Goodness, this place is worth the hype! I don't think we have ever had pastries this delectable! We loved the pear and mushroom (fun guy) ones the best. Apple was also a strong contender. The bear and the mango were also very good, but we preferred the first three. We can't wait to come back and try more! It was busy, but we brought our patience with us. :) The staff was very friendly, and they had a large patio outside if you couldn't find a place to eat inside. It is over an hour away from us, but it is well worth the drive (and the price!) for these amazing treats! We need to try their actual food menu, too bc everything looked amazing!

We landed and headed straight to this place before it closed since we were only in town until morning. We came specifically to try the viral fruit desserts, but when we arrived around 4, they were sold out. That was disappointing--especially after going 20 minutes out of our way--but I decided to try the carrot cake instead. I'm very picky about carrot cake, and this one was delicious! It's only the second place I've found where I would buy carrot cake again. I definitely recommend it!

Arguably one of my favorite coffee shops in the Raleigh/Durham area! Dulce Cafe offers a great selection hot and cold brews and delicious and really good looking pastries. This place is instagrammable! I had a hot latte with a chocolate cookie and a giant coconut macaroon. Everything was delicious. Service was fantastic, common areas were clean and comfortable with a diverse vibe and the location is easy to find with plenty of free parking. Overall, 100% recommended.

I am a self proclaimed foodie and I will travel to a bakery that people tell me about. Price is not an issue, but service is. I had high expectations of this bakery - too high obviously. For what I spent there (I took my son, daughter, and son-in-law), I expected decent service. It wasn't busy; we were able to find a table to fit all of us easily in the back. After 5 minutes, all they brought to our table was the cafe au lait that my son ordered and the brewed coffee that my son-in-law ordered. We waited another 15 minutes and watched the other guests get served their plates. All of us ordered already-made pastries, brewed coffee, and chai tea - nothing that would take more than 10 minutes to put together. Nothing needed to be heated or anything like that. I waved a server over to our table and she said "Oh, they must have forgotten to bring out your food." She didn't apologize. She eventually brought out the plates but didn't bring out my nor my daughter's drinks. Turns out the cashier never entered our drinks. I wasn't given a receipt so I didn't see that our drinks weren't included in the tab. Again, no apologies about the delay for our overpriced food. The drinks weren't anything special - they were smaller than other cafes that I frequent. The pastries, while tasty and beautifully decorated, are not the best I've ever had. This was a disappointing trip for me and my family and I won't go back there based on my experience. I will find better service at other cafes and restaurants with food that is just as good if not better. I don't recommend this cafe if you want an enjoyable experience.

Mushroom (I think it's called Fun Guy?). It fell over on the 2 1/2 hour drive home but this was my favorite.

I tried 5 different pastries and they were all sooooo good. My favorite were the little mushroom shaped one and the chocolate/nutty one (gluten free). Will definitely be back. I see what all of the hype is about!

This bakery is an absolute gem! The smoked salmon sandwich is my favorite--it's always fresh and perfectly balanced. All the baked treats are delicious, and there's always something new to try. The staff is warm and welcoming, and the easy parking makes every visit even better. The seating area is great for working or catching up with friends. I love coming here!

Absolutely loved this place! The desserts like the Pistachio Eclair and the Apple Cinnamon Macaroon were amazing. I also ordered a chicken salad sandwich which was also very good. The staff was very friendly and great atmosphere. I plan on going back soon.

Went here with some friends for some simple coffee and ended up pleasantly surprised by art pieces masquerading as cakes and tartes. Dulce Cafe is a homey and easygoing spot with confections that look too good to eat. I was sad that the mushroom shaped one was sold out but I'd love to go back to try it! Coffee was decent too but nothing special compared to the cakes. Everything came out fast and was brought to our seats. I'll definitely be coming back in the future!

