Stratecella toast and watermelon salad

If you love seafood and aren't afraid of trying creative dishes, this is the spot for you. Dune's menu is ever evolving and always uses fresh ingredients. The fish was outstanding quality and the use of contrasting flavors in each dish was completely unique to Dune. I eagerly anticipated each dish, we just had to order the entire menu. The hostesses and our waiter were all kind, personable, and worked quickly. We came 30 minutes earlier than our reservation and they were able to accommodate us. The outdoor seating is beautiful and floral, the tent is a canopy of faux vines that I personally find charming. Highly recommend coming here more than once if you visit nantucket.

When you come to Nantucket, one must expect to drop some coin when going out to dinner and such is the case at Dune, but at least it's good! We sat at the bar as they were booked for the night. :: Side note: we did arrive at about 5:30 and the bar was empty, but at about 6:30 it was full:: We enjoyed a few appetizers, some drinks and dinner. Dune is lovely. A bit modern, so not for those looking for that Nantucket rustic charm. But still lovely. The gazpacho with crab was fine. I wouldn't order again. The dumplings while delicious, were pricy for the amount of dumplings. My halibut ringing in at close to $50, was delicious. My friend laughed and said she was expecting me to get an even smaller piece, but by no means was this a large piece of fish. But it was cooked well and in a coconut milk sauce with some potatoes and veggies. My friends piece of duck was a nice size, and she absolutely raved. We had a few delicious cocktails and called it a day. The bartender was friendly and we had a good time! Not a cheap endeavor and you won't leave full, but the food was good and fresh!

Really enjoyed Dune. I thought the menu did a great job of combining different flavors into each plate, and would recommend to anyone coming to Nantucket for a nice meal on the town

Oysters and pork/mushroom dumplings.

This was our first time coming here. The food was delicious, but the service was not good, which is why I am giving it 3 stars. Our server hardly ever checked on us and we felt more like an "afterthought" table. He didn't even offer to refill our cocktails even once. The food was incredibly tasty though, so compliments to the chef. The dumplings were amazing as a starter. Both dishes we got were incredibly flavorful and fresh. I would be willing to come again in hopes we get a better server next time since the food was so good. Wish our tip could have gone to the chef!

It would be hard to find a restaurant that has worked harder to accommodate social distancing and indoor outdoor options. The wait staff and hostesses are communicating so well and sensitive to all requests. The food is beyond divine and unique with many vegetarian options. I had the mushroom risotto that was full of mushrooms as so creamy I want to go back tomorrow! I also had the tuna tartar that was beautifully presented and made with crispy bits inside. A perfect combination of flavors and textures. And for dessert a pot of chocolate that was topped with fresh whipped cream and chocolate bits. Oh my goodness!!! Where has this restaurant been all my life. Sheer heaven!!!

Lemon olive oil cake (special)

Came here without a reservation since we could not get one, but got lucky. We were only visiting Nantucket for a few nights and this place was on my list. They have a very nice outdoor and another covered patio for dining. They have specials so ask the waiter! We ordered the calamari, mozzarella & tomato salad, the pork belly (special), and oysters. The pork belly was cooked alongside a mole sauce and it was amazing! For dinner we shared the swordfish and it was cooked to perfection. It melted in our mouths and the Greek "salad" underneath it was so flavorful. Definitely recommend this place if you can get a reservation or get lucky with a walk in.

Grilled Kurobuta Pork Chop

Dune was by far my favorite dinner on the island. Each dish was absolutely superb. We dined here twice, once inside and once at the outside bar for just drinks & apps. I would highly recommend putting Dune on your to do list while here on the island. Can't wait to be back!

Upstairs there a barroom and a couple of dining rooms. I would not imagine they could have so much seating. I had the octopus and pot belly. The octopus was tender. And lastly, 3) the food. While meals historically have been a mixed bag, the food overall is a sure bet. Additionally, I love that the Oran Mor is more of an older crowd. I'm in my hanging with a 65 year old+ chic granny more than a 20 something year old influencer era. Ok, some more details. My batched cocktail off the menu was great - the cherry rickey. I love all things cherry and this hit home with a perfect mix of cherry and boozy flavors. We went with the snail app, the special crab pasta and the potato crusted fish. The crab pasta was solid, with the pasta being cooked perfectly. A tad bland, but that could just be the dish was more focused on that crab vs heavy seasoning. The fish was delicious, but disappointment came in with the sides. Sides are usually my favorite part of any dish, and the eggplant was burnt and ultimately kind of inedible and the veggie medley or whatever it was, was indeed a bit sad and underwhelming. My husband and I both were like womp womp. Even the additionally ordered creamed spinach was more of a creamy spinach soup vs spinach which we also would not order again. No dessert because Juice Bar be like around the corner. :) Service was great. We have been seated in the dining room and by the bar, and I appreciate both vibes. Overall, solid. Nantucket dining can be hit or miss with rezzies hard to find, so if Oran Mor is a possibility, I don't think you'll be disappointed (maybe just with the sides!).

No reservations and early season, we had no problem snagging a table for 2. However, a friend recently shared they were told a 45 minute wait the other day. Heads up, while no kids menu, they did say they had a secret one - I'm imagining coming from so many families popping in. The burger as was $18 and a double patty with no toppings and homemade chips. The chowder was also really good with I believe some pork in there. It's been a minute, so I'm a little rusty. Service was great and kind. I didn't order any cocktails, but they did look small for the price - they may be bottled? I could be lying there. I saw a many a fried seafood and fries platter go by and they looked so good and fresh and crispy, in the best way possible. Overall, five star addition! I'm sure the lines have begun, but it's worthy of a wait, especially over at the Gazebo, so perfectly convenient. Ps: they also have a retail portion but I did not pay much attention to that side.

The outside beer area had alcohol drinks as well. 2 of us had tequila drinks, and 2 tried the beers. We were all really happy with our choices. All of the food there came from food trucks, and there were a lot of random vendors, which made it a fun, unique experience! All of our food and drinks were great. I also bought a few hats- the hat selection was really good from the band and the brewery. They also had a shop along with the other vendors who were set up. We stayed longer than expected- the first band (Grateful Dead cover band) was amazing, so we stayed to check out the second band (who were really good also). We eventually gave up our seats under the tent to some very happy people! We will definitely go back to the Cisco brewery the next time we're in Nantucket- it was a great experience all around! Everyone we encountered- whether they worked there, or weee there for fun were very nice and friendly. But of the "pricey" options on the Cape, we definitely feel this is still the best. It's up to each person to decide whether any of these fine dining/pricey options are worth the premium over the cost of dining at the many "nice " restaurants on the Cape. We will return.
