Came here for lunch with my boyfriend since it was really close to his place and he was curious. We ordered the wonton soup, braised pork belly Taiwanese bun, and three different dumpling dishes (pork and cabbage, pork and chives, chicken with Sichuan sauce). I thought the service was very friendly and the food came quickly. One potential problem is that they don't have wi-fi and I couldn't get data so that could be bad if you're in the habit of being on your phone while eating I guess? Food: Braised pork belly Taiwanese bun: My boyfriend and I thought this was pretty good. The meat was quite thick, and the taste I think is similar to others I've had in the past. Wonton soup: We liked the soup more. The wontons were a bit dry even with the soup and didn't have much meat. Pork and cabbage: I can't remember what exactly the called it on the menu but it was a potsticker. Had the least dry meat out of all the dumpling dishes. Pork and chive dumpling: Our favorite, in my case because I love chives. Not the best I've had, but it still tasted good. A bit dry, but I was okay with it because I usually prefer less oil. Chicken with sichuan sauce: A petite dumpling. The sauce tasted sweet to me and the chicken meat was really dry. To be fair, chicken is usually dry I think. Especially if there's a chunk of it all together. My least favorite of what we ordered. Overall, I think it was a decent dumping place. My boyfriend said 3 stars and I said 4, so compromise to 3.5 and round up to 4. read more

Dumpling Daughter Weston should not have 4 Yelp stars. It is literally 50/50 on delicious vs just don't. Every steam bun(we tried every flavor option) is a globe of dough with a morsel of flavorless filling. Not well seasoned. Not worth it. The crispy noodles were definitely stale. The flavor of the donuts should be listed simply as grease. We took one bite and tossed the rest unfortunately. The wonton soup was just okay, but Lipton Ringos are better. The vegetable sides are all wonderful. Loved the sprouts. Green beans were fresh and not over cooked as was the bok choy. Scallion pancake was good.The Thai chicken bun was so delicious- chicken crispy and well cooked, tasty sauce. Dumplings were good, not the best, but worth saving for leftovers at least. Great staff who are definitely working their butts off to provide good service. I wish the food had more flavor overall. My son had recently seen a ramen restaurant on Phantom Gourmet and asked if we could try it sometime. Then I saw that Dumpling Daughter had received 5 stars for its ramen, and since I had been dying to try DD since it opened it was a go. We went on a Saturday around 1:30pm and were pleased to see a few tables were available. I had studied the menu at length since they had opened so I was familiar with it, and my son had already decided upon 3 day pork ramen. I am not sure what my husband had expected, but he wasn't as excited as we were. Nevertheless we got in line to order and he ordered some dumplings and 3 day pork buns. I got Dan Dan noodles and some smaller meat buns. While my husband was surprised by the final bill, I thought the prices were reasonable given the quality of the food. My noodles were AMAZING and my son was thrilled with his ramen. The dumplings and buns were also delicious, but 3 day pork must be expensive to make because those prices were highest. The owner came by and asked how everything was, so it was nice to see that she cared about her guests. We never expected to find such a wonderful place in Weston. It was a late lunch so the place wasn't packed. We found a table towards the back. The bookshelves that lined the wall had Asian cookbooks and other books of interest. I went up to the counter to find out what the specials were. The owner, Nadia, was very friendly and we chatted while waiting for the rest of our party. Based on Nadia's recommendations, these were what we sampled: 1) shrimp dumplings, 2) pan-seared pork & napa cabbage dumplings, 3) steamed BBQ pork buns, 4) braised pork belly Taiwanese buns, 5) chicken dumplings in Sichuan sauce, 6) pan-seared Shanghainese pork buns, 7) lotus leaf wrapped sticky rice with pork and 8) Dan Dan mien. Nadia also brought us a scallion pancake beef wrap and dessert on the house. Everything was served fast & hot and they were all delicious. Ummmm I cannot believe it took me so long to go here. I am sitting in the restaurant writing my review. That's how impressed I am. I ordered the 3 day pork ramen and the chicken and cabbage dumplings. A lot of food just for me but looking at the menu I just couldn't try one thing. I also got a mango bubble tea. Starting with the dumpling I ordered