Absolutely amazing! The donuts are always fresh and taste delicious!!! I go here on a regular basis and I've NEVER experienced an issue. Very friendly staff, but worst donuts I've ever had. My six year old son didn't even finish his and that's unheard of. They were very greasy and stale. The frosting was even weird and left a bad taste. read more

I wouldn't even call this a donut shop. There selection is trash. They only had a few donuts. They have a big area to allow much more. They didn't even have donut holes... You might have a better selection going to a gas station or a grocery store. read more

It seems like this is the only donut shop on Auburn, so you cant be picky. The selections are minimal, compared to other places in other cities, but it's not bad. The sitting area is pretty big, so I'm sure that there a lot of people that show up to hang out with their friends. They open early enough, so that seems right for a donut shop. I'm just glad that there's at least one in Auburn vs. having to get just a few at the grocery store. read more

Absolutely amazing donut shop! The donuts are made to perfection, every bite filled with delectable flavor. My favorite are the maple bars. They're just so soft and perfectly glazed with the maple sauce. If you're in Auburn, it's a must stop! The wonderful owners are the cherry on top. They're very accommodating and super friendly. Best customer service and AMAZING donuts! The earlier you can get there, the better! The maple bars are our favorite; lightly crispy on the outside soft and fluffy on the inside and the perfect amount of tasty maple glaze on top. We've been to Dunk n Run several times, as they're the only donut shop in town, as far as I know. I think they also supply donuts for our large Auburn church every Sunday. We really like their donuts and don't quite get the negative reviews. We've never tried any of their other menu items. I sure hope others won't be swayed by the downer comments and will give them a try. In this day and age it's nice to support small business. Wouldn't it be awful to have a Wenchell's with their miniature, overpriced donuts as our only shop in town? :) read more

The donuts are good here. My favorite are the French crullers which are sometimes hard to find at other donut shops.

Not many places for donuts in the area. This place is not good. I couldn't finish the powder donut. I'm not surprised if it was two days old. Very soggy. They do have big huge donuts. If it wasn't for those I would have given them a 1 star. Go down to Roseville for better donuts., read more

I have lived in the Auburn for only two years, having come up from the San Francisco Peninsula. There are no doughnut shops in the area, except this one. The prices are varied, and I never seem to pay the same. I have had stale and under cooked pastries; I'm not sure they make their own. I am spoiled by the competitive businesses on the Peninsula; here its "take it or leave it." There is no bakery, unless you consider Safeway a bakery; especially one that has breakfast pastry, or rolls. With all the retired people up here, I'd expect some good old fashioned bakeries. read more

Went into this Donut shop before 10 am and they only had about s dozen donuts left. Had to order a cinnamon roll and a chocolate donut. Both were extremely dry and stale like they were made days ago! The place looks like it's stuck in 70s. Old faded posters and menu. The interior doesn't seem to have changed in 40 years and doesn't look clean or organized. I can't believe they could run a crappy donut business like this and stay open. Of course it seems to be the only one in Auburn, CA. Which is probably the only reason they can afford to stay open! This is my favorite donut shop in Sacramento area of all time. The very friendly faces greeting us in was very nice. They have so many donuts to chose from! From glazed to filled. So many choices:) if you're ever in the auburn area, grab a box of donuts and explore the beautiful historical little town:) defiantly going back there soon. read more

Stopped in today BEFORE 9 am as I've been wanting to check out this donut shop for a while now. They had an extremely limited selection and there were two older people awkwardly fighting over the last donut with nuts on top. +1 star for the friendly younger gentleman at the counter who was apologetic. I picked up donuts to bring to work Saturday morning and was very pleased. We get donuts every other Saturday, and my whole team agreed that out of the last 4 places these donuts were by far the BEST! Every flavor was fresh and delicious. I saw this little donut shop as I was driving past by their trucks parked out front. The lady inside was nice and I ordered two dozen donuts to bring to work. Careful! Only certain donuts are within the dozen price and they charge you .50 if you use your ATM card!! As she was boxing them they looked a bit stiff so I made sure they were all made that morning which she said yes they were. When I got them to work, they were hard as a rock!! Great selection but make sure you really inspect them for freshness and remember to bring cash!! read more

My children said they never want to go back. I brought them to this establishment for a special treat. The lady behind the counter was impatient and unfriendly as we ordered. We wanted to get two donut holes in addition to the two donuts we were ordering, but we were told that was not possible. They only came in orders of 6 or 12. My 10 year old asked why she couldn't have just charged us 1/3 of the price of the 6 donut holes, but apparently that is not allowed. When my son went to wash his hands in the sink, the lady yelled, "What do you think you are doing!" Apparently the sink is only for employees, yet has a clear path and sits off to the side of what looks to be a self-serve hot chocolate bar. I apologized to her for the misunderstanding. In the end, our special outing was ruined. My children said they never want to go back. I'm giving them one star for serving a decent donut. read more

I went to the Dunk 'n' run donuts early Sunday morning about an hour after they had been open. I asked if they were made this morning, because they looked old. the lady behind the counter assured me they were fresh. When we got home and i took one bite out of the chocolate doughnut and had to spit it OUT!!!! it tasted horrible!!! Stale and OLD!!! The the lady was rude and mean to my three year old daughter and I!!! The lady over charged me. I got Four donuts and she charged me 4.50. (and keep in mind i got a regular chocolate round, a maple round, a small sprinkle and one custard doughnut.) The grocery stores don't even charged that much for their donuts. Save your time and your money and DON'T GO TO Dunk 'n' Run Donuts!!! Maybe if they change owners or get new employees i might some day go back, but in til then I will NEVER go there again!! WORST place ever to go get donuts!!! read more
