We had a very hard time in choosing the item we want. All of them look so beautiful! Then I end up with the 4 macaroons: strawberry, chocolate, key lime and pistachio. All the four flavors are good! I like the pistachio most, followed by strawberry. My boyfriend who's not a macaroon person also likes them! My boyfriend ordered the carrot cake. It was very big! My boyfriend said it's good. I didn't try. I also had the chai Latte, definitely surprised me again! Might be the best Chai Latte I've ever had. We noticed they serve beer and sandwiches as well. What I like about Dulce: 1-they spell panini correctly (not "paninis" as "panini" is already plural) 2- their selection is small but pleasing to a variety of tastes 3- my pimento cheese panino was perfectly grilled and I could have my choice of chips or salad as my side 4- the atmosphere and decor were relaxing as they were lovely What I did not like about Dulce: 1- they charged me $3 for an Arnold Palmer (1/2 iced tea and 1/2 lemonade). Wonderful addition to Sutton Station! I'm shocked that so many places have come and gone in this location, but I have hope for this place so check it out and buy something so they stay! I stopped by today after a visit to InsideOut with an iced coffee in mind. The restaurant is wonderful inside. The renovations they have made are really nice. Great sitting space and great display cases for all their wonderful sweet treats like gelato, cakes, cupcakes, muffins, etc. The service was excellent! I got the coffee I went in for and also picked up a carrot cake cupcake - which was delicious - and some chocolate hazelnut gelato for my husband (it's gluten free!). My husband just tried the gelato since he's been running around all day. It had been in our freezer for about 5 hours now and it was absolutely delicious! Super creamy, nice chocolatey flavor, and a nice hazelnut flavor. I managed a quick glance at a paper menu they had and I noticed they have two different salads, some sandwhiches, and some other things I can't recall. They are open at 7:30 during the week, perfect time for a pre-work coffee and they stay open until 9pm on Saturday. So stop by and grab some post-date/dinner dessert here. I got the Basil-Pesto Chicken Panini and it was just okay. The chicken was a little dry and there definitely wasn't enough basil-pesto in it. The panini was also really greasy, it oozed oil every time I took a bite. The desserts at this place looked so cute and yummy and I wish I had stomach room for them. One of my friends strongly recommends the lentil soup, but overall the sandwiches are average and pricey for what they are. Giving this place 4 stars because while we were sitting outside, one of the dogs came out of her harness and had us all running through the parking lot trying to catch her. Stopped by Dulce on a school night, after dinner at a nearby restaurant. We just had a super spicy meal and we needed some ice cream to cool down. Pulling into the parking lot, you'll notice Dulce has outdoor tables and seems to be a hip, late night spot for those who want to grab coffee, gelato or desserts. I saw a lot of reviews for sandwiches on Yelp but I guess that's more of a lunch thing. Anyway, my friend and I came to Dulce intending for ice cream or Gelato but he ended up getting affogato (was pretty good) and I ended up drooling over the macarons. I absolutely love macarons but one mistake I did make, was that I ordered 6 impulsively. I should have tried one first. Even though I ordered 6 different flavors, they all tasted the same.. there was barely any difference from one to the other. After ordering I ate one and saved the rest for later. With macarons, I tend to let them sit a day so they get chewy and a tad crunchy. Fail. When I bit into the remaining macarons, the tasted like rocks. Ended up trashing four of them. Granted I know it's not Lauderee, I won't ever get macarons there again. I can't ding this place completely though. They had an awesome survival book that me and my friend spent 10 minutes reading and were fascinated by. Love this place! It's a cute cozy cafe to grab a dessert or a meal with some friends! I've been here plentiful of time and have enjoyed my experience each time. Desserts I have tried (that I remember on the top of my head): salted caramel gelato, tropical cake, fruit cake, and chocolate cake tower. Holy Father, I think I've just had the best Carrot Cake in my life. Granted, I'm no Carrot Cake pro, but I'd wager Dulce Café's against the best. A quick drive from Southpoint Mall, this