Unapologetic, rude! I was appalled, and angry. I was with my mother, brother, and husband when we got there. It wasn't too busy, we were the first in line. We ordered. I asked for a chocolate cake and a chai tea latte. My mother ordered carrot cake and decaf coffee, my brother ordered the chocolate cake and coffee, and my husband ordered the mushroom cake and black coffee. We also got a tiramisu to go. We didn't order anything to be cooked. It was premade. We sat down and my husband and brother got their drinks and cakes. My mother and I waited but we didn't get anything. We waited for over 10 minutes. My mother had to flag a waitress down to ask how much longer it would take, and she looked at our table and went, "Oh. They didn't bring out the food?" We shook our heads no because we were still waiting on our drinks and cake. She went to go check on our order. She brought back my chocolate cake, my mother's carrot cake, and the tiramisu. We reminded her it was supposed to be "to go" and asked for a box. Still, no drinks for me or my mother. I was getting impatient because tables that had sat down after us had already gotten their drinks and left. We were still waiting. Eventually, the waitress came back and showed us the order. They had never even given us the receipt, but apparently they never even put my latte or my mothers decaf coffee on the ticket. My mother asked for the receipt, which they gave to her to look over. I ate my cake. It was good. But it was ruined by how angry I was becoming. Normally, I wouldn't write a review because I have worked in the service industry. I understand. However, this next part is why I decided I needed to write a review. My husband felt bad that they forgot our drinks, so he went up to order my chai tea latte and my mothers decaf. When he finally got to the front of the line- and this is according to him- the older lady at the register was rude to him. Rude to him for ordering drinks that we should've already gotten. Rude to him for giving them the chance to correct their mistake. She was short with him. He said that the drinks were for his wife and mother-in- law, and the cashier had the gall to say "Oh, I know." Like, really?? If you knew, why didn't our drinks come out the first time? Anyways, they brought out our drinks. It didn't make us feel better. The most horrendous part about this experience was their lack of accountability, their lack of tact, and complete lack of apology. Not ONCE did they apologize for making us wait over 10 minutes for premade food. Not ONCE did they apologize for missing our order and failing to put it on the ticket. Not once did they apologize for forgetting to hand us the receipt and making it our problem. They didn't even try to compensate. I was appalled! I would never treat a customer this way. And to be rude after ordering a second time? Unacceptable. The total was over 60$. It was not worth the trouble. The service alone makes me now steer clear of this place. I'm convinced that the only customers they still have are ones that haven't had a bad experience like ours yet. I will never be coming back. The photo is JUST the receipt from my husband making that second order just for me and my mothers drinks. Both, together, came to almost 9 dollars. The drinks were small btw. You could get coffees that taste better at Starbucks and get BETTER service for the same price. Do not come here.

This place was so cute. I took my friend for a birthday treat and we were both impressed. The desserts are so cute. I got 2 cookie sandwiches for my boys and I got The Fun Guy. They were so good. I barely seen my boys have the cookie in their hands, they ate them so quick

    Dessert Bar

Great food and coffee! They were so quick even with the line, and there's a good amount of sit space. Very cute!

    Mushroom pastry

The desserts were soo yummy! Service was friendly and helpful! The cafe was clean and I was a fan of the decor and artwork around. Nice spot to grab a treat with friends!

