Macaroons flavors rotate - A refrigerated display case showcases an assortment of macarons arranged in rows, with labels indicating flavors such as lemon, vanilla, pistachio, and others. The case is illuminated with bright lighting, and a QR code is visible on the front. The background includes a sign for YumCha and some stacked items on a shelf to the side.

Came here one night after dinner with my cousin and his fiancée craving some boba tea. The kiosks when you arrive make it easy to order and select to customize your tea. We also saw they had macaroons for sale which we loved so of course we had to get some of those too. Being able to order at the kiosk and customize was great I am slightly dairy intolerant, so to be able to see all the nondairy options and flavors was great. We got her tea and macaroons and played Jenga at one of the tables. I can't tell you how many times I've walked by this place, and never went in if you're walking by this place pop and grab yourself some Boba tea and bring a friend to hang out and play some board games with.

How can you say no to this mural?? The festive interior welcomes bubble tea into my heart (and belly). - A mural painted on a wall inside a bubble tea shop depicts a cartoon cat holding a bubble tea drink, with a happy expression. The background includes large fish, one red and one blue, with playful expressions, and various decorative elements like bubbles and citrus slices. The mural uses bright colors such as red, yellow, blue, and orange, creating a lively atmosphere. The shop interior features ceiling lights and visible ductwork, with part of a counter and a red decorative panel on the left.

4.5 stars for a new bubble tea place in Waltham! I was driving by when I noticed YumCha's storefront and literally turned the car around to try it out. It's a small cafe that's been about for 2 months, with cute, clean decor and a good selection of drinks and toppings. I am pretty basic with my boba orders and also don't drink milk, so was happy to see plenty of dairy free options. The honey green tea was quite tasty, with the tea brewed just right and a good balance with 50% sugar. The bubbles are a bit softer than my personal preference, but they're still nicely chewy. You'll pay a bit more here than at Kung Fu Tea, but I'd rather support a locally-owned small business with nice staff. Next time I'll try the passion fruit jelly (even comes as popping boba!) and sit down to play some of the games they have. Plus, they have drink punch cards. I can't resist a punch card...

Seating area - The image shows a seating area in a bubble tea shop, with a pink upholstered sofa, a round wooden coffee table, and two small stools with velvet upholstery. The wall behind has various framed and illustrated art pieces, including cartoon characters and decorative stained glass panels. There are plants on the wall and a window ledge, and a small shelf with books and a plant. The space is lit by hanging pendant lights, creating a cozy atmosphere.

I came here once and I'm hooked on the passion fruit boba! The speed and customer service of YumCha is cool, however it's the passion fruit boba that is above and beyond! The owner also gave me an extra cup as she made extra and didn't want it to go to waste. I'll definitely be back!

Inside decal - Multiple framed illustrations of animated characters drinking bubble tea are arranged on a white wall in a cafe. The artwork features diverse characters with expressive faces, each holding a cup of bubble tea with various toppings and straws. The images are in a cartoon style with bright colors. A small plant is visible on a shelf to the left, and part of a red sofa is at the bottom of the image. The setting suggests a casual, artistic cafe environment.

My new favorite boba store. There tea and boba are both amazing. My favorite is the taro tea with strawberry popping boba.

I thought the 50% sugar was a little sweet but not too sweet after mixing.

The mochi was so chewy and fresh, the matcha was rich and creamy, the strawberries provided a hint a tartness that gave balance, and the butter crunch made it the perfect texture combination. It doesn't get better than this. I think about this place often. You have the option of buying pre-made mochi. It was my first time trying taro pork floss mochi. I felt like the sweet cream, taro, and mochi was good, but it was sweet in comparison to the pork floss? the pork floss is supposed to make it savory, but the sweetness overpowers the pork floss, so I found it to be odd. Depending on the day and time you go, there could be a wait, but it's so worth it. I would go here again and again.

This bakery is such a cool experience- I love that they have lots of mochi options, but also let you get your own custom one. I made my own mochi with vanilla and strawberry inside, the and the oreo dusting. It was so cool how they made it right in front of you! The mochi itself was delicious (although a little messy) and i definitely would make the trip for more of it! I personally am not a mochi connoisseur, but my friends I was with are and they said it was "life changing". The bakery itself is pretty small and there's not a lot of seating, but it's a fun vibe and definitely busy!

Their prices are reasonable for this type of homestyle fare, so you have no reason to give your money to a big chain owned by fat cats! ;) On weekends, the wait for table seating can be an hour-plus but there is a reason for this. We ordered popcorn chicken to start and devoured our bowls of soup: chicken and braised beef. Mine was the latter and I ended up ordering additional noodles and Chinese veggies so the delicious broth would not go to waste! My side order of noodles was a healthy portion. I also tried the pork wontons and we finished off our meal with the sesame seed "appetizer" balls (4 small pieces: 2 skewers with 2 each). Dine-in seating is limited but what they have is clean and simple. The complementary jasmine and green hot tea is delicious. Andy served us and was attentive and affable. I will definitely come back to try the salt and pepper pork chop many have written about!

Easily the early and far away favorite for best restaurant of 2026. Where do I begin?…read more I came in on a Sunday night and was one of the last seated- luckily. As a family run restaurant , grandma and the rest of the family had a flight to catch to Taiwan the next day; all the ingredients are fresh to prep daily and sadly for some, they had to get turned away that night... I went heavy hitter mode, I was in the zone. I got the salt & pepper pork chop- wasn't going to eat the rice but as you can see from the pic below of the noodles- I licked the entire plate clean. This pork chop was perfectly seasoned and it was insanely tender. Very impressed with how tender and flavorful it was. Next up had the spicy wonton noodles; just truly amazing, idk what else to say. The noodles are perfectly cooked, super flavorful dish. The beef noodles were also incredible and the braised beef pieces stole the show in that bowl. I left zero room for any to go box. Service was amazing, they were super nice & I even got to say hello and compliment Grandma upon leaving. I would give this place 6 stars if I could. I will definitely be back soon!
