I discovered Duck Donuts when we first moved to Norfolk and have been a regular for the past 4 years! There is nothing better than fresh donuts and my toddler always gets a kick out of watching them get decorated (the rubber ducks changing with the seasons is a plus too). We went this past Friday to pick up donuts as a thank you/good bye gift for my daughter's teachers. They were busier than I'm used to - apparently a close location shut down so this one is getting their customers. The two employees were so upbeat even though there were orders steadily flowing in store and the drive thru. I kept reassuring them that I wasn't in a rush, but they kept updating me as each order was completed as to which step mine was on. They even filled one of my half dozen orders early so that my toddler was able to snack while she waited! Of course when all of our donuts were ready, they were perfect!

Service was a bit slow. I ordered a vanilla milkshake and it was okay, not the best vanilla shake I've ever had though. I was impressed by how clean and organized everything is kept. I will return for donuts on my next visit.

I love the cleanliness of the storm

If you'd like donuts, this is a must you must stop here! Every time I come to Virginia Beach to visit my daughter, this is one of my stops and what's most impressive is that the donut shop !is spotless to clean the bathroom is clean and then employees are pleasant

I had previously eaten at a duck donuts in another city and was not a fan, but they had such fun flavors so I wanted to try it again. This location was a lot better. I don't event know what I got, but the peanut butter paradise and peanut butter and jelly were my favorites. The peanut butter frosting was so good. Omg. I'm going to come back and just get a box of everything peanut butter. The French toast one was good too as well as the sandy beach. My mom loved the maple bacon. We also got Oreo, strawberry sprinkle, s'mores, the mega chocolate one, blueberry pancakes or whatever, blueberry lemonade, raspberry lemon, idk what else. I also bought a shit ton of ducks too. I bought all the doctor, nurse and pharmacist ducks they had. I think there were 11 of them. I bought them for my mom to take to her treatment team. They loved them. I also got a selfie with Ollie, the duck. The store was clean and the employees were friendly. I also liked the little duck feet on the floor. They were cute. I'm glad this store is so close to my house because I will definitely be back!

I am such a fan of cake-style donuts. These mini cake donuts are so moist and so darn delicious! These will be the "death of me"! I like the fact that I can customize a donut on the spot. I have tried several different donuts but the plain cinnamon sugar will always be the one for me!

Friendly staff and great donuts. The restaurant was clean and the ambiance was very relaxed.

Today is thankful Thursday, and I just want to give a shoutout to Ducks Donuts! Thank you Ducks donuts for coming into my life, and blessing my stomach, and my heart by having a multitude of locations. The hubs and I were stopping by Hobby lobby, and I knew there was a Ducks nearby to satisfy my sweet tooth. There are several in Virginia Beach, so whichever one you go to, your loved ones, and your stomach will love you. I noticed that seasonally Ducks rolls out different flavors and toppings. I was craving apple, so it made sense to order a half dozen of fall assortment. I also compromised with the hubs so he could order his three choices ;) I highly recommend the apple pie as it's dressed with vanilla icing, apple streusel, and cinnamon sugar. The donut cake texture is soft and moist. It's made fresh to order, and the combination of toppings will make anyone salivate. My other choice was caramel apple pie, pumpkin roll, glazed, peanut butter paradise, and vanilla icing with salted caramel drizzle. Needless to say it made it into the car less than a minute, before we both took a bite out of the donut. There is usually a line which indicates Ducks is doing it right. The employees are sweet and friendly, cute packaging, product is fresh and delicious, and price is affordable. We will be back!!! Support local and Thank you Ducks Donuts!!

What a funnnnn place to get donuts! I visited and had no idea what time do. You basically pick all your toppings or order from a list of donuts that they make already. The donuts are all made fresh and hot, so all the icing and toppings are all melty...and really hot so please be cautious and let them cool down a bit. This was also a plus because it's summer and I was worried about them melting in the car, so the car just acted as our donut warmer as we shopped around the area. 4 stars because they literally forgot to make ONE donut out of the 2 dozen we ordered and it happened to be their "Best Seller" with bacon on it. Suuuuper disappointed. Out of all the ones to forget to make, y'all picked that one

My wife and kids enjoy creating warm, made-to-order donuts here, customized with varieties of coatings, toppings and drizzles (and occasional a la mode treats). I'm not a cake donut guy but their favorite include lemon with powder sugar topping, maple bacon, chocolate peanut butter, cinnamon roll, lemon blueberry and cookies n cream. Coffee here is average tasting, not terrible but not award winning either. This location does a nice job welcoming you with their cleanliness and overt greetings from employees; it's also a fun experience seeing them prepare the treats behind the clear sneeze guards. Amidst the wide open service floor there are 2 benches for folks that want to devour their goodies ASAP. This spot also has a drive thru if you'd rather binge in private - "LOOK AWAY!" My biggest gripes are the price ($14 for a dozen) and the HORRIBLE one-way parking lot that requires a 3 point turn when entering the driveway from Va Beach Blvd. Seeing the sugary smiles on my kids' faces makes me ok with the cost as a once in a while treat but the lot orientation should change soon!!

