I'm writing this in hopes that the owners will see it. I would like to start by saying that this donut shop is great. Clean. Friendly staff. Great drip coffee from the local third wave coffee shop. Cute interior. The glazes they use are flavored really well and they're to die for. My one issue is that the donuts are always SO greasy. Like linger on the roof of my mouth, leave a residue for a long time kind of greasy. I'm wondering if maybe their oil isn't hot enough to fry them quickly enough that it doesn't just soak into the donut? I'm not sure what it is but it makes me sad. Fantastic selection and taste of donuts and croissant sandwiches. I love on the Georgetown Divide but this shop just became our favorite and worth the jaunt over the canyon for fresh and delicious donuts from this local business. Thanks! read more

Stopped by here on a Saturday around 10:30 am and there were only a few types of donuts left and two or three trays of cinnamon rolls. Wasn't a fan of the donut selection so I bought a cinnamon roll. It was alright - sweet, sugary, not bad. It simply lacked flavor. The interior is dated which isn't bad necessarily, but it felt old and cold. I didn't feel very welcome when walking in. A new coat of paint, signage and tables would go a long way. read more

If you're desperate for a donut it will get you by. Definitely not a place I'd go back to. The donuts were either old or fried in old oil. Very dry and my daughter commented that they looked like grocery store donuts. On the positive side, it looks like a family business and a sweet little girl helped get our donuts. read more

Great old fashioned donut shop in Auburn. I only visit here 2 to 3 times a year but DNR has the best donuts in town. It has been a family favorite since we all decided donuts are part of a balanced, breakfast, lunch or dinner... Im serious... Their donuts are on point. Never got a stale donut here yet. Prices went up a little bit recently but still worth it. Try the maple twist, better than the regular bar and if you get it fresh it melts in your mouth. The cinnamon rolls are excellent. Wanted the last two blueberry donuts and the guy said he had fresh ones in the back and hooked it up with some of those. Yummy! read more

I never thought I'd be WOWED by another donut shop...I have been loyal to my local donut shop for 30+ years. My hubby's co-worker brought some donuts to work and he brought two home for me. My expectations we not high as they had been sitting in his lunch cooler for 12+ hours. I took a piece off the old-fashioned glazed donut and I was BLOWN AWAY with how good it was...so good that I ate the whole damn thing, and then I turned my attention to the crumb-cake donut, which was equally as delicious! The next day I asked my two youngest kids if they wanted to go for a hike in Auburn that Saturday...AND stop by Dunk N Run for some donuts. It was a HELL YEA all around! We headed to Dunk N Run this past Saturday and we were not disappointed. Not only were each and every donut we picked out heavenly, the gal assisting us could not have been nicer. Along with throwing in the extra bakers dozen donut, while sitting outside enjoying our donuts, the gal came out to us and gifted us with another complimentary donut. I would recommend this place to anyone. The donuts are so tasty, the customer service is great, and the environment is quiet and relaxed. They open really early in the morning and it's right off hwy 49, so it's the perfect place to stop and get a sugary breakfast (or a ham and cheese croissant) before work. I should've known better, it didn't smell like fresh baked donuts and the kitchen was dark. The donut was hard and stale, the chocolate was soggy and soaking into the donut. read more

Stopped by here on our way to the Foresthill Bridge and was extremely impressed by the service! We were there just after 6am and had some yummy fresh donuts! When we told the owner we were heading to the bridge for a short morning hike she recommended some other places we didn't know about with beautiful scenery and we went to one of them (The Quarry Trail) and enjoyed it a lot! I tried a few of the donuts and really liked the custard filled chocolate one, the custard is very delicious! My husband had the maple bacon and keeps raving about it. We'll definitely stop by here again when we head hiking or running again! read more
