    Macaroons flavors rotate

Came here one night after dinner with my cousin and his fiancée craving some boba tea. The kiosks when you arrive make it easy to order and select to customize your tea. We also saw they had macaroons for sale which we loved so of course we had to get some of those too. Being able to order at the kiosk and customize was great I am slightly dairy intolerant, so to be able to see all the nondairy options and flavors was great. We got her tea and macaroons and played Jenga at one of the tables. I can't tell you how many times I've walked by this place, and never went in if you're walking by this place pop and grab yourself some Boba tea and bring a friend to hang out and play some board games with.

How can you say no to this mural?? The festive interior welcomes bubble tea into my heart (and belly).

4.5 stars for a new bubble tea place in Waltham! I was driving by when I noticed YumCha's storefront and literally turned the car around to try it out. It's a small cafe that's been about for 2 months, with cute, clean decor and a good selection of drinks and toppings. I am pretty basic with my boba orders and also don't drink milk, so was happy to see plenty of dairy free options. The honey green tea was quite tasty, with the tea brewed just right and a good balance with 50% sugar. The bubbles are a bit softer than my personal preference, but they're still nicely chewy. You'll pay a bit more here than at Kung Fu Tea, but I'd rather support a locally-owned small business with nice staff. Next time I'll try the passion fruit jelly (even comes as popping boba!) and sit down to play some of the games they have. Plus, they have drink punch cards. I can't resist a punch card...

I came here once and I'm hooked on the passion fruit boba! The speed and customer service of YumCha is cool, however it's the passion fruit boba that is above and beyond! The owner also gave me an extra cup as she made extra and didn't want it to go to waste. I'll definitely be back!

My new favorite boba store. There tea and boba are both amazing. My favorite is the taro tea with strawberry popping boba.

I thought the 50% sugar was a little sweet but not too sweet after mixing.

I tried calling and eventually left a message asking what was up. The second message I left was asking for a refund. When I did not receive a refund I tried calling later that week to see if I could just get the order fulfilled and nobody picked up. I tried calling the following week and nobody picked up. Not sure but I'm not convinced they're doing anything but taking money.

Then it says "see below for additional pricing on items". There was nothing listed below with additional pricing. The menu was so confusing to navigate in the store that I resorted to looking up their menu online. Then the limited menu items left little to be desired. Their "base" salad starts at $10.50 and that only includes 3 veggies, none of which were standard salad vegetables - peppers, onions, tomatoes, and cucumenbers. In fact, none of those vegetables were even offered on the menu. I'm all for experimenting with roasted broccoli and pickled beets on a salad, but I was surprised that these were the only options (among other odd "veggies") to put on a salad. Then they mark avocado as a protein and charge as much as the grilled chicken. Avocado is not a protein and their price gouging should be noted by any potential new customers. Their lackluster limited menu, non-existent customer service (wasn't even greeted or asked when I walked in if I could be helped), and overpriced items leave little left to be desired. I was really excited to try this place, but there was nothing appealing to order. Except for maybe the Pesto Chicken Melt on ciabatta bread. I was ready to order that and then heard the lady tell someone over the phone that they were out of ciabatta bread. You literally only have 3 sandwiches on your menu - how can you be out of bread? After that, I just decided that they weren't worth the hassle of settling for something that I really didn't want and paying a ridiculous amount for it. I ended up leaving. Finally, being closed on the weekends is super inconvenient. Healthy salads and sandwiches sound great, but this place missed the mark entirely.

As soon as you walk in, you are in the battle of the drums between the Kumasi and the Djembe. So loud I couldn't think . I did ask to turn it down a few times, in the middle of my meal the Chef said I could eat outside. On that note I ordered way too much. The fried chicken was delicious !! Not greasy at all. But huge, sorry today I ordered two thighs that were the size of one large breast. A little condiment of shaved coconut and chive was on the side. Any sides were à la carte. I did try the " Cabbage Salad" that had a nice flavor, but was overdressed and is mostly iceberg lettuce, and rice with surprisingly sticky rice , so it was kind of yummy. The chicken came with one sauce I got the curry. It was divine.. & my friend got the chicken bites and some kind of mayo. I was going to leave a five star review because the food was that good however, on the receipt they charged $.92 for the containers and eating utensils. I'm disheartened because if they offered an alternative like a plate and regular silverware, I could see not adding it into their cost. If I refuse to pay for the containers, how would I eat it on that note the chef was nice enough to me to have me try a couple of items that I didn't have to pay for. Which I greatly appreciated and that is why I'm leaving such a nice review. I do recommend eating here, but take it home. Or call for delivery, they have their own AP. PS great smoothie's !!!

I decided to order Spam Musubi (rice and spam), a Byte (mini fried chicken), and tapioca tea! My girl went into the store and had the food ready within 3 minutes, which is really awesome as we were in a hurry. However, we were really disappointed by what was inside that bag, as none of them were as good as we expected. 1) Spam Musubi's rice was lost in texture itself. It tasted like old rice. Yet spam was well not bad. We ate all of them. 2) bytes( mini fried chicken) they were overcooked. I attach the picture of it. So hard to chew and meat was nothing there. And I requested mayo but it was not there. But spicy sauce was with them instead in the box. The kids were complaining it was too spicy for mayo. 3) boba tea, I ordered with boba with extra fee. But it was not there just milk tea with brown suger. Later my girl who went to there to pick up, told me the server continued to speak to her even though my girl told to write down as she was deaf. Can't lipreading. Quite disappointed with the service and food.

We ended up getting two strawberry cream mochi, one mango cream mochi, and the mango pomelo sago. The sago was definitely on the expensive side for the portion, but it absolutely hit the spot and satisfied the craving. The mochi was the real star. The outer layer was soft, chewy, and pillowy, while the filling was light, creamy, and not overly sweet. The strawberry cream mochi tasted fresh and delicate, and the mango version was rich, fruity, and refreshing. Each one felt like biting into a little cloud. The mango pomelo sago was creamy and packed with mango flavor, making for a nice contrast to the mochi. Not exactly an everyday treat given the prices, but for a special craving, it was worth the drive and I'd happily come back.