It happened to be Restaurant Week, which made us a little nervous, but it ended up being totally fine. The dining room never felt overly crowded, the noise level was comfortable, and having the Restaurant Week prix fixe, drink specials, and regular menu all available gave us plenty of options without feeling overwhelming. One small note: the plastic logo cups served with the water decanter felt a little out of place. They were a bit sharp on the lips and didn't quite match the rest of the dining experience. Minor detail, but noticeable. The drinks, however, were excellent. On our server's recommendation, my husband ordered the Gingerbread Old Fashioned and I had the Salted Caramel Martini. Both were seasonal specials and both were fantastic. When we asked about the scotch eggs, our server explained they're normally a brunch-only item. We were a little disappointed (and may have made a few pouty faces while explaining we'd come specifically for them for his birthday), but we quickly let it go, it obviously wasn't her fault. What we didn't realize was that she went back and told the kitchen manager that it was his birthday and that we'd made the trip just for those scotch eggs. Since the kitchen wasn't slammed, they decided to make them anyway and surprised us with an order. We were honestly floored. My husband was thrilled. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare. And the scotch eggs were exactly what he'd been hoping for! They were crispy on the outside with a rich, savory center. For entrées, his Nashville Hot Chicken was juicy with the perfect amount of heat without being overwhelming. My Haystack Burger was stacked and delicious, though the BBQ sauce was strong enough to overshadow the pickled green tomato a bit. The fries were fantastic - crispy, battered, and perfect from first bite to last. Our server checked in at all the right times and kept drinks refilled without us needing to ask. The fact that she went out of her way to do something special during one of the busiest weeks on a restaurant's calendar says a lot about both her and the restaurant. Rustic Spoon is the kind of place that works just as well for a casual date night as it does for a birthday dinner or a night out with friends.

She and the person she was training were very friendly. Food: we applaud the concept and the risk to infuse various cultures into the menu. Portion size for a $5 side of home fries was disappointing we are thinking it was maybe a half of a potato. The menu is diverse and the price point isn't bad. Ambiance: ok, we sat outside. I already knew this was my destination as I had been following them since they opened in VB. Upon our arrival we found the Cafe about a 1/4th of the way full so I had hopes for breakfast in a quiet setting. Even though there was a steady flow of traffic, we were able to dine in a relaxed setting without feeling rushed. I mention this because with it being a holiday weekend full of Jeepers, I fully expected them to be packed. The wait to order was too long as it left me staring at the pastry window so long I almost ordered one of everything however; I refrained from doing so but still bought 4 pastries, French toast & seasoned potatoes. Yes yes, alot of food for 1 person but I still had 2 days left in my visit and well, I have a thing for pastries. The pastries were: mango & passion fruit eclair, a pineapple muffin, lemon raspberry cake & profiteroles. I loved everything with the exception of the eclair. It wasn't anything against the eclair, it's just the mango/passionfruit mixture was just too passionate for my tastes. The muffin reminded me of my own homemade upside pineapple cake without all the brown sugar. It was light and buttery. The Lemon raspberry slice was delightful & not the least bit tart or too sweet. A mixture of both flavors without either one overpowering the other. The cake was super moist, perfect. The profiteroles were my favorite. They reminded me of that feeling I had the 1st time I tasted them while living in Italy. The choux perfectly baked and so delightfully light. The French toast was good enough without the side of syrup. The star for me of the breakfast items were the potatoes. I LOVED them. They were served HOT, seasoned just right with their insides softer that a baby bottom. I coulda just ordered 2 servings of those & bypassed the toast. All in all, well worth the wait. You order at the register, and the staff brings the food out to your table. Everyone was attentive, and we had no issues with the service. We ordered the waffle plate, which came topped with fruit alongside eggs and their house sausage. We also tried the Huevos Rancheros, the Sausage Egg & Cheese sandwich, and a build-your-own omelette. For drinks, we ordered the brown sugar cold brew, dulce de leche cold brew, drip coffee, and an espresso martini. The waffle was huge, and the sides were great. My only complaint was that it could have used more fruit, as there were only a few small pieces. The Huevos Rancheros were delicious and came with a generous serving of avocado. The only thing that caught us off guard was the lack of salsa, since in traditional Huevos Rancheros the salsa is a key component. Even so, the dish was still flavorful and filling. The omelette was excellent, and the breakfast sandwich was equally delicious. I was especially impressed by the house-made jam, house-made hot sauce, and the perfectly seasoned home fries. As for the drinks, the brown sugar cold brew was excellent, but the dulce de leche version was far too sweet for my taste. From what I understood, they use two flavored syrups to make it, and I think using smaller portions of each would create a better balance. We ended up adding oat milk and some drip coffee to tone it down. The drip coffee itself was solid and came with free refills. The espresso martini really tied brunch together for me -- strong, well-made, and delicious. Overall, we really enjoyed both the food and the experience, and we'll definitely be back.
