I picked up plants from 2 nurseries. Saved him time and me money. ( It is later in the year and I had a hard time finding everything at one.) He suggested Hinsdale Nursery whose size of shrubs were amazing. Also had luck at Wasco in St. Charles. I placed where I wanted them and J&C had everything planted and mulched in half a day. They also removed 3 older (large) shrubs. They are VERY hard workers and Javier couldn't be nicer to work with. Always wants to make sure the customer is happy with the job. Responds by text within very reasonable amount of time (you need to consider the day and time you are texting as he is doing work also). Nice weather the first time (in 70's) This second project is re-grading a path and laying stepping stones. Also adding sod where necessary and blending with the other lawn in the area that is not being replaced. The weather is horribly hot and humid (in the 90's) and they are doing a great job. I would definitely use them again. Highly recommend.

When I first re landscaped my historic home back in 2001, I didn't go with Coventry but in all the years that have since passed, I wished I had. So when it came time to pull the landscaping and start anew, my first and only call went to Coventry Gardeners and they delivered on my vision beautifully. While on the pricey end (you get what you pay for) their team of designers (thanks, Rebecca!) do a beautiful job in laying out the garden. I like that they show you a layout as well as colored pictures of what plants you are agreeing to. While I like to putter in gardening, there were some plants that even my green thumb didn't recognize so the pictures were really helpful. And once the garden has been installed, their seasoned team of gardening professionals take care of it like it is their own personal garden. I stepped out of the house on a Saturday, only to find their lead gardener in my garden making sure that everything was growing as planned. The other nice thing that they did was "save" some of the plants that I was removing and found other places to tuck those plants in. Really special. If price is your determinant, then you should look elsewhere as while competitive, Coventry Gardeners are at the high end of the range. But if you want quality from the design stage, to the plants themselves, to the maintenance, then this is the company for you. It took me 14 years to get what I wanted . . .but the result is worth the wait!

Rick helped us design a layout that would work for our space and needs, then installed artificial turf along with plants along the fence line. Unfortunately, I can't recommend RLG Landscaping based on my experience with our artificial turf…read moreinstallation. We discovered an issue with the installation where the turf base had been built up directly against and underneath our wooden fence. When we later needed to repair the deteriorating bottom of the fence, the fence contractor couldn't perform the work without disturbing the turf and base. I contacted RLG while the turf installation was still within the one-year installation warranty included in our contract. I sent photos and explained the issue. Rick acknowledged that they had installed the turf butted up to the fence and told me he would send a crew that Saturday to address the issue. No one showed up, and I received no call or message. I followed up again afterward and received no response. Problems can happen with any project. What matters to me is how a company handles them. I gave RLG multiple opportunities to address an issue during the warranty period, and they initially agreed to do so. They then missed the appointment and stopped communicating. A written warranty doesn't provide much peace of mind if the company doesn't respond when you need to use it. Based on my experience, I would not use RLG Landscaping again.
