Great bagels, friendly service, clean atmosphere, and convenient location! So many gluten free options for those with dietary restrictions.

I've been visiting this location for many years thanks to them serving tons of gluten-free options including bagels and pastries. Their gluten-free bagels have definitely improved over the years and my recent visit provided to be the best ones yet. I went a little pastry crazy and got a ton of things, all of which were rather tasty. My SO got a gf Boston cream donut that is probably the best one I've had since going gf. Most importantly, they had huge jumbo soft pretzels, I couldn't even tell you the last time I was able to go out and buy one. It was heated up for me and I scarfed down most of it in the car, nearly weeping at how good it was. One problem is that items in the pastry cases are not labeled, so I was stuck having to take up time asking what items were. Like most bagel shops, it can be annoying when you're trying to figure out lines and how the ordering is processed by those behind the counter. I was waiting in what clearly looked like the line and then proceeded to be ignored when it was my turn. Thankfully, the pretzel is certainly worth the aggravation of ordering.

    The dessert case greets you.

An average bagel place (though they may sell more desserts than bagels) where you can grab a seat and stay a while... ordered a toasted jalapeño bagel with scallion cream cheese and lox. The bagel didn't give much heat, so don't expect much of the jalapeños. The cream cheese was spread a bit thin, and I found myself wishing there was just a little more (see photo). The half sour pickles were good so that helped. Good selection of teas and the coffee is good.

First and foremost, when I placed my order I had to repeat it multiple times. From that moment I knew my order was going to be messed up. The person at the front ensured me that it would be correct. I took the order and I should have opened the sandwiches while I was there but I was in a rush so took the order and left. As expected, the egg sandwich was wrong. It was even requested to have a runny egg (over easy) and as you can tell by the photo it was really well done. Secondly, I ordered the bagel with scallion cream cheese and as you can tell by the photo looks like they didn't even put any cream cheese and just picked out of couple pieces of scallions and placed them on the bagel. I was beyond disappointed. It probably doesn't help that all but 1 worker speaks Spanish and not English. The only reason this gets even one star is because I called to make the gentleman that insured me my order was correct that it was indeed wrong and asked for a refund; and he sent the refund.

Bagel itself was decent but tuna sandwich was not good. Tuna had a twang to it & sandwich was skimpy. It didn't even come with lettuce.

The highlight was definitely the Stuffed French Toast. It looked beautiful, and I expected it to be overly sweet, but it was surprisingly well balanced. The toast was soft with a slightly crispy exterior, and the cream cheese filling paired really well with the strawberry compote. We also ordered the BLT+. The smoked bacon was delicious, but the focaccia was a little too thin and hard, making it harder to eat than I expected. The house-made sausage was good, just not particularly memorable. As for the coffee, it was probably the most disappointing part of the meal. The latte wasn't very smooth, and the cold brew had a slight off taste. They were both drinkable, just not something I'd order again. Overall, I'd recommend this place for the food and the atmosphere, especially if you're interested in the French toast. There's also parking behind the restaurant, which makes visiting easy.

The food was fresh (how did they find a flawless avocado in the middle of winter???) and the flavors delicious. The service was outstanding -- weekend brunch was packed, and they put your name on a list in case you want to walk around town while you're waiting. Don't go too far, because somehow they're able to move the tables without making folks feel rushed. Each person we encountered -- the host, the folks at the counter, our server -- was nicer than the last. I got a bowl that had slightly cooked spinach, poached eggs, sweet potatoes and that GOHgeous avocado I mentioned above. One thing I really liked about this bowl is that it didn't have rice in it -- something that would've made it too overwhelming. This was the perfect combo and portion size. Someone else in our small group got the avocado toast (more avocado!!) and also said it was excellent. Definitely plan to return!

Overall all the dishes were good. Steak was cooked well. But the pieces were thick. I wish it had more flavor. The chimichurri sauce on the steak saved the dish. Pancakes were fluffy and little sweet, my daughter liked it. The service was decent as well. Both the owners (father & son) were present at the restaurant, helping out rest of the staff. One of them stopped by our table to check on our dining experience. Overall we had a wonderful brunch time here.

We're so glad we did, because this hole in the wall turned out to be a diamond in the rough. With a nondescript exterior and limited signage, Foodies Diner is easy to miss. It's in an area with mainly houses and mixed use commercial buildings, but the space inside is cozy. I especially appreciated the way the owner greeted everyone who enters and thanked everyone who leaves with notable warmth and small-town friendliness. The menu reads like a true diner - with all-day breakfast and brunch options, as well as standard lunch fare. We ordered a Santa Fe salad and an L.A. burger - which comes with avocado, bacon, onion, lettuce, and tomatoes. The burger was pretty standard, but having it delivered on a warm brioche bun feels a little bit special. The accompanying fries were also great - crisp and potatoey on the inside. The salad, on the other hand, was a near triumph. Served on a large platter, there was a small field of well-seasoned chicken, shredded cheddar, vegetables, avocado, pico de gallo, and - best yet - some pieces of warm, toasted pita. I even sprinkled some pieces of bacon from my burger into this salad, and wow did that take it over the top. I dug into this salad with fair gusto and would absolutely come back for it...which is saying something, since I wouldn't expect to fall in love with a salad at a diner. Service was fantastic, and we were pleased with how reasonably priced our meal turned out to be. There's plenty of parking - either right out front or in the lot further back.

The potato was shaped like the Fritos scoop chip, and the cheese dip that came with it had chunks of cheese in a melted cheese sauce. For my main, got the pulled pork sandwich ($16), which came in a pretzel knot bun and creamy slaw. It was solid meal and very filling.
