    Pork Chop rice plate
    Anthony C.

Pretty good food and nice staff. My favorite thing I ate was their chive and egg "box". Great flavor and probably the best i've had in the boston area lately. Not a big fan of their "stewed minced pork" which is a rice dish on its own as well as a part of the pork chop rice plate. it is like ground pork with no pork belly at all. The flavor is fine but it's not what I consider stewed minced pork. The stewed egg that comes with it is pretty good I added photos of the menu which will hopefully help give you a better idea of what they have. Not a place i would go out of my way to eat at again but if convenient, a decent option. Prices are a bit high relatively speaking.

TLDR: The real deal If you want authentic delicious Szechuan food come to this place. We came during lunch and was promptly seated and served. Portion sizes are big and filling. Our meal consisted of the scallion pancake, beef fried rice, fish filet in oil, string beans, and the beef and tendon in chili sauce. Perfect mix of everything. I didn't get to try it this time around but they had a full bar and drink menu. Seriously impressed!

Tried take out this week from this spot: Sauteed Chicken W Long Horn Pepper In Scallion Pancake Roll - highly recommend Mini Juicy Buns W Pork(6) - very tasty Mala Spicy Beef - good - a lot of beef, prepare. Overall, very tasty items all around. I liked the mini pork buns and the scallion pancake rolls the most, but all probably worth a try based on experience with what I had.

Taste House was really good! Friendly service and it was very clean inside. We were going to order takeout as it was about 8pm on a Sunday. But after checking out the reviews and photos, we decided to dine in because every pic we saw looked amazing. We started with the roast beef scallion pancake rolls (pictured) which were so so good. also had the mini juicy pork dumplings which were very flavorful. and had the sizzling beef with black pepper sauce which tasted great (but for the price i did expect it to be served with rice or something). definitely will come back again

I came here for the soup dumplings, but I enjoyed the fried chicken and beef noodle soup more. If you are looking for the perfect soup dumplings with the thin skin and an abundance of soup in every bite- this isn't it. Many of the dumplings had burst and lost what little juice they had, so it was a bit disappointing. However, you can get solid comforting food here for prices similar to ctown. Expect to pay $15-20 for a plate of veggies because everything has gone up post covid. I'll be back, but it won't be for the sad dumplings.

Good Taiwanese style food that is tasty, light, and not too salty. What really makes this a good restaurant is that all the food seems fresh. I did not taste any of the telltale signs of bottled sauces.

Gotta say the best food ever! 12/10 you have to stop here and eat. The prices wasn't that bad, you get a ton of food. Just be ready to take home leftovers! Service was quick and very friendly, they recommended the best dishes.

Finally Waltham has more than one Chinese restaurant with a full service bar. Visited today, just a few days after their soft opening and a few days before their grand opening so our expectations were not high. Located right on Moody St, good luck finding street parking and they do not have their own parking lot. But there is plenty of paid lots so your walk will be a short one. Inside is spotless as would be expected from a brand new restaurant. Service was very friendly. Drinks strong, however the scorpion bowl tasted more like a mai tai than the mai tai did. Food came out fast and was very fresh. Nice full crab Rangoons, great dumplings and one of the best noodle dishes we have ever had. Prices vary, some things are quite reasonable, some rather expensive, however I think you can get the best of both worlds here. Good American Chinese food and very authentic Chinese cuisine. The bar is a good size, in fact it takes up one entire wall. Decent amount of tables, and a very open feel. Looking forward to the next visit and trying something new.

We were seated in a high top across from the bar. Our server, Hannah, was pleasant and cordial. My wife ordered the southwestern salad and I ordered a burger with a $2 upgrade to make the tater tots "garlic". Her salad comes and is much smaller than expected for $18. My burger came and I ordered it medium rare and it was well done. I sent it back to be refired to the proper temp and while I waited I ate the tater tots. I expected a $2 upcharge to be at least fresh garlic but it was garlic powder. On top of that, when I finished the tots(before the second burger) there was a pool of oil at the bottom of the basket plus 2 pools that leaked onto the table. The refired burger came back via a food runner, not a manager, and this burger was also not medium rare but I was hungry so I ate it. When we let Hannah know about the out l oil she explained that they regularly are cleaning up oil and not to worry about it. I'll be going to the Muffin House down the road from now on. You should also.

Cazuela de Coliflor Asada (9/10): Insanely good dish. The cauliflower has perfect texture, complemented by the pistachios. The sauce is SO good. The cauliflower soaks it up so well. Chicharrones (9/10): Melt in your mouth pork belly. The pork skin crust was perfect. The sauces really make most of the dishes here. This dish is no different - I loved the sauce. Ropa Vieja (9/10): Perfectly slow cooked meat. One thing that really stood out to me was actually the white rice. The rice was VERY high quality, and I appreciated it so much. It's rare to come by rice this good. It had the perfect texture, chew, and fragrance. Ropa Vieja de Hongos (9/10): Pretty much the same as Ropa Vieja above. The mushrooms are delicious, and the dish is just as good whether your order the mushroom or steak version. Empanada del Carne (9/10): Oh man, the crusts are so good. This is pretty on par with the ones I just had in Puerto Rico. Chuletas de Cordero (8/10): The seasoning is heavenly. I was licking the lamb chops clean. Croquetas (8/10): Very solid croquetas. Wouldn't say it's a must-order, but you can't go wrong with them. Costillas a la Guayaba (6/10): The first time I had this it was really nicely marinated, and the rib meat is so tender that it almost falls off the bone. The second time, the meat was dry. Maduros con Tocino (6.5/10): This dish was pretty good, but got overshadowed by the other ones. Pulpo (6.5/10): Octopus was tender and savory. The potatoes were too salty. Camarones a la Plancha (6.5/10): Solid dish, but I enjoyed some other ones even more. Ensalada de Aguacate y Pina (6/10): The salad was a bit too sour, and that sourness overpowered the dish. It was a great blend of ingredients, though. *** and one dessert *** Churros con Chocolate (8.5/10): Big crunchy fluffy churros!! The chocolate sauce is amazing (not really spicy at all). Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. I ordered an Old-Fashioned and my companion a glass of chardonnay, both of which came promptly and were enjoyable. After some inquiries I settled on the self-advertised fall-off-the-bone baby back ribs. My companion asked about a favorite no longer on the menu, a salad with grilled chicken, and after checking with the kitchen our server was happy to report it could be ordered. My companion asked for dressing on the side and unfortunatel the salad came out dressed. Our server was happy to return it to the kitchen and it came out after not too much time had elapsed, the way she'd ordered it. I'm always skeptical that ribs will be fall-off-the-bone but these were close. Unfortunately, they seemed a little off; I still can't decide if they were on the dry side, lacking in flavor, or both. But the meat did come off the bone easily, so there was that. They came with french fries which were good, The location is handy and there is on-site parking. The atmosphere was energetic and it must be a popular after-work place because there were several large (10+) tables occupied. Still, not sure I would go back soon when there are other comparable places in the area.
