I live in Ceres but I decided to give this place a chance for the flexible hours and positive feedback I had read. The selection is amazing and the prices are extremely fair. There was even a $5 and $1 section. The owner was sincere, knowledgeable and appeared to truly love what he did. I came to look around and possibly buy 1 pop I didn't have and before I knew it I spent nearly $300 and went home with 20 new pops. It was a great experience all around, the prices, hours of operation, vast inventory, social and friendly ownership and even ample parking. I will be back for sure. read more

I'm such a bad sister for hunting a Christmas gift for my sister on Christmas Eve. I was very indecisive on what to get her, but I ended up deciding on getting a Funko Pop for her. Now, before you say that Funko Pops are such cop outs as gifts (which I kinda agree, generally speaking), there's a particular Funko Pop that I thought she would really like (Red Skull vs. Captain America Funko Pop scene.....forgot to take a picture of it before the gift-wrapping but I must say as a person who isn't the biggest fan of Funkos, it's a pretty cool one). To be honest I didn't have high hopes finding it here as it was sold out at all of the nearby Barnes & Noble stores, but to my surprise it was here! The very last one. Basically this place is a gold mine when it comes to Funko Pops. Disney Funkos, TV show Funkos, musical band Funkos. There are also some of the huge Funkos here. Not that I go to Funko shops often, but it seems like the Funkos here are less common than at the pop-up Funko shops at shopping centers. Aside from Funkos, there are aisles and aisles of action figures (there are particularly two huge aisles: one dedicated to Marvel/DC and the other dedicated to Star Wars). Shelves and boxes of comics are scattered around the shop. The shop has a cluttered, warehouse-y vibe to it, but in a charming way. This place isn't overwhelmingly huge; it's about the size of a small mart. Check this place out especially if you're into the Funko/comic scene. read more

First time I went to this place the owner was arguing with the employee and was telling them that their job is not hard to do and it was just very unprofessional. Customer service here is horrible, they don't even know what they have, when you call to ask about an item they give an excuse of there is so much inventory that they can't tell you if they have something, price is also horrible, it's very easy to find out that they do over price items and the fact that the place is disorganized and always have boxes of stuff not even priced show the lack of care they have. Also for some reason they like to use words like tranny to describe their items and try to use it over and over in every sentence. If the owner wants to replay with excuses for this I will inform them that I do have proof of this and hope they change or just close down, they are not helping the community or give any reason for anyone to come here. read more

Such a great shop! The older gentlemen in the shop are such a delight! Excellent customer service and they actually make you feel welcome to just browse and to shop. Let me tell you, that's kind of hard to find in a collectible shop. Most of the times the employees are jerks but I've been to this place several times with my kids and they are very pleasant! Now to the actual merch.... They have the best collections of Funko pops, transformers, comics, and stuff from different generational pop culture! My boyfriend was really excited about bringing me to this location on our way back to LA. There was not a lot of parking available near the store. But we lucked out that someone was leaving right when we were arriving. I was really surprised at how much they had to offer when it came to Funko pops with the more expensive ones being near or behind the counter. They mostly had the full common sets available, so if you wanted to buy a full set or looking for a particular pop to complete a set you could try your luck here. They also had other collectible items available for sale and even a small section of damage pops that you could buy for a great deal. I ended up not buying any pops since I was on the fence at the time with whether or not i should get Lock, Shock and Barrel at that time. But from what I remember, the prices were pretty good and they did have access to some pops from the specialty series as well. read more

My wife and I were in Joann's so she could get some embroidery thread, and while checking out, I mentioned how I wished there was a hobby section with model kits and supplies for the serious builder, because the only options available were going to Oakdale or Sacramento. The guy pointed us to Fantastic Collectables. So we go over. They were just closing, but were nice enough to let us in. The supply of kits was ok. Some good armor kits, too many hot rod/street car kits, and very few aircraft and ship kits. Forget supples, just a small selection of Testors small square bottles (probably for gamers), and hardly any supplies for serious kit builders. Worst though, was one employee who just wouldn't shut up and allow me to look at the stock available. I mean non-stop, non-sequeteur babble. Couldn't wait to get out of the shop. read more

Selection is great, service is not only terrible but racist. Stood in front of him, ready to pay and was never acknowledged. The white man he was talking to said 'go ahead' since he was not buying anything and the cashier, instead of acknowledging us then, proceeded to say 'yeah, go ahead! That's what you said the last time' and continued to ignore us. A Mexican woman and black man. But let's not ignore that he stared at us the whole time we were in the store as if we were going to steal something. Just to ignore us when we were ready to actually buy something. After years of seeing that business near the post office I finally went for a look. I was not disappointed with what I saw. He does carry all types of collectible figures but I loved the fact the he also had a selection of plastic model kits. All of the kits he has are sealed and many of them are no longer being made. He also had a decent selection of comic books. I will definitely come back in the future to what else he will have. read more

For me, this place is the happiest place on earth. It's a nerds dreamscape. I always find everything I'm looking for and more. All 3 of the guys there are cool as hell, it's like hanging out with good friends everytime I go, which is multiple times a week. I'm always laughing and leaving with a fat smile on my face everytime I go. Besides curl up in a corner and cry myself to sleep, I don't know what I'd do if this closed up shop. It's my go to place for ALL my comic books needs, comic book action figure needs, horror action figure needs, Sci fi action figure needs, pops needs but most of all its my go to place for having somewhere to go and be treated like a person. If you're a fan of comics, figurines, model kits, or even just the fan of a show, movie, you name it, then give this place a shot! I discovered Fantastic Collectibles about two years ago now, and I'm glad I did. They are easily the best place to get your Funko Pop dolls! They're by far the most reasonably priced, and you can even find exclusive ones there if you're lucky! Don't collect Funko? No problem. They also have the latest issues of many comics, as well as older ones. There's also PLENTY of other figurines and trinkets to explore, so many that at least one thing is guaranteed to sate your tastes. If there's anything you're looking for but don't see, just ask, everyone that works there is very nice, personable and easy to talk to, and above all, helpful. I highly recommend coming to see for yourself! It's a pretty small location, I honestly missed it a couple times when I just learned where it was, but it's worth noting Fantastic Collectibles has expanded their store in the last couple years - which makes me happy, especially since it's a small business! read more

Besides comics, they have the largest section dedicated to Marvel Legends I've ever seen. LOTS AND LOTS of other stuff for Marvel, DC, Star Wars, imports and lots of Funko Pops. Manteca is where I grew up and moved away 7 years ago after 35 years of living there. I looked up and saw Manteca had a comic shop and just had to stop in. They have stacks and stacks, boxes and boxes of back issues. Also love that they carry all true indy comics too. I barely scraped the top of the pile and pulled out a nice stack of comics. Was extremely happy with what I found. When I have a full day, going to just go and sit down going box by box. If I still lived in Manteca, I'd have a pull list here, because I know they would be able to get some of the more obscure books. Beyond comics, they have tons of Funko Pops. As I work to build a collection, this will be one place I'll call to find what I'm looking for. There are racks and racks filled with everything from new releases to retired Pops. Plus there are other awesome collectibles. Everywhere I turned, there was something awesome. Great father and son family owned shop. Good folks. read more

A ton of Awesome Action Figures_ Marvel, DC, Wrestling, Walking Dead, Fear the WD too. Comic books, graphic novels, a small but growing Manga / Anime section. Ultra friendly, knowledgeable staff was very helpful. Tough parking, limited but typical small indie store hours. This store is a must visit. read more