With a boring food court on top of it, Milklab is a sweet haven found at the center of the mall building, by the central escalators. If you're riding down the escalator from the 2nd floor, you can see the big, simple "MILKLAB" sign on its roof. Unlike other Milklab locations, this is just a concession with just a side table on one end, so don't expect seats and tables you'd usually find a typical milk tea cafe. There's usually a kiosk for ordering, but the last time I went, it wasn't working, so I directly told the barista what I wanted: a large Purple Taro Latte + egg pudding topping (light ice, 75% sweetness level). I've ordered the Purple Taro Latte many times in different Milklab locations before, but this is the first time I tried it with egg pudding. I usually order it with taro pudding but after trying the brown sugar milk tea drink with egg pudding in Tiger Sugar in Cary, I decided to test it out with this sweet drink. Surprisingly, I couldn't taste the difference between the blend with the taro pudding and this one with the egg pudding. The flavor of the purple taro in the milk was so strong, it kind of masked the creaminess of the egg pudding, but it's still richer with it. Nonetheless, the barista got the blend right. I called the Purple Taro Latte the "best taro milk tea" in my review for Milklab - Cary (the first and best Milklab location), and my opinion still hasn't changed. This is not your average taro milk tea; Milklab proudly claims that they use the best ingredients such as organic milk and other premium ingredients, not the cheap powdery kind you can get from bigger milk tea franchised shops. And the Purple Taro Latte is one of the drinks that delivers that rich, organic taste. I've tried other drinks and briefly shared what I thought of them in my review for Milklab - Cary so I won't repeat them here, but what I can highlight more is Milklab's premium-looking branding with its minimal black logo on its quality cups. When you hold a Milklab drink, there's a luxurious feel, not just because of its elegant cups, but also because the ingredients inside are the best (except for its mediocre brown sugar milk tea). While in Durham (as I shared in a previous post), we stopped by a food hall after an event, and inside we found Milk Lab. I'm usually not big on trying different teas or specialty drinks, but on this particular day my sister recommended it--and I figured, what the heck, let's give it a try. I honestly don't even remember exactly what we ordered or whether it had milk in it, but what I do remember is that it was so good. The barista was amazing--super knowledgeable, explained the drink list, and even helped us decide when we couldn't choose between two options. The drink we got was one of their recommendations, and it did not disappoint. IT WAS SO GOOD! Now here's the sad part As I was walking to the table to sit down, the drink somehow tipped over and spilled. Y'all... I don't even know what happened, but I was HEARTBROKEN. I didn't get to finish it, but from the few sips I did get, I would absolutely order it again. I'm just glad I at least managed to get a picture before the tragedy.

Bapu's ambiance inside looks artsy, with cute aesthetics and cool atmosphere. What stood out to me was the assortment of toppings displayed. The good thing: they look pretty colorful and fresh; the not-so-good thing: they're uncovered, so I'm not sure if they're clean. Nonetheless, it's convenient to see the different topping options you can add to your milk tea. I noticed Bapu uses the artificial purple taro powder for its milk tea instead of taro paste, so I eliminated that choice from my milk tea selection process. There was only one young employee who took orders and also made the milk teas when I went, but his customer service was good as he made fine recommendations and served my order fast. Unlike Boba Baba's eye-aching menu screens, Bapu Teahouse's menu overhead looks clear with photos, highlighting its special drinks. There are no kiosks here, so you'd have to order face-to-face. As the server recommended, I ordered the Brown Sugar Ice Milk (75% sweetness, light ice). It doesn't look as Instagram-worthy as Tiger Sugar's brown sugar milk teas, but it looks yummy enough, with brown sugar syrup clearly visible in Bapu's cute & translucent cup with ears. Bapu only serves 1 size for its drinks. When I ordered this, the server asked if I wanted boba. Most decent milk tea cafes I go to automatically already have the basic tapioca pearls or boba by default in their brown sugar milk tea drinks but Bapu charges extra for that. Brown Sugar Ice Milk is listed as $6. With the boba topping, I ended up paying a total of $7.76, which is slightly higher than average price of brown sugar boba milk teas in cafes I've been to. Compare that to Feng Cha in Morrisville, which offers Dirty Boba (brown sugar milk tea for only $6.25 with the boba already included, so Bapu's pricing here sounds like a joke. To be fair, the size of the cup is large enough, with its cute top that reminds me of Doraemon or Hello Kitty. The material of it doesn't look cheap and it feels fun to hold. The sweetness of the brown sugar flavor was just right. It might have been too sweet if it was set to 100% sweetness level, and it's still probably slightly sweet at 50% but my usual preference of 75% for any brown sugar milk tea was perfect here. The milk was deliciously-creamy with the fresh & chewy boba - perfect texture. Server did a good job blending with just the right amount of ice, good amount of brown sugar syrup & boba. It's not on the same level as Boba Baba's Brown Sugar Boba or Tiger Sugar's brown sugar drinks but it's better than many mediocre brown sugar milk teas I've tried in other cafes. Bapu Teahouse's menu is purely drinks, with a nice variety of milk teas, fruit teas, smoothies & iced coffee. Sadly, there are no snack or non-drink dessert options here that you can pair with your milk tea. It's not a big deal if you're only craving for a drink, and it looks like Bapu has a good selection of toppings to customize your order. Just prepare to pay extra for those. | Overall Score: 3.4/5 | Recommended Alternative: Sharetea in Morrisville
