Well, it looks like it is permanently closed. That's really sad. The staff was friendly and the manager greeted you personally.

There's both bar and table seating. It's tapas style and the menu was great. We had a variety of dishes including tuna tartare, Hamachi, two different types of street taco, and a noodle dish. Believe it or not, all of them were excellent. The Hamachi in particular - which is not a regular menu item but it was a special - was so good that my son and I ordered a second helping. Service was great, oh I forgot to mention I had the duck confit and it was better than the duck confit at the popular French bistro in my hometown. I wish this restaurant were close by to my home - I would go there at least once a week. Unfortunately we were just visiting the area. I can highly recommend this place. Were there any flaws? The only thing I can point to is that the environment is a little bit loud. Otherwise, no flaws. I regret that I didn't take any photos of the food, which I usually do. Honestly the stuff was so good that once it hit the table we just dug in!

What used to be a sketchy area is now filled with boutique shops, bustling businesses of tech and industry, arts, culture, and restaurants. One such upscale craft cocktail bar is Wolf Tree. If you didn't know it, you might feel as if you'd stepped into a hipster cocktail lounge in Brooklyn as you walk into Wolf Tree. They offer a variety of playful and inventive drinks. My friend was able to get a virgin cocktail but I just wish they had more than one single cocktail on the menu with vodka. With my choices somewhat limited, I went with a drink called "Friday I'm In Love": vodka, citrus, strawberry, mint, and bubbles. It looked beautiful when it arrived to the table and was a palate pleaser with sour, sweet, and minty flavors. They have weekly specials, classic-type cocktails, and what they call "happy meals" - a beer and shot combination. Don't fear, though, they still have Budweiser, Bud Lite, Miller High Life, and other draft beers for those feeling more traditional Upper Valley. We also ordered one of their charcuterie boards that featured local selections of cheese and meats, olives, pickled vegetables, cured mustards, and a baguette. A great selection but like most of Wolf Tree, a little on the expensive side. Overall I enjoyed my first trip to Wolf Tree and I'm glad hip places like this exist in the Upper Valley.

This space is very cozy which has seating at the bar, regular table seating, high top tables, and soft armchairs in the back corner. It is mostly standing room when it's busy. They also feature live music in here and there is more seating outside next to fire pit tables. There was also a food tent outside where you could buy some hot food, separate from Harry's, but enjoy your food with your drink. I stop by Harry's Cocktail Lounge during their grand opening. They were giving out gift bags with samples for 21yo+ customers. I also got drinks at the bar, which was extremely busy earlier in the evening and waits close to 10 minutes for drinks. Had the 1791 ($12 plus tax): Rye whiskey, Eden's Orleans herbal cider, raw honey, cranberries, club soda and the Lavender Haze ($6 plus tax): Lavender syrup, fresh lemon juice, club soda. I enjoyed some live music by a great regional musician as I sip on my drinks. After I was done, I headed over to their other main building to enjoy some live bluegrass music.

Tried some cocktails made with alcohol from the distillery next door. First of all, the smoothest vodka I've ever had. The cocktails were fantastic, and bartender Wendy (I think was her name) was great to talk with and indulged my lemon habit. Will be back! Also, bathrooms were super clean, and I take bathrooms very seriously.

Luckily, we didn't have reservations on a busy Friday night and scored a seat downstairs near the fireplace. Parking was a bit tight, but we managed to find a spot close by. The interior was beautifully decorated with string lights and barn wood beams, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere. Our waitress was very kind and clearly tried her best to accommodate the entire front of the restaurant on her own - for her first evening on the job, she did a great job. We both enjoyed the specials - salmon with broccoli and rice pilaf, plus I had a delicious beet salad. I enjoyed a refreshing raspberry mocktail, while my friend had THE RUBY SLIPPER--Absolut Ruby Red, elderflower liqueur, grapefruit juice, raspberry puree, and a sugar rim. We waited a bit for our check since I was in a rush to leave to take antihistamines; unfortunately, I discovered there was mustard in the salmon sauce, which I'm allergic to. I should have asked before ordering, but I only realized after my symptoms started following my last bite. Overall, it's a cozy, quaint place with limited parking, and reservations are recommended for a smoother experience.

Live music on certain nights, but not the two times we went. We tend to have dinner early though. Starter salads and soups were delicious and homemade. I had a Spanish onion soup on one night and a caprese salad variation another night (fresh mozzarella and summer tomatoes with a basil aioli)! Mains were equally delicious - herb wrapped tenderloin cooked to rare perfection, Carlos Chicken (a brined half chicken then coated with Cajun seasoning and deep fried). We have also had the pork loin and another chicken dish that had a creamy, sublime sauce. Definitely indulge in the bread basket and desserts; all of which are made by Heidi, one of the several family members that have been running the Skunk since the mid-80s. From-scratch delicious food, really lovely garden seating, and great cocktails! And last but not least, really friendly, attentive and professional wait staff. All the reasons why locals come often and vacationers come back year after year!

The tuna Crudo, with some sesame crusting and a wonderful sauce was delicious. The sauce had a warmth to it without overpowering the flavors. The tuna was seared perfectly. Next was the Hamachi ceviche. The citrus came through here and it was a more subtle dish than the Crudo, but very tasty. The spicy beef, raw, was amazing. The sauce it was mixed in, was very spicy, and the peanuts added a nice crunch. Even with that much power, the taste of the beef came through. The last of our small plates was the grits. This delicious smooth and rich concoction was a great accompaniment to the spice and zest of the other dishes. The grits, the cheddar, the truffle and the mushrooms had a sublime feel to the mouth and a subtle flavor with richness. For dessert, we had cappuccino, espresso and cannoli. My wife thought her cappuccino was great and I felt that the espresso was rich and smooth. I think it's better than you get it most restaurants. The disappointment, however, came in the cannoli. I would not recommend this dessert at all. These felt like they had been filled a day or two ago. There was absolutely no substance to the cannoli pastry whatsoever. However, a cannoli is not gonna keep me from coming back to this place! I will return.
