The manager even went above and beyond by offering me a discount and some extra goodies for my son, which absolutely made my day--he's going to be so excited! She oversells items and then blames the buyer for issue. Mind you they were paid 4 days prior, and did not pull the item, nor ship quickly, leading to the now missing item. Then she would not repair fairly for her own mistake. It was completely House of Cars error , and you earned the bad feedback ! When you hold this business accountable for their listing and being paid in full for days, but not pulling sale item from their stock, she simply provides rude comment and blocks you. Check out their feedback to see all the recent issues and the woman's reply to each and her always snarky remarks. All complaints are similar with late ships and unavailable items. Inventory control appears lacking .... BBB complaint forthcoming as she took money and failed to notify of missing item for 4 full days. EBay case also opened on buyer. I hope House of Cars changes their policies, shipping times, and attitude. I would never revisit seller ... after three recent online purchases.

A bit pricey ( 1$ extra for one slice of tomato and 1$ extra for some shredded lettuce ) but they were good! And somebody was selling coffee too. We sat in the car to enjoy our lunch, then went back to the store for more bargains. The bookstore has some outside vendors too. The staff here have always been…read morefriendly, helpful, they have a comic section with books from the last year or so on the right side of the store which includes titles from Marvel, DC, Image, Dynamite, and a few titles from independents. I have not seen many back issues with the exception of wall comics. They have a pretty large area of clearance $1 comics on the left side of the store which seem to be 2-3 years old books. I like that these $1 boxes are on tables and my back appreciates that they are easy to sort through. They also have an inventory of collected editions which includes trade paperbacks, hardcovers, omnibus, and compendiums. The owner Kerry has tried to help me find some obscure current comic books a couple times which I appreciate. The staff have all been helpful and easy to work with. I believe they do a significant amount of business in trading card/game card these days, but still have a respectable comic offering.

They also have a small space where we've set up and opened packs. They are still pretty new (opened near the beginning of 2026, if I remember correctly), but they are a good place to check out if you are looking for sports or Pokemon, plus some odds and ends of other stuff, but primarily sports and Pokemon. Paul and Jason are the two guys that we've worked with and they are both super honest and fair with trades and sales. Prices are at or close to market, so don't go in thinking that you'll find MSRP, but for collectors who can't catch Pokemon drops (like us), it's a place to get some cards in this crazy time. They also host Play! Pokemon events and Jason is a certified Pokemon Master. I haven't been to a Play! Pokemon event yet myself, but I plan on checking some out in the coming weeks. Whether you are chasing top hits for your personal collection, trying to finish off a master set, or looking to add some graded slabs to your collection, they have you covered. They carry everything from vintage to modern, plus promos and sleeves. They also have a solid variety of sealed products for both Pokémon and sports, a nice small selection of One Piece and sports card singles, and even the latest viral dumplings and squishies. Since it's a newer shop, you can really feel it growing and improving every time you walk in. I'm excited to see how The Card Lab evolves as the local community builds around it.