spot is prime for a light lunch with a sweet finish. They have paninis, soups, and other lunch favorites, but I have yet to try them. For their bakery selection, they have an assortment of treats; some seasonal, some constant. Cakes, cookies, pies, macaroons, macarons, breads, you name it. Their all stars are the aforementioned Carrot Cake, and a Chocolate-Strawberry cake I believe. They also have gelato! We ordered a cappuccino and chocolate mousse cake. The coffee is one of the best I have tasted and the chocolate cake was pretty awesome. The coffee was big enough to be shared and the cake was huge. It comes on the expensive side as we payed around $10 but it was totally worth it. The next time I would probably ask for an extra hot coffee but will definitely be going back again. I came, I saw, I conquered........ their beautiful carrot cake. Initially, my plan was to go there and treat myself to a nice Sunday breakfast as I studied. No, that did not go as planned. I ended up switching up my plan and getting one massive carrot cake slice. Their strategy worked on me, so kudos to them! I have a big sweet tooth and this carrot cake definitely satisfied it. The cake was really moist and flavorful- filled with lots of carrots, walnuts, and raisins! The icing was almost too sweet, but hey, it's a cake so what do you expect right? The workers here are nice- they weren't the friendliest or anything but they got the job done so I didn't really care. Also, I wish they had larger tables- all of them were small round tables barely fit for two... I was there for awhile (because I had to crank out some work) and I noticed that a lot of people were trying out their gelatos so I guess that's next on my list! On a side note, I liked the music they played there! I wish they would bake their muffins in nonstick muffin tins and then surround them with the cute colored tissue paper. Losing half your muffin on the colorful baking paper they cook them in, is kind of sad. They're the type of muffins one must sit down and eat, since they crumble to no end. We purchased chocolates from Dulce for our wedding as gifts for our guests. The artisanal handmade chocolates are beautiful and delicious, and Jordan, Chad and Carlos were incredibly helpful and delivered exactly as promised. This was a perfect treat for our guests! Always good food. Dulce cafe makes some of the best pastries for munching on. I prefer the chicken salad sandwich on rye, avocado, and Swiss cheese. I also enjoy their lentil soup and beef and barely soup with mini-grilled cheese. I always double the grilled cheese count, fir lunch give it a try. Yesterday was national dessert day (every day is national something or other day; congress is hard at work, y'all). Look, I don't need an excuse to have dessert, but I will gladly take one. I decided, what the hell, let me have dessert for dinner. I picked up a personal sized cheesecake. It comes wrapped in plastic, like Laura Palmer, but just pull at the tape and it comes off the sides easily. It was topped with a cream cheese frosting and an artsy little thin square of chocolate, but the frosting was so similar in both taste and texture to the cheesecake that it was hard to discern where the frosting ended and the cake began. Nevertheless, it was delicious and very filling. I also picked up an alfajore and cinnamon spice cookie. I we so full from the cheesecake that I saved the cookies for a snack with coffee for the next day. They were good, but the alfajore was too sweet for my liking. I did enjoy the texture of the cookies, though. The cinnamon spice cookie was great, though. Both were sandwich cookies, the former filled with dulce de leche and the latter with chocolate hazelnut, like a Nutella. read more

Was running to the mall but it was closed, so to kill some time I headed to Dulce. I headed in and saw all the wonderful items in the refrigerated case. The carrot cake looked marvelous, thankfully I had just ate or I would have bought it (next time!). I went with a small french press and chocolate with zucchini muffin. My husband & I have had carrot cake from here to Westchester County, NY. Dulce has the best carrot cake we have ever had! Carrot cake is typically too dry. Do you like carrot cake? If so, go here ASAP. Best carrot cake in the Triangle - moist, dense, and since it's full of veggies it's a health food, right? I've tried their cookies (the chocolate coconut macaroons are quite good) and gelato but always come back to the carrot cake. The staff are friendly and service is quick.
