Horrible the crabs were mushy, overcooked, burnt and soft and the owner was not willing replace them.

You need to stop scrolling and give me your eyes cause you got to read this review…read more ***Special edition, excited Southerner best food by far in Maryland to date*** It's Friday night, we wanna try something we haven't gone to yet..we end up in Perry Hall and we go to Lib's Grill.. so this location is right down from Liberatore's Ristorante A glass of Cabernet, J got a lemon basil crush Split 6 LGO MD raw oysters big juicy and so flavorful Got the crab deviled eggs, eyes rolled back in our head y'all.. But Here's where it just got interesting Vodka chicken Parmesan.. sounds simple right I Cannot Express the TBO J and I both had with our first bite.. When I tell you that the Pasta, I mean the noodles y'all, the pasta was the best pasta we've ever had...amazing and then the chicken Parm was juicy, crisp on the outside, baked cheesy on top... just probably the best chicken Parm we've ever had.. put two of them together and I just can't even finish thi..... Okay just kidding, I've got to finish to tell you about the amazing people behind the incredible food.. We told Patrina that we weren't from around here and it was our first time at Lib's.. She was the best first impression you could have had... told us the history of the Lib family how they are the Perry Hall staple of the area. Vic was our server and he was wonderful, answering questions and very knowledgeable. Michelle was the mgr on the evening we were there and came out when we wanted to rave over the meal... when she found out we were new to the area, she came back to the table with her top picks for dining in the area. Really... wow! The deck was enclosed but was an open space that made you feel like you were outside without the draft. I could go on and on, but really, stop reading and navigate here Right now What makes you think I'm kidding Put down that mediocre food This is way better than what your stuffing your face with Y'all

2/15/26 Update!…read more Lib's Grill has become our regular pit stop on the way to D.C. We have become "regulars" and our server that we ask for every time, (Brenna) is a bright light and always provides us with amazing service that keeps us coming back! We all enjoyed our lunch and I have to say, Lib's Grill was rocking! It was President's Weekend Holiday and every table was taken for brunch/lunch. Our meals, once again were all really good and service was top notch. Thank you, Brenna, (and team), for making our meal a memorable one, once again. I'll provide some updated photos to keep this review as fresh as the food and service! :)

So it cost me $10-15 to for a plastic takeout container. Had I not looked at the customer copy of the bill I would have not only not known but I would have tipped based on the total which already included the additional gratuity charge (which was not disclosed on the merchant copy). This is so unnecessary and ruined what would have been a good experience. They said it was a "sharing charge" which I have experienced and applies when u have another diner with you and u decide to split an entree. Had they disclosed I would at least had the option to finish the meal. The saying "stepping over dollars to pick up pennies " seems to apply as this left such a bad taste I doubt I will return despite the fact the crab cake was delicious and the loaded baked potato was average (hardly loaded) Beware of the hidden gratuity for take home leftovers!!! Update to above: I did follow up with Angie this morning and she was very kind and offered to credit back my card for the extra gratuity. She also explained that I was misled about the "sharing charge" but they do automatically add 15% gratuity regardless of party size or quality of service. So I would give 4 stars for the food quality and 1 star for the way in which they present and charge gratuity. Tipping should remain at the discretion of the diner based on service and food quality otherwise just get rid of tipping and raise your prices

I suspect Captain Jim runs his ships all the same, no matter where they are located, so I'll put it here - but if the Captain is still in the same spot next year, I'll start the new Yelp page then. My grandfather lived in Dundalk all his life, and he was a tremendously important person in my life. He passed some time ago and is buried at... one of those cemeteries on German Hill, right across the street from Captain Jim's. I like to visit him on his birthday, and Christmas if I have the chance. This year would have been his 99th birthday. I put a box of Butterfinger candies on his headstone because they were his favorite, and decided that I would get some steamed crabs in his honor because they were also one of his favorite things (and I had the money). We were originally going to get the crabs somewhere else, but figured, 'hey, Captain Jim's is right here. Why not give them a try?' We weren't disappointed. It took about 20 minutes for them to freshly steam 3 dozen small males, and a pound of shrimp for us. It wasn't much more than $50 (which is what I had on hand from my grandmother, who has been without my grandfather for at least 15 years now). The scent of the (I'm guessing) J.O2 seasoning filled our van, and the steam from the crabs actually fogged our windows. I spent about 8 hours picking crabs. I find the activity so calming, and could do it all the time if my arthritic elbows and shoulders didn't throw an absolute fit the next day. The crabs were delicious and made me happy, and isn't that the point? We got two different butters to dip the crab in, but that's not really my thing. My boyfriend said that the plain butter tasted woody, and he didn't like that, but the garlic butter was a hit and he has used the leftover butter to make at least one dinner so far. The shrimp were lovely, and came with cocktail sauce, and steamed onions because what's the point of steamed shrimp if not to get some onions as well? I think we did right by my grandfather. Would recommend

Our server was the bartender and she was pretty attentive. I ordered an ice pick to drink (vodka and tea). There was hardly any vodka in it lol. White claw flavors are limited - only black cherry and lime. Fortunately they have surfside tea. I ordered hush puppies which were delicious, but they were served with a little container of cold butter spread? I would have thought they'd serve with melted butter. I also got an order of wings and they weren't that great. So much breading, not really hot, and not cooked crispy like I asked. Prices were very reasonable though. Overall it wasn't a bad experience, but nothing amazing.

Huge tv's hugged the upper walls, grabbing the attention of patrons. Honestly, I was bored by being pummeled with sports. The young lady behind the bar said to sit anywhere, all there were was the hightops and bar stools, we prefer a low table, there were none, maybe way in the back where no one was seated. She brought over the 2-sided menus, I asked what they do well here, as it was our first visit. She made her recommendations, and my husband got the cheesesteak sub with French fries (upcharge). I ordered the chicken wings with ranch and celery (8 for $10.95), not bad! She said they were good here, also the hamburgers , I can't remember what else they do well, other than the crab cake. We did not order anything with alcohol, so I am at a loss there. They do have beer on tap and bottles. The cheesesteak was good, fresh roll and tasty meat. The fries were as expected, nothing outstanding. Just good for bar food. My chicken wings were not puny, just normal size and market value, had them made to be mild. This came with celery (quite fresh and crunchy), the ranch was poured off into a plastic cup. Both orders came in plastic baskets, and a paper plate for bone discard. Plenty of napkins. Have to hand it to them, in-between sports, they played music and they sure do have a kicking stereo system, really great quality. It was a welcome break. She did visit once to make sure all was Ok and any needs. All was fine. The bill came , I checked it and gave her my cc, she returned and the bill was altered and the price of the cheesesteak went up $3! Honestly, I did not say anything or check the bill against the menu, which was put away. I just chalked it up as an oversight on the server's part. She did not say anything about the price adjustment either. I can understand a mistake in the charge. Just say something. I guess I am overreacting at this point. Sigh.
