I was referred to this auto repair business by my wife's coworker. She said she had been going to them for years and was extremely happy. So I thought I'd give them a try and I was very satisfied with the service. They did my front and back brakes on my 2000 4WD Tahoe. The work was described clearly to me and the quote clear also. The final cost was slightly higher then the quote but I knew ahead of time that it might be as they indicated the back rotors may need to be replaced if they could not be smoothed out. But to keep the cost down they charged me their cost for the back rotors. Your don't hear of many auto repair places doing that for big ticket items. Anyhow, I would definitely give Duncan's a try as they are fast, reliable and honest and offer good value in their service. read more

Brian was so great at getting my car looked at in a timely manner. Very honest and informative as well. Everything he did was explained thoroughly to me. I highly recommend this place to everyone and will definitely be referring my whole family here!! read more

Our family has been going to Duncan Auto for over 7 years. Duane, Gregg, and Chris are an amazing team. Reasonable prices. Honest work and they treat you like family. When I purchased a used sports car I took it to Gregg and he looked it over, gave it an ok mechanical bill of health then had me find a specialist for it as he wasn't comfortable working on its electronics. A less honest mechanic would have taken the free paychecks to learn things but not Gregg. read more

Just had my brakes done by Brian. He was honest about the condition of my brakes and said I could wait a little. But, decided to do anyway. My 3rd time here and they are very honest, good work and good prices. I will come back again for sure. read more

BEST AUTO SHOP IN THE OC! Took my Honda Civic to a certified Honda dealer and the head mechanic couldn't even figure how to fix my AC. WHEN I took it to Duncan, they were able to fix it in a snap! Thanks Brian. Now driving will be much more comfortable. What are you waiting for yelpers, you found your new auto shop! Fist review here and I have been going to Duncan for 25 years, granted I'm 25 but my father has been coming here before I was born. read more

Quick, courteous, professional. I've had a variety of work done from bolt-on installations to basic maintenance and completely satisfied with work done. The only auto shop in town you will ever need for service, honest work and pricing. read more

I've had a low groaning noise emanating from what I suspected was a faulty rear wheel bearing. Thee noise gets gradually louder as I go over 35mph. I've brought it to Pep Boys before, but they (for whatever reason) couldn't find the problem and couldn't help me with it. Today I decided, I would give another Auto Service garage a chance. I looked up Duncan's and read some reviews and decided to call for an appointment this morning. Greg picked up the phone, and I told him my car's issues. To my delight, Greg told me didn't need to book an appointment for today and that he'd take a look at the problem with me. Once I got there, Greg hopped in the car with me for a test drive. Right away, he knew it was actually one of the rear wheel bearings, just as I suspected. We got back to the garage, and he gave me a couple of options on how to fix the problem. He wanted to give me the best possible solution that I could afford. I opted to go with the more slightly pricey option in regards to purchasing the better quality part. I left my keys with them, and I didn't expect to get a call back until Monday, but to my delight, Brian called me back a few hours later! He explained what they did, and afterwards my wife dropped me off to pick up my car. At the shop, Brian showed me the faulty worn out bearing, and he gave me some feedback in regards to a minor oil leak and pulsating brakes, which I mentioned earlier to Greg. Needless to say, I am happy with he service I got! Their price for labor seems fair too, considering they inspected my car for free, while the dealership wanted to charge me $189 just for an inspection! I will most likely come back here. I highly recommend them! read more

I can't say enough good about these guys. They are helpful, friendly, trustworthy, skilled, and hardworking. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a fair and reliable mechanic. read more

BEST AUTO SERVICE COMPANY IN OC!!! Our neighbors used Duncan's for years and referred us to them. We went today and I can tell you for certain, we won't be going anywhere else again. Brian is AMAZING! It's not often that you can say you really "like" your mechanic"; Brian is truly a pleasure. Prior to today we took our Tahoe to Selman Chevrolet. The service guys were RUDE, arrogant, and they over-charge for everything. We are so grateful to have found Duncan's and Brian. From here on out, we know our vehicles will be in the very best of hands. If we could give more than 5-stars, we would. read more

Not a problem they couldn't do a thing with. Service in a timely manner. That's for over 25 years of service to us. Updated knowledgeable folk. You're going to thank me for using Duncan's. read more

I've taken my car to these guys over the last two years. They do an excellent job and don't try to sell unnecessary services. Today on my way to work I got a screw in my tire. I took it over to Duncan and Greg took out the screw and patched it in 10 minutes. Charged me 10 bucks. I gave him 20 bucks for his excellent service! If you need a good honest mechanic I highly recommend these guys. read more

