Ooooh Lord! Did I just die and go to heaven? How gorgeous is it in here!? First off, I pulled in to the parking lot in front of Dunk 'n' Run Donuts and the woman working inside was smiling at me before I even got out of my car. I walked in at about 12:30 today. As I walked in, the showcase was about half full. I mean, 12:30 is kind of late to come and get donuts, however, there was still plenty of goodies for me!! After talking with Laura, I couldn't decide what I was going to get...Iwas actually here for just a couple of fashions, but after seeing the other options... how beautiful they were. They got me. Dunk 'n' Run Donuts reeled me in! So, how am I supposed to pick just a couple of old fashions? These donuts were sparkling at me! They had a beautiful glossiness to them. They were colorful! Vibrant! My eyes were absolutely eating first. The person that decorated them has major culinary skills... these were almost too pretty to eat! Ok, ok! We're talkin Creme Brule! Dubai! PB&J! Banana cream, Kinder's... and yes! I also got my family's favorite, the old fashion donut. The price for a dozen? $20.75, PLUS... extra for the gorgeous filled donuts. A whopping $42+ for this dozen donuts was quite the shock... is that the norm? Laura is so sweet and very fun to talk to. I hope I run into her again! Maybe next time, I will have a seat inside and order a cup of coffee with my donut. Let's dive into what I thought... Dubai Donut I like that they are keeping up with the trendy Dubai chocolate that's poppin all over. This one was filled with real pistachio cream!!! The top is dipped in dark chocolate.. thick chocolate, drizzled with green, and dusted with crumbs. It was so decadent. Creamy... sinful. It was not too sweet and then it was fudge and buttery at the same time. PB&J Peanut butter on top, with a dollop of white frosting and jam, filled with strawberry jam. This one was very sweet. After this one, I could've been done. Creme Brule This one has a dark caramelized color with a crispy top with a single raspberry, it has a cream filled center.. was it vanilla bean? It was soft, creamy, and crunchy all at the same time. I'm in the middle in this one. Kinder's This was a playful donut. Chocolaty top with a couple of Kinders crunchy pieces. The inside was filled with Nutella. This one is very sweet and if you love Nutella, this is the donut for you! Banana Cream It had creamy frosting in top with a banana chip and nilla waffer, with the tiniest mint leaf. The center was like banana cream.. maybe made with a banana liqueur? This one was so good! I loved the touch of the mint with banana flavor... but I'm not a banana chip fan. The old fashion donuts were perfectly delicious. They are simple compared to the donuts I described above, but sometimes, simple is better. These have a shiny chocolate, with crispy jagged edges. To me, they have the perfect frosting to donut ratio. Overall, I really enjoyed the dozen donuts I bought at Dunk 'n' Run. Out of the new ones I tried, I would have to say the Dubai Donut was a 10/10. I felt like the customer service was above and beyond. Laura is very sweet and fun to talk to. Was it worth a whopping price of $42+? Yes. The real pistachio cream is a hit. This isn't your average donut at some donut shop. Stopped in on a Sunday. The place was quiet. Well stocked with many options. They had your basic donuts and some fancy options. Paid around $20 for a dozen regular donuts which I felt was fair. I only needed a few so I went for a maple old fashion, chocolate raised, and one of their special new years donuts. The old fashion was good, the special donut was great and super fresh. Okay this place deserves a standing ovation. I placed an order for my wedding a few weeks in advance. On my actual wedding day, I completely spaced in making sure someone would pick up the donuts. They called me at time of closing and were kind enough to stay open until someone was able to get out there. Putting 5 stars for now so we don't impact the rating but mainly leaving this here as a note for others who are looking to try the fancy craft donuts you may see pictures of here like the berry, the biscoff, or the pistachio. We live in Roseville and had about a 25 min drive to arrive only to find out they only make these donuts Friday-Sunday and a limited amount. They recomend getting there before 9am if you want to try these special donuts. Their website is bare bones and doesn't provide this info so I'm providing it here to help others. I made an U turn to backtrack to the shop. Even though it was past the posted hours of operation, the neon open sign was still flashing. Customers were still buzzing in n out. The young woman working the counter was welcoming. Very patient with everyone and not rushing them through. Great customer service! There wasn't a lot of raised donuts left. So I landed on getting four different kinds of cake donuts. Gorgeous looking... all sitting