It had a pizza dough topper that was puffed up with the clams, linguica & broth nice and steamy underneath. It was an amazing preparation and the dough helped tame some of the spiciness from the linguica. We all said we would come back. I would give this restaurant a solid 4.5 stars as the refill of our water was a big sluggish. Since you cannot rate in 1/2 star increments, I gave it a 5.

Honestly, she's the reason this gets two stars. Unfortunately, that's about where the positives ended for us. The food selection was extremely limited--the entire menu was basically one page, and after looking it over, there really wasn't anything we felt was worth ordering. The beer selection was just as disappointing. What's frustrating is that this place could easily be a 5-star local spot. It's dog-friendly, affordable, and we had genuinely friendly service. But you still need to give people a reason to stay, eat, and have a few beers. Expand the food menu, improve the beer selection, and Saunders Landing could be a place we'd come back to regularly. Right now, unfortunately, it's a 2-star experience saved by a really nice waitress.

Arf Arf! Absolutely loved the Dune Dog Cafe in Stuart. I was looking for a place to treat my lady friend to a nice fish sandwich, and we found it. The original crunchy fish sandwich was delicious. That paired with a couple of ice cold beers and the beachy Key West decor led to a most delightful dining experience. The staff was very courteous and polite, and even complimented my lady friend's blouse, which was lovely. We'll certainly be back soon! read more

Hot diggity dog! I have been driving down from Stuart to Dune Dog in Jupiter for years to enjoy a little taste of Old Jupiter. Imagine my surprise and excitement when Dune Dog opened up in my own backyard. They have the friendliest staff and so much more than great hot dogs(definitely try the waffle fries and dolphins Reuben). Cheers to hoping Dune Dog has a 20+year run in Stuart, like they have in Jupiter. read more

You can seat yourself anywhere for lunch under the big grass roof or under some accompanying umbrella tables. Servers came by quickly and were attentive to order details. Drink wise I got a classic Arnold Palmer for one visit, and a Virgin pina colada for the other. Both were good! I like my Arny P less sweet, and I love my pina coladas with a good amount of pineapple. For lunch the first time I got the Philly with the pineapple slaw, which is really something different compared to wherever else you can get a Philly. There wasn't a lot of slaw on my sandwich but it was just enough to brighten up the sandwich. The second time I got the chicken Philly, which has your classic fixings just with chicken instead. Fries on the side both times are delicious! Nice and crispy on the outside but fluffy on the inside. One standout memory I have is that my mom wanted a loaded fries that was more vegetable than meat which isn't on the menu. However, they were able to accommodate this and delivered very well to her liking! I remember when Philly Down South was just the food truck and a couple of umbrella tables. My mom says that every time she visits Philly Down South, it seems to get a little larger. I love the current grass hut ambiance that even features a stage for some live music! In my opinion, they should be the prime dining option at Stuart beach. Bathrooms for Philly Down South are really the Elliot Museum's, so make sure to bring proper coverups and footwear if you're coming from the beach. Can't wait to come again when I next visit Stuart!

I just wasn't having it - the owner said he would look into it but also when I place to go orders I make the tip an exact even amount - whatever total they put into the system they added a $10+ tip... that was falsely put into the system by whoever put the ticket in. That is theft. I truly hope he got down to the bottom of this I have worked in the restaurant industry and met people who do add extra tip- since (from what I was told by othermost people don't notice and it's not a big amount- thus why I always make to an even amount on the check. There is some shady people out there unfortunately..