Wish you could add more Stars Honest. Reliable. Knowledgeable. Probably the only authentic and genuine mechanics around that still hold values and appreciate the customer and their vehicle as if it were their own or families, it's crazy. I honestly love these guys and the crew, have never had ANY issues. Fair & great prices. You go in for a routine and they'll tell you everything they noticed and inspected while going over your vehicle so that you're not back the next day or week with more issues. They catch it all in time and give you heads up. So cool. Go here, you can't go wrong. You'll never think twice in the future of bringing your car or truck in for any little noise or simple oil change. read more

I have been coming here for years. Greg and Duane are the nicest people. They explain any problems your car is having and try to find the most economical way to solve the problem. Their work is good and they will make recommendations, but are not at all pushy. I highly recommend Duncan's if you are looking for an honest place to get your car serviced or repaired. read more

My family and I were driving to Orange County from Sacramento when we ran over some rubber from a big rig tire. All of a sudden the car started making a terrible metal-on-metal grinding noise. Panicking we looked up Duncan's Auto on yelp and called them to explain the issue. They told us to come right on in and they would immediately take a look. Within 15 minutes they had diagnosed and fixed the issue, all for a minimal charge. Everyone was professional and courteous, as well as sincerely sympathetic to our situation. Since we don't live in Southern California, I doubt we will ever patron their shop again, but I highly recommend them to anyone that does live out there. Thanks again Duncan's Auto!!! read more

So being a victim of shitty service from a ford dealership .. Finding a place to help on such short notice was kind of impossible ,until I came across this place . The staff where not only super nice and helpful . They didn't take advantage of you and make u pay for a bunch of bs your car didn't need . I felt like they went up and beyond to help me . I also liked that they were so thorough and if I had any other issues that would be able to help me. It was also cool for them to give me mini lesson about my car as well :) since I like to know everything that's going on :p .. So if You want honest mechanics..I would highly recommend this place .. Thanks again read more

Went to Duncan to have a fan belt replaced, work was performed with no issues. When my daughter brought the car home, there was a big scrape and dent down the drivers side door, she did not see it while there as one of Greg's employees opened the car door for her when she got in. There is only 2 places this could have happened, work or at Duncan. We had security go over the parking lot video at work, and it did not happen there. Called Greg and he said it was parked near a wall and chain link fence. I know Greg is an honest man, but I'm not sold on other people that work there. I believe this happened at Duncan by of his employees. read more

This was, by far, my greatest experience with an auto shop. Brian was friendly, knowledgable, and fixed my car in warp speed. It hasn't run this well since I've had it. I never do Yelp reviews, but I felt compelled to do one here, just because they are so amazing. I cannot give Duncan's a higher recommendation. If you need a reliable mechanic, you have to check these guys out! If you already have a reliable mechanic, come here instead. There is none better! read more

This place was highly recommended by the Facebook page ORANGE BUZZ, I took my car there yesterday and I had the opportunity to meet the owner, I only had an oil change but they informed me of other issues with the car, but they did not over sold me or pressure me to get it done. I also did not have a ride to my office and Brian, the son gladly gave me a ride to my office in Orange. I now highly recommend them, wonderful, friendly, honest and very reasonable on their prices. read more

My wife and I have been using their services for about 10 years and never once have I been dissatisfied or even questioned their work or recommendations. Greg and Duane are always upfront in explaining what other work may be needed after pulling things apart. Like most, I normally hate dealing with auto mechanics, and I try to avoid them as much as possible. It's not easy to find a shop you can trust. Yesterday, however, I found this place on Yelp, and they have already made a loyal customer out of me. I needed an idler pulley replaced, and Brian quoted me a fair price, but I assumed they would inevitably find something else to charge me hundreds of dollars for, as most mechanics tend to do. Not at all. Duane replaced the pulley, told me everything else looked good, and charged me HALF of the original quote. Seriously. I rarely leave reviews, and I wish this didn't sound like an ad for them, but this was the best experience I've ever had with an auto mechanic. Give them a shot if you're anywhere near Orange. read more

I trust these guys with every car I have. When my family moved to LA, they drove the extra hours to bring their cars here My girlfriend's family recommended them to me and I have since recommended them to everyone I know. These are good people that remember you and your car and they care about how you specifically treat it (Whether that be cheap like me, or expensive like my dad) I tend to do most of the preventative maintenance on my vehicles but I know that when something goes wrong on my girlfriend's car I can send her in and all she has to do is let them know what's going on, they look at it, fix it and give us a fair price and a reason for all of the work. WE HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM HERE FOR 6 YEARS!!! One time, my girlfriend mentioned that I like to do the routine work on her car when they changed the fuel filter or something without asking first (it needed it real bad) so they took off $10 and they have always been so good about calling us ever since. I have never been more happy with a mechanic and will go here as long as I live in Southern California. read more
