The difference between Duck Donuts and others is the freshness. These donuts are cooked up constantly throughout the day in identical plain batches and then dipped and topped to order. So yes, all donuts are made from the same dough. Yet though they all bear the same divine image, each donut does it a little differently. But you're here for a scrumptious sugary treat, not a theology metaphor. And Duck Donuts does that and then some. I should caution that these are not 'car donuts'. Ideally, you'll want a table and probably a fork. These donuts are sticky with icing glopping off the sides and spilling over heaps of sprinkles. It's been a long time since I had a fresh, made-to-order donut, and the difference is night and day. They have an array of flavors, and because they are the same base, the batter comes out and down the conveyor belt when ordered and then topped with the unique flavors. I got the s'mores flavor, which is always a solid flavor combo, but they had a great balance between the deep chocolate, light marshmallow, and crumbly graham cracker without being too heavy or decadent. The donuts are very reasonably-priced as well. This location had a decent-sized parking lot and space inside to eat your treat if you'd like. When I went, it was empty so I was able to get my donut fast, but I imagine if it's busy, the custom creations can take longer, but it's worth it. The donut really melted in my mouth. Its interior is very colorful that gives it a fun vibe. Ambiance rate: 8/10. The staff were very friendly. They are the ones who make and decorate the donuts for you warm and fresh right on the spot. The service was relatively quick. Staff/service rate: 8.5/10. You have the option to order their signature donut items or you can make your own. You also have the option to make customizations/substitutions to their signature donuts which I did. I ordered a half dozen donuts which consisted of: 1. Cinnamon Sugar Cream: Had a really strong and sweet cinnamon flavor, especially the cream on top! Rate 8/10. 2. The Boardwalk: This was average since it lacked cookies and cream flavor. Rate 5/10. 3. PB Paradise Cream: This was so delicious! I loved the combo of the cream and peanut butter! Rate 9.5/10. 4. Glazed Magical Charms (seasonal): This was mediocre since it lacked a marshmallow taste. My husband promised to our daughter Valentine's donuts. We want to get a 1/2 dozen but the flavors we want for Valentines is in the menu of 1 dozen, they don't have a 1/2 dozen Valentines donuts option, they have a option to add two flavors from that menu in our regular 1/2 dozen it would be 8 donuts in total for $23 when the cost of the 1 dozen is $26. I was explaining my husband what option would work for us and the lady who took care us interrupted me in the middle when we were trying to decide for us what we can get, a few minutes before one young lady came from the back and just trying to help us and the RUDE lady cut her in the middle too. I started to realized this lady is being RUDE, finally my husband ordered any flavor just I want to finish the order and the time we are waiting the order the lady brought at the table one extra donut. Looks like she realized I was not happy at all and thank you to her for trying to take care us in the end. Finally arrived at home and I see the size of the donuts completely reduced the size. Worth the hype!!! The donuts are fresh and you can watch them decorate the donuts w/ your desired flavors. Definitely give yourself some time because it can take a 15-25 to make a dozen donuts (depending on wait)! It's expensive but a worthy alternative to a birthday cake or celebration dessert. These donuts are like "quack" lol They definitely are moist, cakey and delicious. Obviously one of their selling points here is that donuts are "Made to order". But with that, it does come with PROs and CONs. PROs: Made-to-order means eating those donuts fresh and warm. And who doesnt like fresh donuts? I had some fresh and they were soo good, you cant just have one. CONs: there will be a wait. Of course it'll vary on number of people, staff and number of orders but there will be waiting nonetheless. Give or take 10-15mins. But good things are worth the wait right? Also, Made-to-order means warm donuts, and although thats great it does tend to melt the glaze. It ruins the "look" of the donut and makes a sticky mess in the box. Not the end of the world but you know lol Anyhoo, the staff here so far were great, works efficiently and makes great donuts! Havent tried any drinks and other things from the menu yet but im Hoping they're good. Oh and they have an app you can order ahead from and earn points. I was heading to see some friends so I decided to get a dozen. For 21 bucks, a dozen artisan and fresh donuts is a steal. The workers were all so friendly. Everyone probably asks a million questions and takes a long time ordering and I was no different. They were still attentive and super helpful. I got a nice mix of a ton of different flavors. Within minutes my donuts were freshly fried and dipped, drizzled and topped with delicious treats. I tried a few but I have to say a plain chocolate glazed may have been my favorite. The texture of these donuts is really something else. I expected them to be a little more on the cakey side but they pleasantly surprised me. They're right in the middle of a cake and yeast donut. Airy and light but still chewy. Absolutely delicious. No complaints here. With a friendly staff, easy ordering and quick service, what's not to love? read more

The menu does a great job setting you up for how to order when you get to the counter. They've got plenty of staff so don't fear if you see a long line; your order will take a reasonable amount of time. We got 6 donuts, freshly made and coated. Thankfully there wasn't a line when I stood there debating the pros and cons, asking the nice guy for a recommendation before completely ignoring it and then wishing I hadn't ignored it and then landing on Peanut Butter Paradise. Yes it's basic and yes it's amazing. Also selected cinnamon sugar for one daughter and cookies and cream for the other daughter. Wanted to eat them on the ride home but held out. They make them to order while you're standing there. They cannot get any fresher. The doughnut itself is perfectly cooked, dough tastes great. The toppings are deftly added by the worker and were also excellent! The worker at the counter was pleasant, the worker making the donuts went the extra mile. She heard my wife say that my daughter would prefer cookies and cream over S'Mores and mentioned that she could alter the order because it hadn't been made yet.