pretty. They were the best cake donuts I've eaten in a long time. Dense, interior. Mmm. Delicious! Fresh tasting. The icing was perfect. Not sticky, gooey. Not hard that at one bite it cracks right off. Perfect consistency, plus not too sweet. Another cool thing about the shop is it's interior. It has old bones. They have an old fashion diner counter and swivel chairs for eating in. Score! The donuts are kept in a glass case and in baskets on an open shelf. Their donuts are delicious. My issue is, the pricing. If I go there and buy between 5 to 6 doughnuts I am paying close to $20. Hear me out. Last visit, I got 6 donuts. So the baseline for a half dozen (I have the receipt in my paperwork somewhere) is around $10. But then I got up charged around $1.40 on top of this for each choice I had made. I had ordered, are you ready? A glazed French a chocolate French a maple French an old fashioned glazed an old fashioned chocolate and then a sugar dusted twisted bar with no filling. Total was I think $18.98. I walk in hungry and walk out feeling dumb. Yes. Consistently. But they have good donuts!I always get confused when I purchase there. Coffee is really good. The campfire blend is great. I heard the girl behind the counter tell someone the stronger blend of coffee was the other brew beside campfire blend but obviously campfire blend is the strongest darkest of their brewed coffee. I am obviously very much craving donuts right now and it's raining outside. I am wondering if the owner(s) are willing to pop on here and explain pricing. I'm talking for each donut type, plus croissants. One time I went there specifically to get the ham and cheese and I was told they only had cheese I think and I didn't even know they had that. This donut shop has decent donuts, but they nickel and dime you, and their listed prices are not accurate. First, we ordered 2 ham and cheese croissants (they don't do egg) which were listed as $6.75 each, but they rung up as $7.02 each. Next we ordered half a dozen donuts, which was listed as $10.35, but because we chose donuts other than the plain round ones, we were charged an additional $1.04 per donut. Even their unfilled chocolate bars and maple bars were considered a "fancy" donut with an additional charge. And all of these extra charges were before taxes were added. We don't do donuts often, but we will probably try a different donut shop next time. I really don't appreciate companies that lie about their pricing and nickel and dime you to death. read more

Been going to this place for a long time, but their newest craft donuts are to die for. They are now being made WEDNESDAY-SUNDAY! They hope to make them daily in the near future, and I can't wait for that day to come. My favorite is the pistachio, but you can't go wrong with any of the flavors, they're all delicious. Also, you can't beat the classics (they've got the best apple fritter and old fashioned). We just had their new craft donuts and all I can say is WOW!! so delicious! the strawberry and peach have a little tang from the fruit and it goes so well with the sweet donut. Disappointed is an understatement. I put in an order for 3 dozen donuts two weeks before my baby shower. 3 different types of donuts all with blue icing/frosting since I'm having a boy. I told them when I ordered the donuts that I would need to pick them up the morning of my baby shower. I even asked if they would be ready as early as 7 am that day and they ensured me they would. 3 days prior to my shower I called to make sure the order would still be ready at the right time and they had not forgotten. Everything was good. A day before my baby shower I received a call to clarify the order I had placed. I even have a text message agreeing on the order. I come in the next morning to pick up my order before the shower. She told me that they did not have the order ready and hadn't even started on it. And that it wouldn't be ready till after 12pm that day. They did not offer to find a solution such as deliver them. Donuts were ok. Good selection later in the morning, but in my opinion the yeasted donuts are pretty greasy and it lingered after I ate one. Not the most pleasant feeling. But the staff were very nice and it's a pleasant atmosphere inside. Maybe earlier in the morning, when the donuts are more fresh, the grease is less noticeable. But not my favorite. I'm writing this in hopes that the owners will see it. I would like to start by saying that this donut shop is great. Clean. Friendly staff. Great drip coffee from the local third wave coffee shop. Cute interior. The glazes they use are flavored really well and they're to die for. My one issue is that the donuts are always SO greasy. Like linger on the roof of my mouth, leave a residue for a long time kind of greasy. I'm wondering if maybe their oil isn't hot enough to fry them quickly enough that it doesn't just soak into the donut? I'm not sure what it is but it makes me sad.