them steamed. So soft and flavorful. I honestly haven't had dumplings like this in forever. The ramen was beyond yummy. They added a few ribbons of ginger to the broth and it just takes the flavor up a notch. I really don't usually eat pork but the pork belly was so thick and soft. I had to take a couple of bites. I am so impressed I can't wait to come back and try the rest of the food. I don't usually drink milk bubble tea and so I was a little disappointed when mine came out and I hadn't realized it was milk tea but again it was extremely tasty not too sweet and the bubbles were just the right consistency. So disappointed in this place! My husband and I got here after hearing rave reviews about it. The restaurant looks nice, clean, bright and promising. Unfortunately, the food was such a let down. We ordered the steamed chicken and cabbage dumplings, the petit dumplings, dan dan mein, organic chicken ramen and the mango bubble tea. The bubble tea was the only good thing we had here. The dumplings had too much dough, the filling wasn't tasty either. The petit dumplings tasted weird. The dan dan mein was too sweet and didn't have much flavor. Cute spot in Weston. It was pretty consistently busy when we went around brunch time on a weekend. It's self seating so it's best if you have one person grab a table while the other orders. They didn't have soup dumplings when we went which was a pretty big bummer since that was once of the main things we wanted to try. Instead we got the pan fried dumplings. They're bigger than your average dumpling but they were a bit thick skinned for my taste. If the soup dumplings had thick skin, I wouldn't have liked it. We also tried the pork ramen and dan dan mien. They were just okay. I don't think I'd order them again actually. It definitely is Americanized and not so authentic which isn't a shocker given the location. The dan dan mien was too sesame flavored if that makes sense. Went for takeout today No problem with placing order or service-order was ready when promised and they are taking COVID precautions seriously. The food itself was just ok. We have been here before and it was much better-so not sure what was going on. The dumplings were super doughy and pale-almost uncooked in texture. Usually they have a nice golden color-these did not. The scallion bread was really hard and chewy. The vegetable spring rolls were very tasty and the Brussel sprouts are good but 12.00?? I was excited to order from here because I have always had a good experience with them. I had never tried the Dan Dan Mein and the description looked like something I would like. My mother had snuck in a bite of my food however none of us realized it would be covered in peanut butter since it was not advertised anywhere on the menu and there was no option to put in nut allergy but there were places to check off if you had a dairy or seafood allergy. My mother is allergic to peanuts but luckily she only had a tiny bit and was fine. The beef Lo Mein had microscopic amounts of beef. The dumplings were fantastic!! Cool little place to have in Weston! Right next to Brothers supermarket, it's a modern restaurant that is easy enough to get take out from, but intimate enough to dine in. They had some good tunes going as well, which is key when you're trying to keep upbeat in the winter. Good atmosphere, even though it wasn't that busy. Wish I could get a few drinks going here. Go on Weston, sort it out! I had a late lunch; wonton soup, followed by the pork dumplings. Good portions and it was perfectly filling. Washed down with a Honeydew bubble tea, and I'm a happy man. Was in the mood for some dumplings, took yelp on an adventure and this location came up. The location wasn't hard to find off 95. There is a ton of parking spaces. The decor was very nice. We ordered the braised pork belly buns, steamed mixed vegetables dumplings, steamed petit chicken dumplings, steamed traditional beef buns and the grandmas Beijing meat sauce over spaghetti. The grandmas spaghetti is a must have! It has a very unique flavor and well seasoned. Meat sauce on top of spaghetti, you can't beat that. The pork belly buns are delicious too. The pork belly had so much flavor to it and it's so tender and thick! The buns were very soft like a sponge. The dumplings were ok. It needed more flavor and tasted frozen. 