The donuts here are incredibly fresh, wow! With a bright and fun interior, after ordering your donuts, you can watch them be assembled. The service is great! The young lady helping us recommended the boardwalk which she said tasted like a fried Oreo and she was right! My mom got the maple bacon and said it was excellent. I'm a vegetarian so I wasn't able to try it, but it sure looked good. In addition to the boardwalk, I got the strawberry cream which was very sweet! If you have a sweet tooth, it is perfect for you. The cream actually cut the sweetness a bit which was nice. Three donuts was under $10. They also do breakfast sandwich donuts which I'm keen to try next time. They cater for events which is such a cool idea for a party or shower. They have limited seating inside, one table with two chairs and a bar with four stools so you might want to take your order to go. Highly recommend and would go back there! read more

When you have a sweet tooth, it's hard to find any faults with a donut shop. This Duck Donuts in Whippany had no faults that I could see, just delicious donuts! It took a long time for this shop to open, and I had it bookmarked for quite a while, but I finally got there! Unlike many donut shops, the donuts are not sitting in a display case. You order either at the counter or kiosk and then your donut is prepared. There are lots of great choices on the "fan favorites" menu, I went for the Raspberry Fluff which has raspberry and marshmallow drizzled over vanilla icing. What's not to love? I stopped by this location to pick up some treats for a party. The donuts are made fresh to order and so cute. I ordered a variety pack of the Duck Dozen to go, and watched as they started with naked donuts popped fresh out of the donut maker, then added various coatings and toppings to each individual creation. The flavors are cool and interesting. The texture of the donuts is cakey/spongy, more like a cider donut than a pastry donut like at Dunkin' or Krispy Kreme. Because they're made on the spot, it does take a few minutes, depending on the size of your order, so you shouldn't be in too much of a hurry. Some might find the texture a bit soggy, just FYI, these are not crispy donuts by any stretch even on the surface, but I do like them a lot. Why four stars instead of five? Price. To me, if you want donuts, do Dunkin because they still keep the prices reasonable and you still get good stuff. Krispy kreme? Way overpriced, ridiculous, forget them entirely to be honest as delicious as they're plain donuts might be it's downright offensive how overpriced they are. This place? Very disappointed in the service. It was my first time coming here and it wasn't even busy. There were two people working a man and younger girl, maybe high school age. The guy was not helpful at all and I felt bad for the girl she was doing everything for the customers. I was having trouble using the kiosk to pay and I asked the guy for help and he said 'what are you trying to do', didn't even come over so the young lady came over to help and ended up taking our order at the counter. We asked for straws because my husband ordered a drink with boba and the girl asked the guy where the milkshake straws were and he said just use a regular one. We explained the drink has boba and he still didn't move to help find them. I also orders a latte and it was disgusting. The milk to coffee ratio was not right. Overall wouldn't waste money coming here for the lack of service and the the food. read more

You can choose from different kind of glaze and different kind of topping.. what to hate about that? The store is kinda small so it might get lost when it was packed with people!! There is a ONE kiosk to order if you know what you want and it was pretty simple.. but if you have no idea what you want to get, you might want to check out the menu first... because it would be a little overwhelming if you try to search the kiosk no knowing what you want and a line is building behind you.. t you can also head to the back of the store where there is 1 register where you u can order from, but on a busy day.. this can be quiet crazy... they are working super hard and the order always come out looking amazing and tasting fresh!!! Well there goes my diet!! Today I went to check out Duck Donuts in Whippany, NJ. I arrived at their quiet time which was good so I wouldn't have to wait long. We ordered from the kiosk so we could look at each donut they had , you can build your own donut as well. They have coffee, espresso and other drinks. They do serve breakfast donut sandwiches. We ended up picking: Cinnamon bun The boardwalk Peanut butter paradise And Midnight madness I ordered a cappuccino as well with an extra shot of espresso. The donuts are a good size and super decadent! They are cake like donuts and not airy. Their seasonal donut is cotton candy but im not a fan of cotton candy flavored anything. It's a lot of fun to pick individual donuts and watch them get made to order. The donuts themselves are nice. Cake style, with a lemony acidic touch for lift. The flavors that sound sweet, like chocolate caramel crunch, really kind of are. When I went, on a Saturday, it was slammed inside. There's really nowhere to dine in. So any donuts you don't eat right away will be short of fresh. I'd go with ordering at the kiosk, where you'll feel less judged for taking your time to order. You can also order for pickup, but you might then miss them making your donuts. I hope the overwhelmed staff learns in the coming weeks to keep up with the influx. SO tasty. Maybe the best donut I've ever had. It's very different from a Dunkin or Krispy Cream donut. They give you the donuts hot. Each donut's topping is prepared when you order - so they are not sitting around and getting mushy. The donuts have a slight crisp on the edges, which I like. The cake is light, but not too light where it tastes like a floppy piece of cake. I like that these taste fresh and not overly sweet. I love this branch of donuts. My husband and I first heard of them down in North Carolina and just loved how fresh each donut was made. So good with a cup of iced coffee or tea. Down there, they had brewed iced tea. Hopefully they make some up here, but still the best donuts in town! Service was quick and they were very kind. Very busy. Ambiance was fine. Visited the Whippany location last Friday for my first experience with donuts of duck. These donuts are all what they are quacked up to be. :) About $1.95 per donut, and so worth getting closer to diabetes. I asked for a dozen from their menu (variety pack), although you have a plethora of options. Very dangerous. As well, the case sat in my car until I got home from work. Basically warmed a few up in the microwave and dear Lord. Finished the rest the next day, and still, just another memorable journey. 100% would return. It did take about 25 minutes for the order to complete, however they were busy. As well, the donut designer took his time garnishing each of these tender beauties. So respect to that.
