So many good flavors!
Jonathan Z.

They've got quite the operation here. Order on one side, pick up on the other side. Lots of cute merch on the order side too. So many options, it could be overwhelming. Fun for the kids to watch the donuts get cooked and decorated on the pick-up side. Pretty efficient system and service and not a very long wait. Love the S'mores, Blueberry Streusel, Peach Cobbler, and Oreo. Def more of a denser, cakey donut and they may fall apart when you eat them fresh out of the fryer. Def the opposite of a Krispy Crème (light and airy) donut so if you like them heavy and cakey, you'll love these donuts

Lets start with the fact that they shorted us 1 of the donuts we ordered. None of the woman fixing the donuts had their shirts ducked in, so as they worked on fixing a Doughnut their dirty disgusting t shirt would drag over a previous made donuts in our order. This is serious health violation and I can't believe I am the only one that has noticed. I ended up microwaving the donuts hoping to kill any germs left during the preparation. My maple bacon Doughnut was good, but the wife thought her donuts were just average. We won't be going back.

Always great service and quality. We got the Maple bacon, Bacon in the sun, PB paradise, Beach ball, Boardwalk, Raspberry fluff, strawberry shortcake, Coffee cake, French toast, Glazed, Sand dollar. All delicious

Duck Donuts can be found in several cities and locations now, but it is still cool to go to the original in Duck. The selections can be kind of overwhelming. We went with the party pack and they were all delicious. The employees were really helpful and friendly.

I'm so glad we stopped here on vacation! The staff was very friendly. Everything was clean and they had lots of plates, napkins, utensils and hand wipes. The donuts were also amazing. They were fresh and I love that they're made to order. We absolutely loved these and will definitely miss them. My favorites were the cookie butter cream and the maple bacon!

we got the 6 random made by the donut makers the blueberry was 10/10

this place was the best donuts we have ever had! came all the way from california with a duck donut recommendation and a dream!

Still my must stop when in Duck. They have expanded a bit since my last visit. Still a nice reward after doing my morning walk. Service is very good. Longest part is the line to order. Several picnic tables to enjoy your donuts while looking at the sound.

Went to the location in Duck, NC in OBX. You order from a kiosk or a staff member. If you know what you want, use the kiosk. If it's your first time or have questions, order from the staff. Then you go back outside across the deck to pick up your order which they will call you by number. This is to help with the flow when they are very busy. Be ready for a sugar rush. When I got into my 3rd donut my face started to tingle. If you are visiting OBX they have several locations to choose from, you got to try it at least once. In my photos here is what I got. Starting top left to right: Coconut Island Bliss, Chocolate Covered Strawberry, Raspberry Fluff Bottom left to right:Blueberry Crumble ,Bourbon Caramel Apple Pie (seasonal), Midnight Madness (my favorite)

Staying in Nags Head but made the northward pilgrimage this morning to the original Duck's location. Really glad I did. Duck, NC is a bird sanctuary, no fireworks allowed, and is an incredibly charming place. You order and get your coffee/merch in one location, then walk a few steps into another building where there's nothing but the glorious production of donuts made to your specifications and served warm and fresh, right out of the fryer. The lady at the order counter was friendly and helpful, while the donut makers were less talkative, focusing diligently on their craft. I can respect that. Be sure to take a stroll on the connected boardwalk to take in the many great neighboring shops/restaurants and the gorgeous vistas of Currituck Sound.

Great owners and customer service. They really want to make things right! The kids loved their donuts.

So I'll be completely honest and tell you that this was on my bucket list irregardless of how many calories I was about to consume. But it turned out that I could literally only take one small bite from two of them and I had to put the fork down. They smell amazing, they're absolutely beautiful to look at, kinda pricey (i think it was $3 a doughnut). But honestly, even one doughnut is a lot for a person to partake. They have a smart setup where you order on one side and you collect your order across the patio in another building so as to avoid any traffic jams. I can take it off my bucket list, I've tried it.

Duck donuts always gets a 5/5. This particular location in Duck is located in the boardwalk and the set up is so cute. On one side you order all your donuts and then through their other entrance you can watch them freshly make and decorate your donuts. I ordered the blueberry lemonade and the French Toast. The blueberry lemonade was by far the winner.

Would normally give this place 5 out of 5 stars...but the prices and parking could both use some adjusting, that being said DELICIOUS donuts. To me the donuts tasted more cake like and were much easier to eat with a fork. A little more oily then I had anticipated, but an awesome treat for sure. Set-up is great with ordering on one side and pick-up on the other leaving them middle sections between each building open with picnic tables and a walk out to the desk facing the beautiful water. Parking is horrible for the amount of people that come in and out. Prices were more than I had expected but I guess if people are willing to buy them at that price why lower them. Would recommend going to when not in a rush, wait times can be long. Overall great place!

The pattern one may notice across my reviews is that my family and I are creatures of habit and when we are in town for our annual family vacation we have some non-negotiable stops. Donutz On A Stick being one of them! While they are tucked into a corner in the Wee Winks Square shopping center, just follow the fresh smell of baked goods :D While they also serve ice cream (I'm sure also good for Summer months especially), you obviously have to get some donuts while you're here. They have a variety of options to choose from (and a cute display window to see what they look like and help you choose, or make the decision harder depending on who you are haha). A small stick is 2 donuts of the same kind and a large stick is 4 donuts total, 2 of 2 flavors (or 4 of the same if you're really committed ;D). You just can't beat the melt-in your mouthness of freshly made donuts. As in, made when you order!! As pictured, we're fans of the rainbow, tuxedo especially, but you really can't go wrong, because the base donuts are solid quality, so the toppings are just whatever suits your fancy in the moment. If you're a coffee person, make sure to get an iced coffee to go with your donuts, they make their own iced coffee cubes so your drink never gets watered down even as it melts! So smooth, so tasty! Cause we come around Thanksgiving, it gets dark early. The shopping center doesn't appear to be well lit at night, so don't let that dissuade you from an evening treat. They're open! And they also update their hours online, so google should usually be accurate as well :)

I remember the ice cream being very good along with their shakes! Today we just got sno balls which is basically a sno cone in a cup. They do have a great variety of flavors. My wife ordered ice cream that tasted like it had been cryogenically frozen since the Reagan administration. You ever had ice cream so freezer burnt it crunches? Yeah, it was like that. I figured I'd play it safe and go with a cotton candy snow cone. Big mistake. I don't know what kind of cotton candy they've been sniffing in Hawaii, but mine tasted like a urinal cake in a gas station bathroom--sweet, chemical-y, and weirdly minty in the worst possible way. To top it off, the woman behind the counter grabbed the ice cream bare-handed. No gloves. Just out here raw-dogging the frozen dairy like hygiene isn't a thing. Maybe that explains the "flavor." If you're in the mood for a science experiment gone wrong or want to know what disappointment tastes like, this is your place. Otherwise, steer clear.

He was initially warm and as we ordered, asked that he let us know if we inadvertently selected a dish containing pork. The dishes arrived with astonishing speed. The Caesar salad had some unidentified fried object on it and when I asked the waiter, he let me know it was pork rinds. He did not acknowledge that it was an error and flippantly suggested I remove them. I asked for a plate to put them on. The waiter's demeanor turned cold after this (what I considered innocuous) exchange. Regarding the dishes, everything was beautifully presented and arrived hot and fresh at our table. I would not recommend the fried cauliflower as it was very bland with some chili sauce splashed over top. The scallops were very well prepared however. NC Coast is a nice spot for a special meal, especially with the view. Just hope the service is more consistent with other guests.