3 Star seems low it's really 3 1/2 but that's not an option lol. Fried dumplings are terrific and highly recommend them. The rice bowl I had in this day was not high enough for anything about a 3 Star. The rice was clumped up like it was old , (maybe sat around to long ?) it was supposed to be spicy and I didn't get any spicy what so ever. First time here. Brought the wife and two young kids. I really wanted to like this place based on the reviews, but had high expectations. Bubble teas (watermelon, taro, mango, lychee) were ok but you could taste the powder. It's hard to find a place that makes fresh bubble tea (e.g. with real strawberries or fruit). Fried rice was the best dish we had here, just a tad too salty. Butter Miso Noodles were the second best thing we ordered. Temperature just right, noodles were the right toughness and flavor good and not overpowering. Steamed roasted BBQ Bun was borderline bad, tasteless and dry both inside and out. Braised Pork Belly sandwich was ok. The pork could have been warmer when served. Three Day pork ramen was disappointing. Soup was good, noodles too soft, sides were decent . But to be fair, this isn't a ramen focused place. I'll give it another try with different items but won't rush to return. read more

Really enjoy this place. The ramen isn't as good as restaurants that focus on ramen, but it's still very good nonetheless. I used to come about once or twice a month. But, I'm a Newton residence and now that Weston has decided to ban non-residents from Cat Rock Park, I will no longer come to this, nor any, Weston restaurant or business. Since Weston doesn't want me coming to their town, I don't see any need to to support their local businesses. When I heard about this place opening, I was mostly thrilled at the possibility of bubble tea 10 minutes from my house, so the food was just a nice bonus. Ramen and buns are two types of Asian food that I wish were better represented in suburbia, and I'm very happy with both at Dumpling Daughter. I'm no ramen expert, but I did just watch Tampopo and visit Japan for the first time so I at least feel qualified to say that the Three Day Pork Ramen was pretty good. And I enjoyed the pork bun and the five-spice tofu bun, although the golden fried buns (which are basically dessert) were too heavy for me. The dan dan mien was pretty good if a little plain, but I haven't had that anywhere else for comparison. The bubble tea was fine and $4 is an OK price. My sister got the petite dumplings and the steamed ones- steamed were good, petite were ok... once again- nothing I would take a trip for. I came here for lunch with my family. We ordered pork belly ramen, chicken soup, and dumplings. When I tasted the dumplings I was not sure if they were made in-house or bought at a mass supplier. My wife spotted the dough-rolling station on her way to the restroom, and removed my doubts. Now, I am not sure whether this is a testament to the high quality and fantastic taste of the dumplings I've bought from various Asian grocery stores, or an indication that this place needs a new chef. If your food's taste is indistinguishable from store-bought food, you just lost the right to sell it at restaurant prices. The pork belly ramen was seasoned only with star anise. That is all I could taste in any case. I know that star anise is usually paired with pork in Chinese cuisine, but I want to taste something other than liquorice. Please remove the word "ramen" from the menu in reference to this dish. This soup is not bad, but it has nothing to do with ramen. The chicken soup was bland. Please start seasoning the broth with something. In the age of slow-cookers were whole chickens can simmer for days with different spices, there is no excuse for bland broth. Dumpling Daughter seems a little out of place in the preppy suburbia that is Weston, MA but it has been receiving rave reviews from all over--had to make the trip. You order at a counter and there is a visable assembly line kitchen, but you receive the food from a runner as it comes out -- hot, fresh, and appealing across the board. The menu consists of a variety of buns, dumplings, salads, rice bowls, soups and ramen dishes. The recommended portion of food was one main dish for each individual, a soup, ramen or rice bowl, and then buns and dumplings to share with the table. I ordered the Vegetable Ramen ($10)--described on the menu as "NOT the instant kind!!!!" and we got the recommended Steamed Roasted BBQ Pork Buns ($4) and the Pan-Seared Pork and Napa Cabbage Dumplings ($6) to share. The buns were fluffy, not the fluffiest, the ramen was good, not the best--but it was all hot and fresh and fulfilled my ramen cravings. Perching at a rather uncomfortable yet very modern plastic table eating off of paper plates I realized this is really more of a takeout place. People rushing in and out grabbing dumplings to bring home to their kids after soccer practice gave the place an uncomfortable dining-in experience.
