to go through the drive thru. We wanted to order a dozen original glazed and choose a dozen assorted donuts. However, each time we asked for a donut to add to our "assorted" we were informed they were out. So, in a spirit of simplicity, I said, "just give us an assorted dozen." After we pulled away, I opened our two boxes. In one, a dozen glazed. In the other box, eight glazed and two chocolate filled and two strawberry glazed. Is that a dozen assorted? Krispy Kreme has some of the freshest donuts in WDM. But, I would suggest that they turn off the online ordering for pick-up if they know that the drive-through is the only thing open. If you schedule a pick-up, then have to wait in line for 20 minutes in the drive-through, it kind of defeats the point. I've had to cancel 2 orders because of this and every time I arrive, I see multiple other vehicles leave in frustration. Its a time suck, multiplied over 100's of visitors is just wrong. read more

Who doesn't love Krispy Kreme?! When I was a kid, they had a location in Cedar Rapids. We always stopped when the sign was on that doesn't were being made--hot and fresh. We were devastated when it closed. Since then, it was only when I could find one on random trips: a quick stop at one in Florida, one in Lincoln. You get the idea. But now I'm happy to announce I'm living in a city that has a Krispy Kreme again! I'm a pretty plain-Jane girl when it comes to donuts, and those glazed ones are perfect for me.
